this was our Port experience in Juno Alaska in August of 2024 now there's a variety of things to do in Juno but since we pursued more extravagant excursions in other ports we opted not to do so in Juno which had us just exploring the historic downtown area now with the Norwegian Jewel ship docking at the AJ dock just outside of town it was a 5minute free bus ride to the downtown area although you could walk it if you had the energy once you're downtown you can expect to see plenty of shopping ranging from souvenir trinkets to high-end jewelry and even the Alaskan fudge company but dominating the Town Center you'll find the gold belt tram running from downtown High into the Mountaintop Al day passes for the tram at the time this video was made was 55 for adults and 40 for children 3 to 12 with tickets available for on-site purchase from downtown you'll also encounter a picturesque Boardwalk running against the coastline featuring totem poles benches and restaurants along the way you'll also find tiny kiosks offering locally run excursions to all of Juno's offerings just be careful since locally run operations do not come with the same assurances that the cruise ship excursions do so take advantage of these at your own risk finally if you're a fan of Alaskan king crab be sure to plan your lunch or dinner around a Landmark restaurant called Tracy's King Crab Shack established in 2006 this restaurant is a staple of the town center and it does not disappoint I won't lie since our stay in Juno went from morning into evening we actually went to Tracy's for lunch and dinner I mean it's not like you're there every day if you like this video or found the content helpful please drop us a like and a follow as it will help us as we look to add more material and grow our audience thanks for watching
