well with only 64 days in a campaign candidates are usually campaigning very hard but not Donald Trump the laziest presidential campaigner in modern history yesterday there were only 64 campaign days left but Donald Trump did nothing and his running mate James Dave Advance did nothing of course campaigning on Labor Day isn't easy for republicans candidates like Donald Trump and JD Vance who are so anti- labor because they can't say things like this on Labor Day everywhere I go I tell people look you may not be a union member you better thank a union member for the five day work week you better thank a union member for sick leave you better thank a union member for paid leave you better thank a union member for vacation time [Applause] because what we know is when union wages go up everybody's wages go up when Union workplaces are safer every workplace is safer when unions are strong America is is strong that was vice president K Harris campaigning yesterday on Labor Day in Detroit before heading to Pennsylvania to deliver her pro- labor message to a Pittsburgh Labor Day audience where she was joined by President Joe Biden the president and vice president's Labor Day began it just occurred to me um when Lawrence calls Trump or former Don shitzy pansy uh the laziest candidate ever who's running his campaign just to take it back to the first thing I said and I'll shut up and let you answer but surely not this clown if Churchill is a hero how come there are British girls begging for drugs on the street of London and the place is you know it's just they're London is not majority English now like what uh what yeah I think he is run tr's campaign you JD Vance he let you choose that embarrassment costing you money and if you didn't win he's just fine he goes back to working for Caro for Mitch McConnell or the rest of the establishment GOP who hate you because you're paying Ro's guy McConnell's guy and he doesn't believe in you at all is Tucker Carson his kind of secret I want to say secret but the person in the background whoever heard you get indicted for interfering with with a presidential election where you have every right to do it you get indicted and your poll numbers go up when people get in dated your poll numbers go down because if you listen to a lot of the garbage that Carson comes out with it mirrors a lot of the garbage that uh Trump comes out with like mentioning Victor Orban and yeah it would appear to at one stage Donald GF was the person saying that President Biden was invisible uh wow I think Taka has told Trump uh to be invisible because his campaigning has been literally between zero and zero uh and at the same time it's a question which I would love just one person somewhere to ask where the hell is melenia Trump is she rehears if there some type of golden Bachelorette or golden Bachelor something going on she's going to do a reality show she's definitely not having any intention of want to be first lady without a doubt she would want uh CA Harris to be president you can tell now she has no interest at all in Donald Trump whatever he's campaigning for oh president wow really somebody doorstep her ask her she's a former first lady do a lie detective at the same time do you want camela Harris or the other guy and somebody really should ask taker Carson why is he running the campaign for Mr invisible manager for the Harris walls campaign thank you very much for joining us again uh now I have told the audience of this program for most of the last year that they can ignore polls wait till we get to August and especially wait until we get to after Labor Day to begin to look at the polls because that's when they begin to reflect a voting reality uh I'm looking at these uh swing state polls these recent swing state polls and uh your candidate vice president Harris is ahead of Donald Trump in pretty much all of the Swing States or tied according to one of these polls in Arizona uh what do you expect to see in terms of any more movement in the polls is this pretty much the way it's going to go from here to the Finish Line with the polls well first of all thank you for having me Lawrence it's always a pleasure to be with you look what I would say as the polls is that we're going to run through the tape look this is going to be an extremely close election and we Remain the underdogs in this race uh regardless of how it feels out there and the best course of action for our campaign uh is continue to do everything that we have been doing campaigning actually and being out speaking and communicating to voters about the issues that matter most look fundamentally this election is about who is looking out for you the vice president has a vision for the future of this country and Donald Trump wants to take us back we're going to continue to campaign and making sure we're putting in the work to speak to every single voter across this country both Democrats and Republicans uh because we have a story to tell we have a vision under the vice president's leadership uh and so we're not focused on the polls and what the polls are saying we're going to continue to campaign for the next 63 days here and make sure that we win this thing in November no one in American politics knows more about winning swing States than you do you helped uh Senator waro win how many elections in Georgia was a handful uh and and obviously you can uh move those skills to other states but uh as as you look at this swing state map uh does it look the way let's say the Georgia uh electorate looked to you as you were approaching those elections in Georgia for Senator warau yeah look it does look I think every single one of these states um you know we treat as individuals although we know that the goal is to get to 270 electoral votes uh but our campaign has made sure that we have invested in every single one of these states and built campaign apparatuses uh that can communicate to voters in every single one of these states we know that this is going to be won and lost on the ground in the states uh and so what I'm most proud of is that when we're traveling across this country we're going outside of the the major Metro areas urban areas uh where people expect Democrats to be and communicating with voters uh in smaller markets like Savannah and so we're doing that across the country in places like Arizona and Nevada Michigan Pennsylvania because we have to communicate with all voters and so in races this tight with the margins this thin uh that is the type of strategy that you have to do you also have to communicate on the issues I'm very proud um of the type of attention that our campaign pays to the States on an individual level uh to make sure that we're talking to voters about the things that they're feeling and seeing in their everyday lives uh that are going to ultimately matter to them as they head to the polls to make this decision about who's going to be elected the next president of the United States well uh Donald Trump and JD Vance gave away Labor Day uh yesterday they just gave it to you they stayed home uh to do nothing uh that seemed to open up the day for your campaign uh on a very strong economic emphasis and in particular infrastructure emphasis what the uh Biden Harris Administration has achieved there and what that means for jobs uh is that is that the way that that argument is going to be made for the rest of this campaign look we can't control what Donald Trump or JD Vance ultimately decide to do but the reason that they're not campaigning on days like Labor Day is because they don't have anything to say to American workers because under Donald Trump uh he left this country with fewer jobs uh than when he came into office under vice president Harris's leadership uh she and President Biden created uh nearly 16 million jobs the vice president cast the deciding vote that saved hundreds of thousands of pension doubled investment uh into thousands of infrastructure projects that created jobs across this country and now as she is running for president of the United States she's rolled out economic policies that would do things like lower costs and stop corporations uh particularly uh Food suppliers from gouging prices simply because they can uh in extreme circumstances she's also making sure that she's capping the cost of prescription drugs and on top of that building more affordable housing units in this country uh to make sure that rent and mortgages are cheaper for Americans that is where her focus is and she's made it clear that the middle class workers and small business are going to be the priority of her Administration uh you are one of the people who who managed the transition from the Biden for president campaign to the Harris for president campaign and I must say Managed IT so successfully and smoothly what was it like for you personally uh to see Joe Biden uh up there on the campaign stage in if you're of the opinion where you thinking maybe some of this JD van stuff is a little bit uh farfetch exaggerated taken out of context stop right there okay I'm going to share with you a clip which was on Newsmax yeah I think we can all agree that Newsmax makes fox look like it's some extreme uh communist socialist setup okay even they were taken back what JD Vance says is horrific this is somebody who'd like to be Vice President of America this isn't a joke J it's not a meme it's not like own in the lips this is horrendous I mean I'm just amazed it's taking us until now to discover it please watch this is the sort of thing I would urge you to share in your family group you might have people who you know are big Fox News and Trump supporters and they're not seeing things that JD van being bold enough to say things that I think a lot of people on the right believe but are too scared to say because they're scared of the blowback and you clearly are not I think it's one of the reasons that you are going to make an excellent senator someday but I want to ask you about these credentialed Elites you know there are a lot of people who are really important the ruling class in our society and I don't mean just politics politics is an important part of it but I mean politics media uh business Academia we we have a lot of credentials Elite Elites who tend to live in coastal cities they live in Trendy neighborhoods they are childless they don't encounter families very much and yet they have an incredible outsize influence on families all over the United States that they're totally sep separated from your thoughts about this reality and how we change it yeah it's a really important Point Stephen I was looking at the leaders of the Democrats and realized how many of the nextg leaders of the Democrats it's KLA Harris it's AOC it's a lot of folks like that they're they're not planning to have kids they don't have kids and I I I noticed that you know not having children I think changes the way you think about the future of the country if you don't have skin in the game you pointed to some of the studies that suggest the parents think about the future of the country in a different way and I realize that we're being ruled by a childless elite and it's it's not just they don't have kids of course a lot of people don't have kids for different reasons it's that they're proud of the fact they don't have kids they think it's bad if you have kids they think it's bad for the environment they're proud of their abortions they shout their abortions from the rooftops we're entering a new era where the leaders of the left are not just without kids they're proud of that fact and they look down on people who invest their time and their future in their children and that is a dangerous place to live as a country JD so I'm I'm curious I I take a different stance a little bit different than you and Steve respectfully uh they're about a quarter of the population uh that chooses not to have kids these are perhaps some of the hardest working most career-driven people that you'll find um are we not painting this group with perhaps a broad brush because not everybody is of that mentality that uh you know I'm not doing it because of climate change some people uh just choose a little bit differently and should those people not be excluded um because perhaps society's changing a little bit perhaps people are seeing the American dream as you know focusing on their careers what are your thoughts look I I've got people in my own family who haven't had kids for various reasons of course I've got dear friends who haven't had kids but I think it's one thing to say that some people are going to choose not to have children and another thing to say that we're living in a country where having children is now looked down upon and I think that's really where we have to focus our attention look you do not have a future as a country unless you have the Next Generation unless you have baby unless you have viable healthy families and I think so much of what's going on in the left especially is that they become obsessed with this idea that having a kid is like an old-fashioned thing it's something the previous generations did look if people don't want to have kids that's their choice but we shouldn't turn it into a Lifestyle brand and we shouldn't Point our finger at those Hicks in Middle America who have children because those are the people who are going to actually be the future of this country whether we like it or not if you don't have kids who's going to take care of you when you're old who's going to you know care for for our elderly who's going to work the jobs that are necessary if we don't have children the answer is nobody sure JD I want to get let's get down to policies here then what are some policy proposals that you're putting out there that will create stronger families yes Steve I I mean I agree with a lot of the proposals I've seen you put out there I think Josh Holly has a really interesting idea for basically how to encourage and give you know more resources to parents because as you know our current tax code actually penalizes people who are married and Josh Holly has an interesting proposal for how to change that I really like the proposal of this guy um Victor Orban in Hungary I think we could take it here in the United States where basically they give a really generous loan to new couples after they get married and if those people stay married and have healthy successful families they get the loan forgiven but I think the most important thing is whatever specific policy we choose we've got to just send a message that we're a pro- family country again there's so many cultural signals that people are looked down upon if they have kids we got to reverse that and one of the most important ways to reverse it is to get better more Prof family policies and and more fathers in the family as well right JD yeah that's such an important Point that's such an important point and i' encourage Folks by the way to support our campaign at JD vance.com you got to have moms and dads and this is a really really worthwhile point so much of what's going on wrong with the American family right now is you don't have dads especially for little boys and little girls we know that really hurts now to have dads in the home I know that pain very personally uh we got to make it easier for people to have kids have healthy stable families but absolutely got to have more dads in the home too well JD who this guy is you tell me who in Wisconson is sitting around saying damn I wish they'd give billionaires tax cuts and screw me over damn I wish they'd take my health care away I wish they'd underfund my public school I wish they would make my job more difficult and more dangerous and then at the end of the day I wish they'd make me work till I'm 75 years old no one's saying that no one's asking for that agenda what they're asking for is to be treated fairly with dignity that's what we have look I want to protect as many unborn babies as possible I also think we have to win the trust back of the American people and one of the ways to do that is to be the truly pro- family party I think we are we've got to carry that message forward and actually an acts some public policy to that effect does is birth control part of that policy empowering women to be able to make those decisions before they get pregnant look obviously people need to be able to make those decisions I don't think that I know any Republican at least not a republican with the brain that's trying to take those rights away from people uh but I think it goes deeper than that I mean I could provide a list for you if you wanted to well okay not not anybody I talk to Jake but but look I think the more important question is I talk to a lot of people a lot of young families who want to have babies they can't afford Mort mortgages they're terrified about Healthcare expenses we've got to answer those questions for people uh we've got to have a role to play because look we have a real problem in this country not enough American families that want to have children are able to do it that's how you destroy a nation um let me just say my father father Donald's older brother was in Ry at Lei University and then voluntarily went into the Air National Guard um the only one in the Trump family to ever serve in fact I had the honor of using his trunk his army trunk throughout my summer camp days uh everything about him and and you could we spoke the last time we were here about how I had the the honor of meeting Senator McCain no word that has been cheapened over the years but I said to my kids Andrea Christopher who were there and my wife Lisa this is a genuine hero look let's make no mistake about it the fact that Donald called him in essence a loser uh I I don't get it but you go anyone who is disabled or anyone who he deems lesser than him is a loser uh which uh okay that's just the way is that ain't going to change why do you think people than military support him I have no idea and uh I know many people who were in the military and I had the the pleasure of speaking uh on an interview with uh National Defense radio which goes out to the armed services and I told the truth I basically told this story and I said he just doesn't give a about them he just doesn't uh it's it's the great Godfather too one of the last scenes when Sunny says country ain't your blood kid and
