hey what's going on everyone this is R views back with another video and today is the big day for Apple today apple is introducing their new devices the iPhone 16 series starting with a 16 16 plus and of course the pro versions 16 Pro and the 16 Pro Max but today apple is also expected to release the RC version of iOS 18 and in this video I will show you guys everything you need to know about this update now first of all the update will be released today so it's Monday September the 9th now as you probably know and as you can see right here at 10 a.m. Pacific time we will have the new event for the new iPhones and once the event is over probably a few minutes to maybe an hour we should get the RC update for iOS 18 that's the time when you can expect this update to hit your devices if you're already on iOS 18 beta now for the public release we will have to wait another week so I would expect Apple to actually release iOS 18 to the public next week September 16th again at around 10:00 a.m. Pacific time that's the usual time when Apple releases new softwares and that should be the case this year as well with iOS 18 so now let's talk a bit about the RC version of iOS 18 now first of all when it comes to new features and changes you probably know about all all the cool new features and changes that Apple has added to iOS 18 but don't expect any new features and changes with the RC version now apple is probably done with iOS 18 since beta 7 they have released a few different changes minor changes actually in features with beta 8 and now this is just like a polished version there might be any like fixes and of course polishment here and there but don't expect anything major with the RC version of iOS 18 now when it comes to updating there will be a few different scenarios here now first of all if you're on iOS 18 beta any of the betas probably are on beta 8 then you will have two choices you either go to the software update section and update to the RC version once it gets released or what you can do here if you just don't want to update to the RC version you want to wait for the public version of iOS 18 A lot of people actually want to do that even though those will be the exact same software updates because this is just the public release that is being released a week earlier to the devs but if you just want to do that then before Apple releases the RC version or before you see it right here and tap install all you have to do is go to the beta updates and turn them off right here and then when you go back and refresh you won't get an update here but you will get an update once iOS 18 is released to the public a week from now and then of course if you update to the RC version today once it gets released then you won't get a public release of iOS 18 because you already have that update on your device so it's basically the exact same update now from then on when you have the RC version you won't be getting any other updates unless you switch here from beta basically if you just want to continue with betas the other betas of iOS 18 that Apple should release in the next weeks then you can go ahead and again basically stay here on the beta program or if you just want to continue with the regular releases of iOS 18 and no longer install the betas then make sure to turn them off right here after you have updated your device to the public version or to the RC version of iOS 18 as far as iOS 18.1 goes if you're one of those people that have an iPhone 15 Pro or the 15 Pro Max you have updated to the 18.1 update then of course you won't be getting an RC version or you won't be getting also the public release of iOS 18 because you're already on 18.1 and you will have to wait for October to actually get the public release of iOS 18 in the meantime of course you will get the new betas for iOS 18.1 so should you update or not to the RC version of iOS 18 well if you're already on the betas of iOS 18 of course you should there is no need for you to wait for another week to update to the final version of iOS 18 because again that will be the exact same version as the one that gets released to the public RC version public version basically the same thing so yes when Apple releases the RC version go ahead and update your device so that's basically for this video guys hope you guys enjoyed the video if you just want to see everything new with iOS 18 all the cool videos and all that make sure to subscribe leave a like if you enjoyed this one I'll see you on the next next video
