it is August 30th and ladies and gentlemen we have a rivalry game in the WNBA between Angel Reese in the Chicago sky and Caitlyn Clark in the Indiana Fever these two have played each other eight times already before this game and it has always been a fun one Clark and Reese played five times in their college careers Angel Reese playing for the LSU Tigers was able to beat Clark and her Iowa hawkey four out of those five times but the WNBA has been a different story this is the fourth time that these two have faced off so far in the WNBA and Clark has been able to get the edge in this regard winning two out of their three games additionally to see these two face off Shaquille O'Neal found his way Courtside to support his fellow LSU Tiger Angel Reese but without further Ado let's get into this game the game started off with a fever bucket when Aaliyah Boston was able to get a bounce pass to a backdoor cutting Kelsey Mitchell and it was looking good for the already hot fever the sky were able to bounce back to tie up the game on their side of the Court when Lindsay Allen was able to make her way around the sky defense to get a layup to fall but then Clark showed off why she is as much of a playmaker as she is a scorer finding Nelissa Smith in the paint for an easy two points but then the guy were able to take the lead with the Michaela Onan W bucket but they were not able to hold said lead for long at all because as it normally happens Clark got going from three-point land she was able to with the help of her te teammate get herself open enough from long distance to nail the three-point shot this was a very exciting and very nice thing for the fever because as many know if Clark can get going early she can be troubl throughout the rest of the game but the sky were still answering back as Lindsay Allen was able to get herself going from three-point land she was able to hit two in a row to put her team up by four but she was able to then go down and get another bucket and the sky were rolling on their home court a couple of possessions later rookie star Angel Reese was also able to get herself going she was able to bully her defender in the paint to get herself open catching the ball and putting it in the basket for an easy two points the fever were quickly down 10 after what looked like a promising start to the half but they had some fight left in them after the two teams traded a couple buckets Kelsey Mitchell was able to find herself in the corner to nail a shot coming off of a pass from aah Boston then Lexi Hull got into the action to receive a dribble handoff from Malia Aon on the wing to leave her open enough to drain a three then as the fever continued to catch up Caitlyn Clark was able to lead a fast break and thread the needle of the court to tie the game up and show off her insane and Limitless range once again and on the very next possession she was able to catch the ball from demiris dtis and use her as a screen to get herself enough room to shoot another three-pointer and of course she drained it to put the fever up for the first time in a while Dana Evans from the sky was able to slice through the fever defense to get her team going for the first time in the quarter but there was no slowing down after tamy fendle made a huge block on the defensive end of the ball because Caitlyn Clark was able to get the ball and immediately whip a crosscourt past to her teammate Erica wheeler for the bucket Michaela Onan was able to find some success in the paint for her team but the fever kept on matching her buckets like Kelsey Mitchell who was able to get another three-pointer to go to Hype up her bench and Kelsey Mitchell once again getting a three-pointer to fall from the wing to bring a game that was once dominated by the sky to a game dominated by the fever now up 4333 Rachel banam was then able to get a much needed shot to fall for the Chicago sky but they were going to need some more than just that Caitlyn Clark and Angel ree were able to go in butt heads once again to trade buckets to end the half but when the clock hit zero in the second quarter the fever found themselves with a 47 to 42 lead however to end the half Aaliyah Boston was given a technical foul as teams entered the locker room so the third quarter Started With An Angel Reese technical free throw Kelsey Mitchell was able to make the first field goal of the half when she knocked down a mid-range jumper then Lexi ho was able to force a turnover which turned into another Caitlyn Clark three-pointer Rachel banam was was able to start off the scoring for this guy with a three-pointer but on the other side of the ball there was chaos Michaela Onan failed to give Caitlyn Clark her space to land when she shot a three-pointer and she was awarded a flagrant foul meaning that Caitlyn Clark would get her three free throws for the shooting foul but that The Fever would get the ball back as well Onan wed was able to somewhat make up for it hitting a three-pointer on the other side of the court but the flagrant foul still really hurt them but then although the fever were getting plent of help Nelissa Smith decided to take over for a couple of possessions as well first she was able to get a driving layup to go then she was able to finish in a very strong manner to get an N1 to go down after the two teams traded some free throws for a couple of minutes Nelissa Smith was able to get into it even more as she hit a three-pointer from the wing the sky needed some help but Diamond the shields was still playing well getting shots to go like this tough one right here where she was able to use a fast break to get a foul and a shot to go the fever were just rolling on all cylinders able to find deir dtis for an easy two and to finish off the quarter deir dtis let a three fly and fall the fever had grown their lead to 14 points after this excellent third quarter and it was going to be tough for this guy to come back especially as some of their key pieces struggled to get going like Reese for example and they continued to push as they found Kelsey Mitchell to start off the quarter getting off to another good quarter start then Leah Boston and Lexi hle were able to score back-to-back buckets to lead their team to an even greater lead Rachel bandam was able to get a to fall for the sky but even that was quickly followed by a fever bucket as Lexi hle decided to rain down another three on the sky then Caitlyn Clark was able to get another three-pointed fly and Michaela Onan got a technical foul giving Clark Four Points in quick succession but on a fast break where Diamond the shields lost the ball Clark was sh over and forc a flagrant foul to give Caitlyn Clark two free throws Angel Reese was able to get a few words off before the game was over scoring five quick points to secure a double double in the game but it was too little too late as the fever ended up winning the game easily to secure the season series win over the sky 3 to1 by a score of to 81 now for a quick game breakdown Caitlyn Clark had 31 points as well as 12 assists for a rookie of the year level performance to help her case for the Rookie of the Year Angel Rees had an all right game with a double double off of 10 points and 11 rebounds showing off her dominance in the paint with this game the fever were also able to
