Champions League | New Format Explained

the UEFA Champions League is back but with a new format and a tougher challenge previously 32 teams were divided into eight groups each team played six matches and the top two Advanced to the round of 16 the third place team dropped to the Europa League while the fourth place team was eliminated now let's look at the new format in this revamped version there are 36 teams meaning four additional spots have been added instead of groups all teams are placed in a single League each team is random drawn to face eight different opponents four matches at home and four away the top eight teams after these eight matches automatically qualify for the round of 16 meanwhile teams placed 9th to 24th are paired against each other as for teams ranked 25th to 36th well let's just say they're off to an early vacation while this new system seems more competitive it could also lead to fixture congestion and more injuries which format do you prefer let me know in the comments below
