well uh when did you get the news your reaction when you told you were going to be the starter uh a couple days ago um they made a decision and um got a few reps of practice um yeah I just do my job and uh get ready to play well this is a you know a high pressure high stake situation here I mean we all can read the standings you're being thrown into the game there just your thoughts on that added pressure in addition to starting yeah I think that being in this position I mean being a quarterback in any any League um especially even the guys on our team um you're expected to play well and that's what they pay you to do so uh I'm excited for the opportunity I'm going to do my best and uh give us the best chance to to win at the best of my abilities and uh I'm excited how prepared do you feel for this you've been around the team now for a year and a half are you ready are you feel ready yeah I feel good uh obviously when this when Jake's playing most of the time you don't really think about other guys but we work just as hard as um the starter does and we just don't really get to play on Saturday so um prepared for this since I got in this league so it's been a year and a half now and so just trust my preparation and uh go out there and play how much do it help that you just played Edmonton they probably aren't a lot of surprises in terms of what they're going to do yeah I mean it's it helps a little bit um they're I'm sure they're going to change some things up just as every team would be the next the next game so um they did some really good things and we got to do better in some areas and um I'm really excited just to get opportunity to play and um and give this team um a chance to win you've seen you in brief glimpses uh you know over the last couple years just give us sort of a report on what people could expect from you yeah um I uh I'm a fighter I uh compete to the highest I can um and I really just competitor um at the end of the day I want the ball in my hands um and I I want to go win um that's why I'm here um that's why they kept me here and I think that uh I just do my best and um see what happens I think it's been a couple of years since you've started a game right will there a while be some nerves uh I mean yeah can't they can't lie uh obviously if there's nerves is it's pretty good um some nerves are good um but yeah no I feel good I'm excited for the opportunity and uh see what happens as as Pastor said you know you've been here you know the Personnel I you just get dropped in on Tuesday right yeah that'd be a little different um no I've been here for a year and a half and I've been studying and and and working and uh growing in this league and um there's a lot of things I had to figure out beginning of the league and um I think with time and and all the preparation I've had over the last year here I think I'm I'm ready to roll
