but this is your very first concert yes I'm really excited sool yes this is my first concert I'm really excited Jamie tooa Jamie thank you for everything and we always love coming to your concert and it's my birthday so couldn't spend it any any way better hey Jamie welcome to Chattanooga hey Jamie welcome to Chattanooga what is it that you like about Jamie Johnson he just relates to the country people more or less he's just like that classic good country music he's a Storyteller everything he does is great so 100% country yeah yeah he speaks to The Working Man working man's country it's just redneck I love redneck people they're the best and just tells a story and just sings so we like that about them our cousin Ted served in Iraq with Jamie Johnson so they um Ted would tell stories about Jamie actually playing in the holes that they would dig while they were waiting and so he would play guitar and that got him through a lot of rough times when you hear the song In Color what do you guys think about he was a war veteran it's Papa and it's like a papa song I think of the good old days like with our grandparents and everything like that and everything they had to go through my grandfather I look up to him so that song reminds me a lot about him things that I do remember from my grandfather just like um read the Bible I live my life based off of that the times I have had to lean on it I it gets me through what do you think about what goes through your mind just a good old days just the good old days go back in time a little bit what was good about the good old days like times with your grandparents what did you guys do we sweated a lot cuz they didn't have air conditioning that's the main thing I remember about going to their house that's the little things that you remember like like my Mom's Kitchen on Sundays the smell the smell the fried chicken and the green beans gardening he grew the biggest watermelon with his papa just hunting all the time and my grandpa we grew up sitting on the porch and he' tell us stories all the time when you hear this song in C what goes through your mind what kind of memories does it bring up for you old stories that you get to hear from Generations past was good and when you look back at like a portrait and then it brings that memory you know to mind so then you think about visits with them and things y'all talked about her things you did makes me think of some of my buddies when I was in the Marine Corps but more it makes me think of my dad um I've got a picture of him and during World War II he was on the USS Pittsburgh and uh it was in a typhoon over by Japanese Waters um and had the whole bow of the ship ripped off wow uh he made me who I am you know it's all about honor and respect and a lot of the things that we don't see in this world Much Anymore uh he was very patriotic and love this country
