[Music] [Applause] [Music] movc um is expanding we're growing we're adding uh the advanced manufacturing program uh through mamc at Marshall um we are also adding a sid program and that's to our normal undergrad programs of nursing social work and the RBA um all three of those can be um completed all four years here at mov and the real Advantage for that is for the for the students is that they don't have to live on campus when they attend here as long as they're within that 50 m radius I think that the the programs that we're adding currently are really needed in our community we've had this program here for quite some time um and we do offer the four-year bachelor's program in nursing we ENT uh we offer it via interactive televised distance education where the students are in the classroom here and they are um taking the classes at the same time as the Huntington students are using the technology that is available today um their clinicals are either located here or on the main campus in Huntington depending on the numbers of students that we have in the classes um and so you know it is the same Marshall program as what is on the Huntington campus nursing is totally in demand um there are so many different opportunities with nursing right now we are kind of having a nursing shortage so so that we are uh truly looking for um an increase in nursing students um for the profession and for the healthcare trying to take care of you know so many different areas of nursing within acute care within the community um so the the possibilities are endless with this profession not everyone comes into movc thinking they're going to do social work um and that's okay but a lot of people when they take their first psychology class their first Sociology class or something related like that they really um develop a Love or an appreciation for that knowledge and see that how social work itself can utilize that and take them in a different path to essentially the same result that they wanted to go with um originally so I don't cut social work out really explore it it's such a broad field um and you can do almost anything with a social work degree this is a an in demand career option for for people wanting to start out in in a career field that pays very well and has upward Mobility so they can go and specialize in certain areas such as uh computers plcs they're called or they can specialize in electrical and when they do those things their uh employment opportunities and their earning potential really goes up and they will be able to earn an associate degree in what is called smart smart stands for systems maintenance automation robo prods technology and they can earn their associate degree and what we teach them is how to work on pretty much everything [Music]
