to losos konga very famous stage and finish it's about 9k 9% and then there's a 3K up and down to the finish in konga 4,000 M altitude gain in the whole stage so very hard climbs before as well vanard in the green jersey but he's actually tied on points with Vine in the polka dot to is right those two would be wanting to get in the breakway to fight for the points on offer there was two category ones and an Especial but vanar crashes after he got in the break and it looked like he was going to lose any chance to fight for km because he's a minute behind the Pelon Solair and Vine are getting into the break R the break is forming he gets very lucky that it took a long time for the break to form the door shut in the Pelon and he's made it alongside jayv so very strong Breakaway Zan Freo who' been strong in this race Max p as well so a familiar cast of characters Richard Etc that you might expect from this Welter and Breakaway so far the kathon don't care because there's no one of GC relevance so they Pace about 9 minutes behind first category one hard climb about 7K is 8% UAE tried to pull the one two on vanat but in the end it was it wasn't paced hard enough Vine attacks but vanat in the wheel and is able to Sprint him Vine sort of doesn't waste his legs sprinting all the way to the line and vanard sees that he's got a big gap those two had gotten a gap and then Vine let the wheel go and actually at the base of that climb on the other side Van's taken a minute it went to a minute 10 before they started relaying behind so ad Engles tells vanard probably with the valley being so long just go back into the group before Co yaina which is what happens and we restart proceedings for the km battle but behind Carlos canal and mestar they have plans Oliva behind for enrik m to make this stage difficult are they making it difficult or are they trying to launch enri M like en Egan Bernal launched on this clim in 2021 maybe Englehart heard that the German young Rider on jco very talented Rider he's pacing for Zana maybe they heard they've lost two minutes because of ma star's pacing but they're running out of numbers and so it's actually Egan Bernal 2.0 enrik M attacks RIT follows but so does everybody else on K Y Man Landa counters luckily for Ben o Conor Valentin per pantra is out is there to lock this down and Pace to stop the attacks in the breakway vanard takes another 10 points on top of Yuma for the K Jersey and then onto this treacherous descent there been crashes on here before in 2021 and Englehart perhaps he heard of the pressure from the GC group behind is taking a lot of risks pushing The Descent vanard second wheel laying off and then we see behind Solair was taking it very very easy Englehart Del Toro I think and vanard in a ditch and vanard is the worst off of all of them Englehart comes in too fast grabs too much break slides out and vanard holds it up but actually tries to really save it but when you see the overhead he goes into this uh embankment to the side which is actually filled with like Shale and rocks and gravel and all sorts of rubbish and he gets some sort of deep laceration to his right knee so even though he didn't slide out like angle hard to hit the deck and he got back up pretty quickly vanarts the worst off and when we see him on clip and get to the car very sad his race was over he had the green jersey pretty much wrapped up he was looking good for K he' taken three stages and he looked in great shape after what's been a disappointing year for him so far with the huge crash in DW's du so very sad to see but the race goes on onto the final clim Lagos to covadonga vine now that I look at it again I think cuz Del Toro gave him his sunnies I think they were trying to work over pool and I think they went Vine first P responded deloro second P responded and then Solair go so I think they were trying to work over Max P who's was very good in Burgos nearly one GC there talented the scantor uh scud on DSM fic post now and the Spectre of Mark Solair keeps returning to him so Zana would Mark him then cair would return cair would attack him but then he wants to pace and then he's looking at cair like can you take a pull and this is where he makes mistake is he allows Mark Solair you know he wins the Oscar he allows him to trick him into thinking he can't pace and so he just Paces for 2ks with Solair on the front without dropping him and then Solair counters just about a mile before it levels off and there's a descent where you can recover a little bit and yeah Solair and UAE played and worked over Max pool perfect job from them and Solair takes a deserved stage win after being in the Breakaway so often this felter but back in the Pelon Landers put katano on the front to pay he's already attacked on Yuma he goes again on konga with eight G to go maybe a bit early in hindsight but because there's Valentin Perry pantra to Pace with everyone in the wheels behind but not long after M sets out after Landa well not really I think he was just testing everybody has diamonds in the legs he looks the strongest uphill at the moment uh enrik Mar after qur and and Ben o Conor he was losing time fast with carapaz sensing that he could go on the podium spot with Lander dropping with rogl on Gap Mar was continuing sensing weakness in RIT he had him on a Gap a couple of times he had him on a gap on quru and they're getting close to the top and OK Conor's on about 50 seconds it goes to nearly a minute but he gets saved by this irregular finish they stole a bit bit of tactics on the downhill okona pushes full maybe he paced himself better today as well going past some other GC Riders and when it's all said and done carazas RIT finish together with the others not too far behind and Ben Conor saves his red jersey fantastic job from him but the stage winner Mark Sol 18 seconds ahead of Z then P Vine is air deloro fro richello and M carapaz leading the GC group 3 minutes 54 behind here's what so had to say after the stage is this your best Victory no I think no but it's it's very special because uh I didn't win a lot uh with this team and after two years win again here in laa is very special thanks in terms of GC okona keeps the Jersey by a slender 5 seconds with a TT Rog is basically in Virtual red but okona still hanging on for the podium 125 146 to Carz who
