Week 2 CFB SCORE PREDICTIONS

[Music] in [Music] what's up everybody welcome back to the minute man podcast it is now week two for the college football season last week our pick thems were pretty spoton I think we got two games wrong and that's about it the closest score I think I predicted was that NC State game which is ironic because I got a bunch of texts about halfway through that game saying I don't know man your wolf Pack's looking bad I'm not a wolf pack fan I'm a buckeye I love Ohio State Buckeyes but I find myself being a little bit of a homer now that I live here in Raleigh I tend to lead towards the wolf pack and cheer them on and my prediction was pretty spoton I was almost really really close I think just two field goals is what I got my separated between my score predictions of that game so nothing surprised me there but enough of last week we are jumping into week two this week the rankings just came out I am filming this on Tuesday at about 3:00 in the afternoon so so the rankings just now came out of the top 25 which means we have a new lineup of games this week and without further Ado let's jump into this week's pick [Music] [Applause] thems all right starting off we already have a bag of hammers getting thrown in our face at noon we have number three Texas heading into the big house the face number 10 Michigan this game is going to be one of those games that dictate probably playoff contingency and then also conference championships later on I know it's an out-of-conference game but this is one of those games that later on once you get into conference play this is going to hold a lot of weight going into that playoffs when you talk about experience playing those big teams and these are possibly two teams that could be fighting for that playoff spot so let's get into that score prediction I really liked what I saw out of Michigan it was nothing surprising I know a lot of people out there were kind of excited and impressed with their offense it was about where I thought it would be their defense is always going to be good uh I thought they did a really good job playing against Fresno State I know a lot of people look at that and they go well Fresno State isn't that good Daren I think is a casual take Fresno State is a good program they're going to compete good enough for a good week one um pretty much gauge for where your program's at and I thought Michigan played really well but Texas impressed me even more Texas looks like the best team in the country right now not to take away from Georgia with a huge win over a ranked Clemson team but looking at Texas they just looked all around the best team right now out of week one it's a very early in the year it's a long season a lot of things can happen but they just look deep their defense looks great their offense looks even better I just really like Texas and in this one I don't have a big barn burner here obviously with Michigan losing a lot on offense but I do think their defense can keep them in this game but Texas just has a little bit too much more on offense I'm taking the Longhorns in this one 28-17 over the Wolverines moving on to Bowling Green against number eight Penn State talk about teams that impressed me Penn State was probably the most impressive team last week in the Big 10 and that's not an exaggeration I really think Penn State offense now looks really really dangerous compared to last season's offense so whatever they got Brewing up there um in Happy Valley it's it's going to be really really fun to watch them develop in this week it's not going to be that big of a scare it's not going to be a stinker either I got the score being 42 Penn State uh Bowling Green seven nothing shocking there but Penn State if they can keep this offensive production going Penn State's going to be really dangerous when they go in face all the big dogs and the Big 10 moving on to Arkansas versus number 16 Oklahoma State now this score I have been very very close and that's not to take away from Oklahoma State I thought Oklahoma State played pretty well week one nothing surprising there but Arkansas looked a lot better than what I thought they would look and I know that they didn't play anybody great I get that I get that they didn't even play a division one team I get it I get that but Arkansas they just looked to get out of the shadow of what they've been really dropping the ball over the last few years their program has really went down the stinker and last week it looked like a brighter future in the next 5 years or so I know it's a long plan going on in Arkansas but what I saw right out of the gates this year I'm really impressed with Arkansas I think they can run the ball really really well I have this score being 23 Oklahoma State over Arkansas 21 and like I said that's not to take away from Oklahoma at all I think Oklahoma State's a good program but I think I was just more impressed with how Arkansas looked with everything going on in their program so I think Arkansas can keep this one close but overall we'll take the Cowboys in that one moving on to number 17 Kansas State vers taine now if this was last year and Tain still had Michael Pratt I would probably pick Tain to win this one but they lost way too much they lost some key receivers they lost Michael Pratt they lost their running back um Tain is a good good program they had a bunch of good defensive players last year as well but Kansas State I think they got something special going on with Thompson um I'm going to take Kansas State in this one 28- 17 moving on to number 23 Georgia Tech for Syracuse Now Syracuse fans are really really high on Kyle McCord and I don't blame him I got a lot of texts and I saw a lot of comments on social media feeds saying thanks Ohio State for giving us Kyle McCord you can have Kyle McCord and pretty soon you can have Ryan day too Kyle mcord I have nothing against Kyle McCord I just don't think he's a game-changing quarterback that you need in key moments in big games but he did look really really well as his uh debut in Syracuse so I can't take anything away from him he looked phenomenal game one but you know who else look phenomenal Georgia Tech and I don't think Florida state is that great I called that by the way if you want to go back and watch The Archives of week one I called right out of the gates that Florida state was going to lose to Georgia Tech and it wasn't to take away from Florida State I said that Florida State lost a lot of Talent last year that I think a lot of the big head media the big media heads aren't talking about and a lot of experts and analysts weren't talking about they lost their entire offensive weapons they've lost a lot of weapons on defense Florida State lost too much this off season for me to think that they were good so I called that out of the gates now I did have them beating Boston College so them losing to Boston College was a little bit of a surprise but I also had that score being very very close so that game wasn't that surpris surprising to me either as it stands though I did have Georgia Tech beating them and this week I also have Georgia Tech beating Syracuse 35 to 24 and that's just because Georgia Tech's defense is insane that linebacker that wears the neck pad like Bobby bue running around just smashing dudes he's nasty they got a great defense they have one of the best coaching stats in the country I really like Georgia Tech this year and in this week especially I have them beating Syracuse Tech or Tennessee Tech versus number one Georgia now I'm not trying to look like a Georgia hater I know it's going to come across as a Georgia hater I don't hate Georgia but I think last week's win over Clemson is a very impressive win it's a very good win but I also don't think it was so much Georgia being really unrelentingly good as much as it showed and exposed how bad Clemson's offense was their offense was absolutely horrible and you have nobody to blame but dbo for this if you can't get any if you're that stubborn to not get any transfer Talent your program is going to disappear and I love Dabo he's me a lot to that Community a lot to that program a lot to that University but if he doesn't adapt I don't know what more evidence you need and except for last week Georgia Molly whopped you all across the field so Clemson's got to change their entire outlook on how they move forward so I just think it was more of Clemson's neglect towards their program more than it was Georgia's intellect going into the game but it's Tennessee Tech this week they're going to beat the dog [ __ ] out of them give me the Bulldog 65 to Zer over Tennessee Tech Now new Northern Illinois versus number five Notre Dame called that one as well I had Notre Dame beaten uh Texas A&M which I guess a lot of people out there if you look at favoritism and uh Vegas had them favor too but all the comments I saw and I saw Game T just sweeping through picking Texas A&M like I said these experts and analysists must have had Amnesia in the off season or something like that Tennessee or Texas A&M has struggled the last few years now I get it they got Mike Elco now they're on the right path but he's not going to walk in and overnight just turn that Talent around and turn into the program of his dreams that doesn't happen very often ex unless you're like a Nick Sabin or Urban Meyer like the greatest coaches of all time can do that are we going to consider mik Elco the greatest coach of all time no but he's a very phenomenal coach but with that being said we knew that Texas A&M defense was going to look great they did I knew that that offense had some questions but they looked good enough but we knew that Notre Dame already had all their parts established Marcus Freeman's already been there a year he brought in some uh Riley Leonard and some more Talent through the transfer portal he had all the weapons already in place Jeremiah love that defense is already one of the best with Xavier Watts like they have a defensive ground set team and then they have Mitchell Evans like I can go on and on about the talent they have there and they brought in the pieces that they needed in the transfer portal take notes davo that's what you should be doing but that's why I knew Notre Dame was going to beat Texas A&M and obviously they're going to win this week because they got Northern Illinois but I really like Notre Dame I can see Notre Dame winning out and taking that fifth spot in the playoffs only because they are not in a conference but Notre Dame is a team that a lot of people are sleeping on I think it's because of Past Notre Dame teams where they always lose the big ones they always lose which is fair it's granted I guess but times change times change a lot and I think Notre Dame is a team to be wrecked with this year give me Notre Dame over Northern Illinois 33-7 now we're going to go down well not really down we're going to go west up into the mountains we have Baylor versus number 11 Utah Utah I always slander them every year I don't know why I think that's a popular thing I think everybody does because they're so boring I I like to compare them to the Tim Duncan of college football they do everything right they got a great coach they got a great uh culture they always win the Pack 12 when cam rising's healthy like they win the Rose Bowl when cam Rising is healthy like they are a really good program but for some reason all of us slag them off well guess what I'm going to slag him off again this week and it's not to take away from him this time I know I take away from him every other other week but this week I am not taken away from them there's a joke in there and sarcasm in there if you can tell but I like Baylor not to win this one I have Utah winning this one 31 to 17 but I like Baylor because they got dayquon Finn now me being playing or I didn't play went to too so I went to the University of Toledo obviously I'm a homer for Toledo I love daon Finn I thought he was tremendous for the Toledo Rockets for his entire career transferred over to Baylor Baylor needed a quarterback last last last year they had no production on offense they looked like they were struggling now I really think dayquon Finn can be a weapon for them so that's why I have the score being a little bit close uh compared to other scores but I still think Utah they're just too good of a team right now to take away from them so give me Utah to beat Baylor 31 to 17 going on to a big rivalry I love this rivalry because it reminds me a high school football and it's not to disrespect the talent the talent's there but the way it's played is just a physical Smashmouth drain you out like a vampire offense and defense Iowa state versus number 21 Iowa now if this was Iowa last year I would be concerned that Iowa State could go in there with Beck at quarterback and go in there and actually upset Iowa but Iowa scored 40 points last week that might be the most points that they've scored in the past decade and that's not an exaggeration Iowa looked great they didn't play anybody good but Iowa looked great last week on offense I don't know what was happening but it looked good so I can't take away from Iowa but this week I think we come back down to reality I do have Iowa winning but I have it being very low scoring I have the score being 17 to 10 Iowa over the Cyclones but I really like Iowa a lot if they somehow score over 30 this week and take a win I'll tell you what Iowa should be actually or 13 to the big team 10 should be concerned about Iowa cuz that means Iowa's offense Is For Real this year year and we should really take them seriously all right Jackson or Jacksonville State vers number 22 Louisville now it's going to sound like I bash Louisville which I don't have any reason to I just don't think Louisville is that great I know that they the love affair really came when Lamar Jackson was there and then years after that they kind of fell off and then they came back into the linelight last year with joar Jordan at running back like I I get the love affair for them but I just don't think it's this year I think that they're a rebound a rebuild team like they don't rebuild and rebound right away like the big dogs and the ACC and the big dogs big 10 sec I just think this is a developmental year now they are playing Jacksonville State so I have them winning 35 to 10 but just keep I I don't want you to look at them being ranked 22 and as the season progresses they get these little wins and they slowly climb up in the rankings and then when they play a really good ranked team in the regular season in the ACC you look at that ranking and you become a ranking slave and you're like well it could be an upset I really would be cautious on that when Louisville plays a really really good team watch out cuz they could get really beaten really badly this week not happening easy win for Louisville moving on to Middle Tennessee State uh against number six Old Miss Old Miss looked like a [ __ ] fire last week they looked really really good which I knew they would my playoff predictions I really have them going deep if not winning the SEC I have them being the runner runner up in the SEC against Texas uh or outside of Missouri I'm sorry I had Missouri being the runner up but I have old miss being third in the SEC I know Georgia fans right now are freaking out but I really like Old Miss man I think this is the year for Lane kein they got it working and they got Middle Tennessee State this week so which doesn't to hurt you that much I have them winning 48-7 and uh moving on to Florida keeping the game in Florida Florida A&M verse number 12 Miami Miami is looking like they're just going to sweep through Florida like a hurricane and just beat everybody in Florida Miami looked insane last week now my uh algorithm that I did had Miami winning the game now I went back on it and said I don't care what my algorithm says I am going straight up with Florida I didn't give a score prediction for that I think my score prediction that came out of my algorithm was 27 to 21 Miami over Florida but I disrespected the algorithm I said I'm not taking that I'm not buying it there's no way Billy Napier can stand to lose this game well guess what Billy Napier I guess lost the game horribly now before I get into the score prediction of this game let's talk about Florida real quick they're in deep trouble I don't know what Strickland's doing over there and I don't know what Billy Napier is doing over there I was sticking next I was sticking my neck out for Napier and defending the man saying Strickland kind of has him uh on a chain he can't really go get who he really wants in the transfer portal they're not dishing out nil money like they should which I think is still true I think Strickland's not doing his job to help the program develop and go get talent that they need but watching what I just watched after an entire season and you see the Deep dark schedule ahead for Florida that was a game that even if you're going to lose you can't afford to lose by 30 that is horrible so he's in hot hot water Florida might be a poverty program at this point unless they change something drastically with that being said and that out of the way let's move on to Miami and how good they look Miami's dangerous Miami might be a top four team in the country the fact that they're ranked 12 is completely disrespectful in my opinion I think they should be ranked in the top 10 10 but they're going to prove it as the season goes on not worried about it especially this week when they got Florida A&M give me Miami 56 over Florida A&M University of South Florida versus number four Alabama Alabama looked really good but that shouldn't be shocking I mean kayin deor is an offensive Guru and he's going to make Jaylen Milroy look even better I look for Milroy to be a Heisman Contender if not take it this year I know it's very early and a lot of players look great especially Boise State's running back looks really good but I think Milroy at the end of the year he he's just the way kayin deore develops quarterbacks you saw it with Michael pennick I think he's going to win the Heisman I really do now granted it was week one they didn't play anybody good and they don't have anybody good this week I know everybody's going to well look at last year Darion USF almost beat him I don't see that happening this year I really don't this is a different team a different mindset they're going to want to prove everybody wrong cuz I think everybody's slacking them off because of the Nick Sabin departure that I got something to prove give me Alabama 41 over U us USF 7 all right Buffalo at number nine Missouri now Missouri is another team that looked good I feel like I'm a broken record at this point CU a lot of teams looked really good last week and a lot of teams did not look good this last week but Missouri is one of those teams that looked good I knew they were going to be great when you have uh Brady cook at your quarterback and you have Luther Burton catching the ball they're going to look good they've always had a great defense and like I've said before they they have the best coaching staff in the entire country if I had to rank the top two coaching staffs right now in America it would be Missouri at one and Georgia Tech at two I think they have the two best coaching staffs in the entire country Missouri being number one they're just a really really good team and they play Buffalo this week Buffalo is going to feel a little bit better getting out of the cold a little bit starting to get cold up there in New York but they're going to be coming down here playing in Missouri I got Missouri winning this one 42-4 all right moving on to number 19 Kansas playing Illinois a lot of people high on Kansas in the Big 12 this year I like it but like I said it all depends on if Daniels is healthy or not he looked good last week this week it's not really to take away from Kansas I just have a love affair for Luke Alm I I can't explain it I get [ __ ] all the time from my buddy saying dude Luke alm's not that good well guess what I think he is good I just think their offensive line is absolute trash at Illinois but I think Illinois could give Kansas a little bit of a scare this week I have the score being Kansas 24 Illinois 14 I just think it's one of those weird games where nobody's looking at Illinois and I love teams like that I love teams where nobody's looking at it I said it with Georgia Tech last week everybody was focused on Florida not looking at what Georgia Tech did last year they had a lot of close upsets and they did upset Miami last year they almost beat Georgia last year they were they have a program on the up and up so I said that about Georgia Tech Illinois is not an up and up program but they are a sneaky team like Luke Alm is a really good quarterback and they have good receivers over there at Illinois and a lot of good weapons that they could sneak up on a team especially in the Big 10 they're not going to be favorite at all pretty much but a game like this where they know before they get into the thick of the Big 10 they could steal a win here and they're at home they're going to try their best here to pull the all the stops out on this one but Talent Gap right there give me Kansas over all right another big game here number 14 Tennessee playing number 24 NC State if this was last week I'm taking NC State but I'll tell you what Nico is for real and I talk [ __ ] about him all the time I talk [ __ ] about Tennessee Nico is for real man he looked like the real deal I think he's going to be up there as a Heisman candidate too right there with Jaylen Milroy NC State though started off painfully slow painfully slow now they stayed true and got my score prediction pretty close um but the I'll tell you what I don't think Grayson McCall is the answer and I hate to say that cuz I like the kid I like Waters at running back I like Noah Rogers I like their defense I like their coaching staff I really like the NC State program but Tennessee man they look they look damn good last week and Nico looks like he's ready to torch the entire country I'm going to take Tennessee in this one close but I'm going to take Tennessee on the road at NC State give me Tennessee 28 NC State 24 moving on to Nicholls verse number 18 LSU lot of SEC fans were surprised including me of a big 10 guy and I was surprised that you USC B LSU but I wasn't that surprised I had a score a close score prediction but I had LSU edging it out just because I trust Brian Kelly a little bit more than Lincoln Riley but that's what happens I don't I don't think you can take anything from either team I thought both teams looked way better on defense from last year they had two of the worst defenses I've ever seen from Power five uh conference teams but both defenses looked really good both quarterbacks looked really good the coaches didn't really do any horrible play calling or uh make bad decisions I just think it was a false game if we're going to ride off LSU because they lost to USC cuz I know a lot of people want to do that because of how bad USC was last year I think a lot of people want to ride off LSU now like oh they're they're horrible remember a lot of people rode off LSU last year when they lost to Florida State you can't really do that Brian Kelly is a good coach LSU is a BL uh blue blood program they're going to be good so don't slag them off and this week it's going to be a cupcake match they're going to wash the sheets red with this one I love this game give me LSU Big Time 55 Z over Nicholls moving on to Houston versus number 15 Oklahoma Oklahoma looked pretty good they they didn't really impress me nor did they they let me down they didn't disappoint me either but Houston is sneaky Houston's a sneaky program I really like Houston I think they're sneaky Oklahoma still trying to get their feet wet in the SEC this looks like a game that they might pass over they might look ahead not even thinking about Houston um so this is a this is a scary game for Oklahoma I think me personally Oklahoma fans might think differently or they might agree I just think this is a trap game for Oklahoma moving to the SEC they're going to be looking forward to better compet ition and Houston isn't that great but they are a sneaky program with sneaky talent I mean you look at tank Dell that just came out played with CJ St looked phenomenal uh Houston's Got Talent and I think they have enough talent to go up meeing punch in mouth up front the big uglies so I got this game being close but I do have Oklahoma winning I have the game being 35-21 Oklahoma over Houston moving on to App State versus number 25 Clemson kind of already jumped into that pool talking about Dabo but I don't think I said anything that everybody else around the world's not saying about dbo Clemson's in trouble man if they don't adapt it's going to be bad and this game is also a trap game when you get beat brutally spiritually and morally against Georgia the way you did it's hard to turn around and play a team like App State because much like Houston I think app state is a trap game because they have agular QB they have a good program they have a good culture app state is a good program and they played really good against Clemson last year so you can't Overlook them but I do have Clemson winning this one 28 to 21 over Appalachian State but don't overlook Appalachian State I'm telling you right now if you do App State could be an upset so if any team's on upset alert this week I would say Clemson with App State speaking of upset alert up next Boise State vers number seven Oregon Boise State I like laughed my ass off this off season when I saw the experts talking about Boise State getting that 12th spot which I get they have a great running back then they have uh Malachi Nelson going over there and he didn't even start Maxon starts over him but uh they have a good program but I always overlooked him I'm like I I don't see it I like Texas stayed a lot at that 12th spot which they really disappointed me I might have to change that prediction later on but as it stands they're still undefeated I'm sticking with Texas state but Oregon on the other hand looked horrible and that honestly was the biggest shocker of the entire week if any team looked really bad outside of Clemson Oregan looked absolutely awful I did not expect their offense to be so stale which is insane because they had so many passing yards I I I don't I can't explain it they struggled in the Red Zone they did they just did not look good and Idaho was able to control the clock like it looked really bad a really bad look for Oregon and Boise States no flub this is is a huge Trap game this week but I have to believe Dan lanning's going to have his boys and the Ducks ready to roll and Quack their way to a victory on this one give me Oregon 35 to 21 but that is a very scary game for the Ducks if they don't get it right moving on to Northern Arizona verse number 20 Arizona Noah faid I've always had this hunch and I've said I don't really think he's that good he the stats from last week if you go look at him they're not going to do justice from what I saw with my eyes I don't think he's that good and it's not that I don't think he's bad and I don't think he's great he's somewhere in the middle he's he's a good system QB but that system left last year with Jeb fish people got to remember that Jeb fish is now up there in Washington with uh Will Rogers so Arizona I think is in a little trap this season where people are going to have this love affair with Noah faid and remember what they did last year year with a couple upsets and they're favored to win the big like I get it I get the love affair for them but I'm not seeing it and I'm not buying it but this should be an easy win this week give me Arizona winning 48 to Zer over Northern uh Arizona moving on to Utah State versus number 13 USC like I said about USC they impressed me a lot with their development on defense in the off season and that's a huge win especially when you lose uh Caleb and everybody's thinking how do you get that offense going I know Miller Moss looked really great in the bowl game and everybody's high on him but that's a generational Talent that's hard to replac and they look like copy paste they looked really good and it looked like Lincoln Riley kind of evolved his coaching style a little bit last week against LSU so good for him good for that program and they got Utah State this week you don't want to take a step back you never want to let your foot off the pedal when it comes to college football cuz you can get upset any week but if there is a week I think USC take take your foot the P off the pedal just a little bit just tap it a little bit you got Utah State you're at home don't do anything crazy just control the clock trust your defense because now your defense showed that they can stop a really good quarterback at nus me at LSU so they have a really good defense now it's just trying to see where that defense develops into Elite really good good average Fool's goal we really don't know yet so we got to wait on them but as it stands they got Utah State this week give me USC over Utah State 35 to7 now I got a lot of complaints and texts not really in the comments which I really appreciate it thank you for not hating me publicly but I got a lot of hateful me not hateful but a lot of annoyed friends and family that watch my videos they text me and they said why would you stop in the middle of your score predictions to go on a rant against Ryan day in Ohio State so I'm taking into your consideration family and friends thank you for your your constructive criticism so I saved Ohio State score prediction against Western Michigan to the very end of this episode so Western Michigan going to the shoe to play number two Ohio State first problem I have with that why is it a night game now I'm not even going to be able to watch this game because I'm in the Army Reserves I have training this week of course but if there's a game I would wouldn't mind missing it's probably this one but it's still shocked why are we doing a night game against Western Michigan what I guess to get the crowd going up against the the Broncos I guess I I don't know but with that being said the score is not going to do that game Justice and I know a lot of people remember that first half like I do watching that game and I got to tell you the talent is pouring over at Ohio State we have so much talent on the field that there is no excuse why the score should have been the way it was at the half and how sloppy and unprepared we looked it was bad it was really really bad I was texting my friends and family saying how is Ryan Day not prepared for akan how does the offense somehow look worse than it did last year it's the offensive line the offensive line is atrocious which I don't understand when we go and get transfers from Alabama and we have actually a young offensive line not very very young but you have Josh fr Fire's been there for a couple years like we have guys that have experience in our program and we have five-star transfers coming over here from Alabama why do we look so bad on the offensive line I can't explain it but I can tell you what's not helping them is the goddamn dog [ __ ] bull bull crap plays that we're doing on offense the offensive scheme under Chip Kelly somehow makes our offense look worse than it did last year which is bananas cuz that was my biggest complaint about last year was how bad our offensive scheme was why don't we run the ball why don't we do vertical passes down the field why don't we take shots down the field and immediately against akan the entire first half I see Will Howard under dur rest throwing [ __ ] Slants and passes out to the flats and screens like we did last year and it stinks we're not good at it and I get it if you're worried about that offensive line not being able to hold up I get that but it's [ __ ] akan if they can't hold up against akan we're screwed so you might as well just burn the barn down and figure it out which I don't see us doing I I I do not understand how the offense could look as shitty as it did now the second half it looked better and if I'm taking any positives away the defense looked a lot better in the second half but the first half they were still the bend but don't or the don't bend but break defense now I've used that analogy last year a lot so I'm going to say it again because if you didn't catch it this is what I said we are a don't bend but break defense now I'm sure you're familiar with the motto Bend but don't break that's what you want your defense to do it's okay to give up for first downs here and there or big plays here and there but you hold teams to field goals you're able to get your offense back on the field you're able to get your defense off the field because you make big stops our team is the complete opposite we make great stops first and second down and then third and long or some random big play we give it up and give them first downs we let them get continue drives like akan didn't do anything crazy offensively all they did was use their tight ends and keep getting first downs and kill the clock that's why when I'm looking at it and it's like 6 to zero and I'm like how is there only 3 minutes left in the first quarter we're down 6 to zero and then you go back and you watch the tape and you watch what we're doing on offense we're not run the ball so we're not keeping like we're not gaining positive yards we're we're barely running the ball which when we did we' get stuffed we got tackled in the back field and then immediately oh let's abandon the Run that's Chip Kelly's mindset let's abandon the Run we we got a negative one yard that's not how you do it you think Michigan every time they get stopped in the back field is like all right you know what we got to stop all this [ __ ] right now no more running it we're not handing it off anymore air it out no teams do that because they're not cowards for some reason we coach like cowards soon as we One play doesn't work out abandon it move on now I know that sounds hypocritical because what I'm telling you is to abandon the [ __ ] screens and stuff like that it doesn't work majority of the time it doesn't I watch it with my eyes if it's not working for the entire first half you don't need to keep throwing screens and [ __ ] what you need to do is start to develop a run now I know we're trying to create our own image run our own offense we want to be special at Ohio State because we're so privileged and cool and we got so much speed and talent that we need to utilize it you can but you need to develop a front you need to have some kind of run presence you need to be able to run the ball down people's throats and if you can't keep [ __ ] doing it cuz eventually you got to stack the box when you have trayon Henderson and Quin Shan junkins at running back it's like we forget we have the two best running backs in the country yet we're still too scared to run the ball which is insane that right there is a neglect of coaching and this is why I say I have a huge problem with Ryan day and now I have even bigger problem with Chip Kelly which I never did until just now but this is what I'm talking about I get so much hate from my Ohio state friends and everybody when I say Ryan day is not the coach for us he's just not and everybody's like you're [ __ ] crazy look at his record look at yeah his record's great against akan yeah we won 51 to six but did anybody else watch the [ __ ] game that I watched did anybody else else watch it with their real eyes and be objective not look at the score or look at the final score look how good we did in the first half look at what we did wrong in the first half because I promise you if you're down 6 to zero against Michigan in the first half you're not going to come out and drop 51 points on their defense eventually you're going to have to rely on physicality and killing the clock and taking their offense off the field and getting their defense tired you know what I mean cuz their offense is going to do what they're going to do their offense is like yeah please throw three three screens and Slants and uh passes out to the flats please keep doing that and then your offense will be off the field in 30 seconds you'll be putting it to us and we're going to take 7 minutes off the clock running it down your throat do you see that you have to have a balance offensively and we do not we don't I don't care what anybody says the stats lie to you if you watch it with your eyes objectively and the best way I do it is I look at the worst case scenario if we keep doing what we're doing where are we going to end up and what I witnessed was we have no run presence we have two home run hitters and our offensive line can't create holes for them this year which is insane cuz last year we blocked a little bit better on the run and we weren't great but I think it's because we were so pass heavy they weren't used to blocking for the run and creating holes but they created more holes last year granted it's the first game it could happen over time if we developed but what I saw was no holes for the running game and then they also couldn't pass for the blocking game so so we have no choice but to throw screens and Slants which we struggled the entire first half against akan it's Akon's defense able to slow us down offensively we're when we go to play a good team we go to Eugene in just a couple of weeks October 12th we go to Eugene you think we're going to beat them granted the Ducks didn't look great either but I don't think see has beating them I don't unless we figure it out this week which I have us kind of figuring out and here's how much I'm going to disrespect my Buckeyes cuz they are my team remember I'm not a hater it's my team I have Ohio State winning 38 to4 now I Ohio State fans are like you're crazy prove it because I don't think Western Michigan's that bad I think they have a great offensive scheme kind of like ours but they're not stupid and if akan can keep drives alive Western Michigan sure goddamn can I really think so I like wolf at quarterback I think he's a great quarterback for Western Michigan and I wasn't impressed if you want to prove me wrong I will come up here next week and say how wrong I was if we win 56 to nothing I'll come on here and say I was so wrong thank you for proving me wrong Ryan day you're my dad but I don't see it happening because I feel like I'm the only objective Ohio State fan out there that sees glaring problems when we go to play the bigger teams later on the season that nobody else wants to address because it's akan Oh yay we won 51 to6 see it's not that bad we struggled we started off slow but we the entire first half was [ __ ] slow and it's akan dude it'd be different if it was 56 to or 51-6 in the whole game we kind of had control over it it'd be different we didn't we didn't have control over the entire first half against akan at all and it's akan you're going to play teams with more talent that are way better than akan that are going to be able to stay in a game and not just let 51 points slide up their [ __ ] so we got to figure it out cuz right now I'm scared as a Buck Eye fan and you should be too that does it for
