Aston Villa Away Day: Football Hooligans Cause Chaos in Birmingham

hype was quite rightly about the Birmingham city Zulus a fearsome Fearless firm that boasted huge numbers and they were turning over a lot of firms both home and away but I was to learn that the Aston Villa hardcore was just as naughty so the briefing was the week before we all met up in the pub before our home game and went over the plan and got an idea of numbers we would be taking times meeting places and travel the amount of faces that confirmed they were going was a slight disappointment not as many we would have hoped but on the flip side all the main Lads said that they would be there I always try and be honest in my videos not many firms admit they have been turned over by other firms some exaggerate about how many numbers they have in their firm I have stayed Anonymous and never name people or places in my videos that allows me to be 100% truthful about events so yeah we wouldn't be taking large numbers to Villa we were never a huge firm anyway in terms of numbers compared to the likes of the Soul crew Man City Governors or Birmingham Zulus for example to name a few but what we did did have was a core group of around 20 top Lads that are proper hardcore old school Lads that were very naughty very tough and would stand their ground and fight even if they were massively outnumbered some firms have massive numbers but 90% of them have never thrown a punch in their life never had a proper R and not part of the core group just there to inflate the firm's numbers they won't be anywhere near the main action when it kicks off and happy to hide behind the police escort [Music] nowadays a lot of firms have hangers on that are just glorified shirts that think they are part of it throwing bottles shouting in the pub but always in close proximity thinking they are part of the core group a lot of the time it's these people that get nicked because they are not Street Smart in terms of being a casual anyway back to the pub yeah I was disappointed but at least we wouldn't have any liabilities coming with us nobody to babysit or worry about them getting nicked the pub our headquarters was a great place to plan things the landlord was old school and naughty a few times he had even deleted CCTV footage for us the evidence caught on camera could have led to prison sentences especially at the time because the police and government made a big push to stop football hooliganism and definitely in this day and age that camera footage would mean a stretch inside for some of us so the landlord was a bit of a legend he even let us use the private room in the back to all meet up but the old Bill was starting to get on top of him now if there is a big Derby game or a high-risk game as they call it the old bill will just close the pub but that didn't happen back in the day it's only been the last decade or so that old bill have closed pubs on Match days and bought kickoff times forward so they are earlier they think that reduces the chance of people getting pissed up and fighting and gives us less time for pre-arranged fights the day had come everyone to meet at 9:00 at the train station I just hope we wouldn't have any no shows we were already short on numbers so people letting us down at the last minute would be not great I was still the youngest member and didn't have my driving license yet so I got the bus to the train station I had a brand new stone Island bubble jacket that I couldn't wait to show off it was bright green and cost me a week's wages but it was worth it I felt great wearing it I loved that jacket I got to the train station and everyone was there waiting cans of beer in plastic bags I could feel everyone looking at my jacket I was waiting for the comments to my amazement The Lads didn't seem happy not sure why one of the main Lads pulled me up and went berserk at me it was my coat he was saying that it was too bright and that I would stand stand out like a sore thumb it would draw attention to me I could also get spotted in the away stand it was that bright then I could easily get picked out by Villa after the game outside the ground honestly none of that occurred to me when I bought the jacket at first I was thinking was it a bit of jealousy but no the lad was right I was making myself a Target I ended up selling that jacket in the pub for half the price after a few months a young wannabe bought it off me the journey to Birmingham was just over an hour not sure why the lads had opted to get a train and not our usual away Coach but the plan was to get the train to New Street Station have a few drinks in broom then get the train to Aston which I was told would only be a 10-minute Journey from New Street Station seven of us would be in Birmingham overnight we had booked into a hotel in the city center so that we could go clubbing late after the game I always loved staying overnight especially if we were traveling to big cities with decent night life the only drawback was at the time I was into Raves and taking half an e getting off my face but the older main Lads liked the over 25s nightclubs that played different music entirely and I was always worried it would kick off in a club and I'd be on E and just wanted to kiss and love Everyone therefore I would be a liability but there was kind of like an Unwritten rule if everyone was in a nightclub after the game and there was no sign of trouble everyone having a good time some of us was with birds or grafting then carry on Just Do Your Own Thing and make your own way back to the hotel at that point I was either in the toilet taking half a pill with the outline of a Superman symbol a dove a smiley face or the peace sign on it or I was on the Dance Floor grafting a bird sometimes both sometimes a few of the older Lads would take an e too the train was packed lots of shirts on there also making their journey to Birmingham one thing that always got on my nerves traveling on trains away was that drunken shirts would always sing stupid songs loudly to innocent families on the train a lot of the time it was to women they would all pick someone out and sing for them to give them a wave and if the civilian didn't give them a wave which most of the time they wouldn't because they didn't have a clue what was going on then the shirts would all boo it really annoyed me I've seen shirts get smacked by senior Lads a few times over stuff like that I preferred traveling on the coach with like-minded Lads the good thing about getting the train was we never paid we wasn't from London where it was all electronic turn Styles and lots of old bill we were just from a small town with a small train station so it was easy to get on without paying for a ticket plus there was always hundreds of shirts on the train too so they couldn't check everyone's tickets or Nick people you just had to be careful and mindful of the British transport police or spotters especially if you were traveling to a big city we were almost there forget the British transport police I was more worried about bumping into the Zulus at New Street station Birmingham city were playing away that day but I know the Zulus like to Ambush firms at the train station the wolv subway Army were on my mind too I wasn't scared or bothered even though they were also a decent firm I was more curious as to whether we would pass through wolver Hampton before we got to Birmingham was it the stop before we got off the train I know wolves was close to Birmingham I just didn't know the geographical outlay when I was younger and didn't know anything I thought wolver Hampton was actually in Birmingham and that wolves fans were brummies it wasn't until I was older and started traveling the UK that I understood they were completely different cities in fact it's a massive insult if you call anyone from wolver Hampton or West Brom a brummy they hate it they will tell you they are from the Black Country which isn't actually a place or County it's all confusing I'm still trying to work out what a yam yam is if anyone knows can they let me know in the comment section please we had arrived old Bill were everywhere at the station a couple of British transport police was with them randomly checking people's tickets we avoided all that and got out of the train station but the old Bill knew we had arrived all the lads made their way to a pub in the city center a few of us branched off to find our hotel to check in and drop our things off our hotel was decent we then met up with the rest of the crew in the pub beers and banter was flowing everyone in great spirits we had it on good authority that the Villa hardcore were waiting for us in Aston so it was game on we just had to try and avoid a police escort because there was a riot van and lots of plods outside the pub so we decided to leave at different times in groups of threes and fours the meeting point was a pub called the Wht arms some of our Lads was already in there so I made my way back to the train station and got the train to Aston there was no Villa or Zulus in Birmingham city center at that time so it was just us lot and trouble-free but I could sense something big was brewing and would be waiting for us in Aston like I said earlier The Villa hardore had a reputation and had big numbers I suppose they had to if they came up against their fierce Rivals the Zulus all the time imagine those two firms going to battle in Birmingham every week must be a nightmare for the old bill got off the train the wit and arms was just around the corner so was Villa Park the vibe in the wit and arms was good to be fair it's a great Pub a massive place with good food music blasting out our shirts dancing on the table singing the usual songs about away fans what surprised me though was that that it was also full of villa but in a different room the only thing that was separating us was a door that was being guarded by a bouncer to enter the pub we had to use a different entrance from the home fans it was getting rowdy and Lively in the pub the police swarming everywhere outside and lots of Riot Vans there would be absolutely no chance of having the rail with the Villa hardcore as soon as we set foot outside the pub the old bill will just escort us to the ground so again we decided to leave in twos and threes at different times eventually we all got away and met up at what looked like some industrial estate or something just around the corner from the pub there was about 25 proper Lads in total out of nowhere Villa hardcore ran around the corner and just steamed into US Jesus there must have been about 70 of them what I do remember clearly is it was the first time I had ever seen black lads in a firm I had heard all about the Zulus I knew they had lots of black lads but I had come up against them yet that lovely experience would happen in the not too distant future this was the first time I had seen black lads in a firm and there was about four or five of them anyway yeah they steamed into us they were handy and knew what they were doing they also ambushed us and didn't know they were around the corner and would pile into us without warning we were heavily outnumbered but we stood our ground our main lad is a monster and he l laid one of their boys out then someone grabbed him around the neck from behind and they wrestled I got punched in the back of my head hard as I turned to face him I got smacked in the jaw then someone flew in with a kick we were all taking hits all over the place all of us just swinging our arms and hoping to land one of our Lads got knocked out and looked in a bad way but we were out numbered we didn't have the luxury of attending to him or nursing him we were all taking clumps but none of us ran we stood our ground and took the loss we all heard sirens then a few police jumped in with their Batton to be fair they didn't want to Nick anyone they just wanted to hit us as hard as they could then send us on our way one of the plods looked at me got out his Kos and smacked me across the legs then pushed me away and asked me if I wanted more listen it was a loss they done us and like I said I will always always be totally honest fair play to Villa but I hope they are honest too and admit we stood our ground and a couple of their Lads got laid out also nothing worse than a young Jack the Lad copper that enjoys the power and is a bit of a bully they will attack you with a Kos and you have to take it if you fight back you will get nicked but I will go into that in detail in another video we were rounded up and walked to Villa Park I was hoping my jaw wasn't too bad bad or had any cuts and bruises on my face because I still very much wanted to go clubbing later on Villa Park itself was quality it's massive that was my first time there I couldn't believe the halt end I loved football so I just looked at it in awe and thought fair play the only drawback was in the ground there was Villa fans on the tier above us and most of the game it was just banter between us and them they were throwing things down at us and laughing I did stand stand out like a sore thumb with my bright green stone Island jacket and would be easily picked out by any of those fans in the tier above us or any of the hardcore that we had just battled it out with it all made perfect sense to me now what our lad was saying to me at the train station I get it and wouldn't repeat that [Music] mistake lesson learned at the final whistle we made our way out the ground and to the train station it was kicking off down one of the streets I think our shirts were getting smacked all over the place by them we tried to run down the street but the police were quickly on us I got clumped Again by one of the old bill then we were confronted by a copper on a horse so we just walked away and guided to the train station on the stairs leading up to the platform we were rounded up and told by the police to get on the train we didn't know what train we had to get where the train was going we were just bundled onto the train Carriage by the old Bill thankfully the train was going back into Birmingham New Street The Lads was buzzing about the row earlier with the hardcore even though we had come unstuck you still get a massive Adrenaline Rush our guy that got knocked out was okay not great but okay I remember thinking his Ms is going to kill him when he gets home and she sees his bloody bruised swollen face and ripped clothes thank you for taking the time to watch my video if
