torrent of humankind making its way from the nearby station and we expect every seat to be filled and atmosphere of great expectation and excitement and we have in front of us this gloriously imposing Arena absolutely picture perfect for a game of this nature things have got underway here pretty promptly and and here's Kio a really good feat he's got options in the box if he gets his head up that is good defending it's been repelled tries to get it Forward quickly forward it goes Guerrero with a delicate ball [Applause] that's not going to make it [Applause] qua Andre Kio hoists it forward it's over the line and that'll be a goal kick and it's played [Applause] forward it can only get better this we haven't seen a shot yet and I'm hoping that when we do it'll spark a whole season series of them because it needs livening up F has got rid of [Applause] that Valencia desperately wants to get on the end of this qua tries to locate someone up front [Applause] play towards the front men done very well to intervene qua Guerrero qua tries to get it Forward quickly out to the left it goes chance to break gets it into the middle good take by The Keeper he's read that well Andre [Applause] Kio hoists It Forward tries to get it clear referee has just said play on and there's the end of the first half so the other team has broken through but certainly not for the W some first half thoughts it's been a pretty AB performance no effort at goal I'm struggling to remember the last time we had that so they head in no further forward the score here still nil nil so we're just settling back into this second half Ecuador can be very glad that Hal time he's good for it she is it out of hm's [Applause] way out to the right oh sweet feet qua Andre Kio drives it towards the front looks to bypass the Midfield oh good interception nil nil still it's a game that needs a bit of Life injected hoists it forward [Applause] very few chances to talk of Jim defense is it seems on top here yes nil nil and little promise of a goal due to the shot shy nature of this contest but I'm not giving up on it there's plenty energy on the pitch not to give up hope just yet played it massive leap no he couldn't get the direction he needed Guerrero really showed that he wanted it more than anyone else but maybe heading requires extra practice great strength too strong for his opponent [Applause] qua and it's Valencia and it's played forward [Applause] goes direct to the front oh real danger here Ecuador Merit full marks for their attitude and application in trying to win this it means an awful lot obviously tries to get it Forward quickly look this can still go either way it might be flowing one way but there's still time for some e oh good ball a chance to play it in oh he's been flattened there Ecuador showing a good level of intensity at this stage they're calling on all their resources [Music] now qua it is now or never time is against them you wonder if that's it now but there may be one more opportunity Peter for a late late steal here so time is nearly up one final twist perhaps well both sides there's the whistle and it is going to penalties well the scor line may have a disappointing look about it Peter but that's and it will be decided by the melodrama of penalties real tension here then as the first man readies himself so the first penalty oh it's saved pretty but straight at him he's put that straight at the keeper it's simply not good enough and so the captain steps up that's a good penalty oh that was a great strike he just gave the keeper absolutely no chance terrific penalty unsavable well it's never easy to step up and take a penalty but he slaughtered that home with authority that's how it's done he made the keeper commit yeah it's a guessing game for the keeper and he guess wrong and the keepers come up trumps I think the keeper done really well to save that he deserves a pat on the back from his teammates oh what a save that's great concentration from the keeper and a wonderful save Ecuador looking to draw level Great Stop Keepers denied him oh that's a super save from The Keeper Peru can go two ahead oh brilliant he had to save it and he did he cannot afford to Miss and scores to keep them alive well he strolled up and struck that with great confidence that's a superb spot kick so he walks up to the spot and puts the ball down oh he saved it that's a lovely stop from The Keeper he's done his teammates proud with that one ah it's a tame penalty straight at the keeper steps up as we enter sudden death and there it is the decisive kick so after a grueling game that went all the way the winner is decided on penalties it is a horrible way to lose
