all right let's turn to the other big game in the big ten and that of course number five ohio state hosting number 20 penn state tomorrow in the shoe the buckeyes have beaten the nittany lions the last four times and james franklin's group has lost their last two games so it has been nothing but blowouts for the buckeyes since that loss to oregon back in early september ohio state scoring nearly 55 points per game in that span and winning guys by an average of 42. that's pretty impressive it's why it's they're raising eyebrows both of those marks best in fps as is their 562 total yards per game since that loss to the ducks they have been unstoppable on both sides of the ball it is safe to say that this is a different team since they had that loss to oregon but they haven't really played a dynamic offense either so what has been the biggest difference david between the buckeyes then and now well i think they're they're more organized they're more structured on defense they're more sound they're more disciplined and it is what it is until it ain't what it ain't because you ain't playing very many good offenses so i mean i'm excited to see them what am i watching here i mean indiana on their third quarterback maryland these are great highlights these are awesome right you know against oregon you know one sack one tfl like i want to see it against better competitions but they've been they've been better they've been more sound and i'll give them credit for that but i'm really excited to see against the explosive penn state offense yeah well i tell you what you know you hit on the head i mean since the oregon game they played tulsa what uh akron rutgers maryland indiana i mean these aren't teams that you would play to try to measure yourself against now they're gonna play a penn state team and i'm not really sold on penn state they didn't look great against iowa and then last week they lost in against illinois and night overtime so you know is this penn state team a team you would measure your yourself by so i just don't think they've had the competition yet that i respect at a level i would say okay these guys are back you know oregon don't forget they travel to columbus without two of their best players and they handled ohio state for four quarters so i have to see them against better competition now with that being said i do give credit where credit is due they went out there and they kicked butt and took kick butts and took names like they were supposed to but i still need to see them against better companies only an average of 40 jen said i mean that's not that close yeah but it also seems like you need style points for these wins because people are gonna look at it and go who are those opponents what does penn state have to do david in order to win this game they'll be reeling coming off of those losses well they're really sean clifford isn't healthy um and he's he's the best part of your offense because you have to be able to run the football with him and and he's got to throw it so i just they they don't run it really really well they have to find datsun they have to find those parker they have to find those guys at parker watching those guys on the outside that make plays create explosive plays i wish i could i would say play keep away and run the football but they can't do that maybe michigan or somebody else down the road can but i haven't seen penn state run the football yeah i'll tell you what james franklin said that he expects sean clifford to be a hundred percent that's great by saturday he wasn't against illinois no he was not and i tell you what and sean clifford doesn't play defense either i don't know if you've seen this uh buckeyes offense i mean they're played pretty explosive you're gonna have to score a lot of points to stick with the buckeyes and i don't see penn state being able to score a lot of points especially after that pillow fight they had against illinois that went nine quarters i promise you that that game should just ended with both teams with an l just shake hands both teams with an l you couldn't even give them a tie not even attack neither team deserved a tie both teams should have walked away with an ale you know what it did though it reminded a lot of people what those new overtime rules were there were people out there yeah oh i sure did didn't it that is how we're doing it it took nine over time can we just take a moment to recognize the folks who are coming out here in the rain to cheer with us today y'all are great we really appreciate you hanging out with us here on college football thanks for watching espn on youtube for live streaming sports and premium content subscribe to espn plus
