Happening today. The Harris Walls campaign's fighting for reproductive freedom. Bus tour is making a stop in Jacksonville. The tour kicked off in Palm Beach and today's event will feature State Senator Tracy Davis. Their tour will bring attention to Florida's current abortion law which prohibits services to patients who are last six weeks pregnant for one independent clinic. A woman's choice in Jacksonville says the law slashed their patient count by two thirds. The clinic says their patients have to travel outside of Florida to get an abortion. However, supporters of the six week ban say that's a sign. The law is working that we have a wasteland for women that is causing them to travel hundreds if not thousands of miles for care. The danger in that is that six weeks is when most people find out they might be pregnant. The numbers belie the fact that the abortion industry claims that most women don't know they're pregnant. By the time six weeks gestation comes along because they're still performing abortions. The upcoming election on November 5th, the voters will be asked to choose to protect access to abortion on Amendment four. The bus tour comes after former President Donald Trump recently said he would uphold that ban.
