Intro Paige spiranac had an unbelievable beef with another golf player called Haley ostram the drama began last year when these two golf influencers argued on Twitter over Tiger Woods it started with a disagreement about a comment page made about Tiger's performance Haley took it personally and responded with a fiery Tweet now some people were entertained While others were confused by the sudden Clash opinions flew left and right despite their own different talent in golf this Feud showed their passionate and competitive sides whether you follow golf or not the drama between Paige and Haley was hard to ignore who is Haley Ostrom now you may know about Paige but before we get into her controversy so let me first introduce you to Haley Ray Ostrom people asking how I got into golf and when touch to her professional achievements Haley Ray Ostrom has been The Controversy playing golf since she was nine she joined the central Oregon Junior Golf Association to start her journey introduced to the game by her father Haley took her game seriously during her Junior season and now here is she the controversy and now let's talk about the main part the controversy it all started with Amanda Rose's tweet where she praised Tiger Woods she called him the old ultimate dad in her tweet she said Tiger's Legacy as a father might be greater than his golf career Tiger Woods might be the ultimate girl dad even greater than his golf Legacy may be the father he is very cool to hear his daughter will introduce him at his world golf H induction ceremony ostram replied to Amanda's tweet she had a different opinion ostram felt that being a great dad means setting a high example she mentioned Tiger's cheating scandal from 2009 austram believes a Dad should be a role model for the kind of man their daughter deserves she thinks tiger does not meet this standard her own dad set a very high bar for her Amanda didn't stay quiet she responded to ostrom's comment Amanda pointed out something from ostrom's profile sex is cool and all isn't that the pinned tweet on you are profile I've never seen before I have a bit higher expectations for someone who is being so judgy for now you might agree with Amanda you might feel like Tiger's dedication to his kids is admirable and I also think that past mistakes should be considered PA's entry but let's put our opinions on side and see what's next Paige spirac has to say Paige spirac jumped into an argument to defend Tiger Woods she responded to Amanda's tweet by revealing that she had blocked ostram and her father once Paige said that ostrom's Dad had criticized her he said she was a bad role model and put her down for how she built her business this is what she said in detail her dad said I was a bad role model and put me down for how I built my business I've had them both blocked for things that they have said about me it's easy to pass judgment but it shows shows Great Character to learn from mistakes calling someone you don't know a bad parent is low Ostrom had an answer for Paige she said it is easier to play the victim and to say she and her dad were mean ostram thinks they only had a simple difference of opinion regarding feminism she said this was laughable ostr mentioned that Paige blocked her after a private conversation in direct messages she claimed she never called Paige a name or put her down Paige did not stop there she said no victim don't deal with fake your dad sent me a DM on IG this has nothing to do with the convers ation we had but the comments you have made behind my back you told Amanda women shouldn't put other women down but you seem to have a lot to say about me to other people in my thoughts Paige's defense of Tiger Woods and her response to Ostrum show how deeply personal criticisms can hurt blocking someone for repeated negative comments seems Justified but ostrom's reply might Overlook the impact of their words now Ostrom later apologized for offending Paige speac and called for a truce Ostrum wanted to clear up a misunderstanding from a direct mage message she sent saying I would love to see this DM I know that I sent you a DM because you thought a comment I made on someone's post was about you so I sent you a DM to let you know hey it wasn't about you no hard feelings sorry if it came off that way ostram also mentioned that this incident happened back in 2018 or 2019 at the end of the day this is something that happened in 201819 I know you were offended by a comment I made regardless if it were about you or not I genuinely apologize for offending you we have the same overall goal in this Sport and that is to grow the game but now spiranac has made five predictions for 2023 one of them was about the Masters she believes Rory mooy will win the Masters this year she feels he is ready for the test and will wear the green jacket on April 10th he is ready for the test and I think that Rory is going to win The Masters this year so it is good Life After Golf to see ostram apologize and seek a truce and this is a true example of how misunderstandings can happen easily on social media getting Cyber Bullied now apart from the controversy Paige has also faced so cyber bullying which by the way was very brutal but before looking into that let's take a look at her life first Paige Panic to the show Paige I had no idea obviously I know who you are you're a mega influencer super successful love having you on the show why is the internet obsessed with literally everything you do I have no idea but I'm really happy that this happened so we can get together and play some golf yeah I didn't like really mean it when I said that because I am such like I'm such an we've had Jordan spe on the show we've you know i' ju I'm just not a golf gal I need you to get me into it and but part of me thinks like maybe putt putt some sort of windmill situation I'm hitting it into a clown's mouth and then we take some tequila shots does that sound good to you Paige Paige is often described as golf's top social media influencer as of July 2024 she has a massive following of 4 million on Instagram and 424,000 subscribers on YouTube in July 2023 she launched a subscription based website called only page this site offers golf instructional videos live streams and Vlogs it's interesting how she turned her passion into a business the LPGA Tour released a new dress code policy for players here's a list of the articles of clothing that will no longer be allowed plunging necklines skirts skirs or shorts that do not not sufficiently cover a player's quote bottom area racer back tops without a mock or regular collar joggers and leggings unless they are worn under a scor or shorts back in July 2017 the LPGA Tour introduced a stricter dress code this meant no more plunging necklines leggings or short skirts which led to immediate backlash many felt it was unfair including Paige who voiced her concerns in a Fortune Magazine oped but she didn't shy away from expressing her opinion this boldness is something to admire even if you don't follow her that much in February 2020 she started a podcast called playing around with Paige Renee where she shares more about her life and thoughts on golf I mean literally like Golf Digest I'm like what are we doing like this people want us to golf together and I'm so down for it but um you know I was reading there you know there's there's some people that say that you're you sexualize the sport there's like an old guard that doesn't love it and in actuality it sounds like from what I've learned that your message is really about inclusivity about body positivity about anti-bullying and having women sort of feel comfortable being themselves Paige spiranac has faced cyber bullying especially for her style in women's golf she shared her experience in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue she wanted to use that platform to speak out about cyber bullying and promote self-love cyberbullying often involves fake rumors Cyberbullying sexual remarks or threats meant to harm someone many young girls are targeted by this now if you want to see numbers than in the US 59% of female teens have faced online bullying or harassment this issue is serious as suicide rates among teens have doubled since 2008 PA's story of being bullied started when she was young she had a medical condition that stopped her hair from growing which made her a Target at school kids threw rocks at her and teased her for looking different this experience made her childhood very tough even when she entered the Dubai ladies Masters at age 22 she got in on a sponsor's exemption but the golf media criticized her for sexualizing women's golf people even questioned if she deserved her spot at that time Paige felt alone and scared and she cried in her hotel room she also received many hateful comments on Instagram Facebook and Twitter daily it must have been a tough time for her because she has to deal with so much negativity but finally after some time she responded back Paige became an ambassador for cyber smile in March 2017 she wanted to help other teens who were facing similar issues um right after I took about 3 weeks off of just not looking at anything but when you just see the comments that people say they're extremely cruel um they attack not only uh not only me but my parents my family my friends and you know they say I'm a disgrace to golf and you know no one sees that you know and um it it's just it's really hard and I still get those comments and I still deal with Paige told bullied teens that they are not alone and that being a victim of cyber bullying is not their fault and now for the last few minutes let's take a break from golf and switch to her views on some recent politics and you know that's a little bit old that chart that chart's a couple of months old and if you want to really see something that said take a look at what happened [Applause] down we doing we doing earlier than Politics month there was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump this event has stirred emotions and conversations across the country she believes that it's a time for the country to come together from her side it's sad that violence is happening and it shouldn't be a way to handle differences she hopes that this situation can lead to meaningful conversations Paige suggests that even if people have different opinions they can still talk to each other respectfully the message she wrote is clear as Sunday Sky respect and communication are key p H spiranac Echo Sports World with message of unity after Trump assassination attempt bryen Deo others say there's no place for violence in world the attempted assassination of former president Trump left an indelible mark on all Americans this month spirac believes that the current atmosphere has become too hostile she points out that people often forget that everyone has different backgrounds and experiences these differences shape our perspectives and she feels we can learn a lot from each other this is what she said I think it's gone to a place where it's been so hostile that we forget that we all have different upbringings and come from different backgrounds and there are different experiences in our lives that have shaped us and we can learn so much from another that it just Stakes time patience and respect and I am hopeful that everyone can move forward doesn't matter what side you're on that we can all agree that was not okay later Paige also expressed her sympathy for those affected by the incident offering prayers and condolences she describes the situation is sad and hopes that it can be a catalyst for change it was such a sad situation and I really hope that we can just respect each other have calm conversations learn from another and maybe that's too out there to hope for but I really hope that's kind of where we can progress forward to because I just think we can learn so much from one another and learn from where the differences that we do have and we can come together now it's interesting to see spiritx speaking out on such a serious issue she uses her platform to encourage people to think beyond their immediate reactions and consider the larger picture ostrom's downfall but you know ostrom's career toll now is quite the opposite and low as compared to Paige Ostrum has always kept her content engaging in her latest Tik Tok she shared a personal story about her relationship with golf my dad is who got me into the game he taught me golf at a really young age he taught me the short game first taught me how to putt how to chip eent eventually let me start hitting full swing shots he made the game fun made me want to go out and play and I was kind of naturally better at golf than the other sports so it was easy for me to want to go play she began by telling how she started playing golf at Age 2 she loved spending time with her father on the course at the age nine she entered a local tournament with the central Oregon Junior Golf Association she continued playing through her teenage years during college at George Fox University ostram led her team to the Nationals in her senior year she also received all American honors which if you don't know is a big achievement after graduation she moved to Arizona to pursue professional golf this is what she said I decided to move to Arizona I moved to Arizona after I graduated to pursue professional golf I just kind of figured it out and it was the best decision I ever made what do you think about their Feud do you think they will ever reconcile comment down your answers without hesitation and in the end make sure to give this video a like and also subscribe to the channel for more such
