have been married since 2012. Former U.S. soccer star Hope Solo and her
husband, ex-NFL player Jerramy Stevens, have made headlines throughout
their 10-plus-year marriage. The two-time Olympic gold medallist and
Stevens first met as student-athletes at the University of Washington and
later wed in 2012 — just one day after Stevens was arrested on
suspicion of assaulting Solo. In the years since, Stevens and
Solo have welcomed two children, and stuck by each other's side throughout
legal troubles, Solo's forced retirement in 2016 and the goalkeeper's time spent
in in-patient alcohol treatment in 2022. Most recently, in 2023, Stevens supported
Solo as she was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame. Now, Solo's soccer success,

career to his relationship with his wife, here’s everything to know about Jerramy Stevens.
Stevens was born in Idaho in 1979. Stevens was born to Bob and Fran Stevens in 1979
in Boise, Idaho, and grew up in Lacey, Washington. He attended River Ridge High School and was a
letterman in football, basketball and track. He played in the NFL.
Stevens played football at the University of Washington and was drafted by the
Seattle Seahawks as their first-round pick in the 2002 NFL Draft. He stayed with the team until
2007 when he moved to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers He played in Super Bowl XL in 2006, which
the Seahawks lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers, a year after he became a regular
starter at tight end for the team. They first met at college.
Both Stevens and Solo attended the University of Washington, overlapping between
1999 and 2001. They first met while at the school, and dated for a while in the 2000s before
going a year without speaking in 2011. Solo told Elle in 2019 that Stevens had confessed
his love for her while out to dinner that year. “I didn’t know what to say,” she explained. “So I
said, ‘F--- you,’ and we didn’t talk for a year.” Stevens and Solo got married in November 2012.
He's supported Solo through controversy. Stevens and Solo welcomed twins in 2020.
Just a few months later, Solo celebrated Father’s Day by sharing a photo of Stevens
holding their children with the caption, “I could never have chosen a better father
for our children. Happy Father's Day!”
