[Music] [Applause] [Music] for the past 26 years every summer our family on our mom's side has spent our vacation in Ocean Bay Park our mom is the oldest of three siblings one brother and one sister but to us they're Uncle Jeff and and Kathleen better known as the Nelsons and Gades as you can tell in our home videos we take this week to get to hang out with our family and every year we all look forward to this part of the summer we've come to know the island like the back of our hands and now we want to share some of our favorite spots with you we hope they become as special to you as they macaroni salad potato salad and my favorite Fritos such an influencer broken out good morning today is our birthday happy birthday to as so we wanted to wake up super early and enjoy the Sunrise it's a little after cuz we slept in a little bit but it's still really nice cuz we have the beach to ourselves but where's Mom oh oh she's over there Mom vogle ended up joining us she woke up early as well and she's like can I come with you guys for your birthday Sunrise morning and I was like of course so we're doing that with Mom we're going to enjoy these little silent moments together but they you doing a little tarot and just going to just soak up these Beautiful Moments and start the [Music] day oh yay hello hello get [Music] [Music] up beautiful you know I do I'm just going to Cappuccino for Shannon and my classic love it really beautiful tradition where we go out with Mama Bogle and we get a really nice breakfast at the cvu market and today's special we're doing the bacon egg and cheese yes on a roll it's a I would say Long Island classic but we're having it here too yes it's gorgeous can't wait to eat it I'm [Music] hungry okay so so sweet Shannon ended up getting me uh well she bought me a pattern that I've been kind of looking at on Etsy to crochet so she also bought yarn to go with the pattern so all week we will be crafting because I also got Shan in a craft I know just such a twin moment moment she bought me a water a watercolor coloring book so I will be painting all week I have been telling her for years seriously that I've always wanted to get into the medium so this is such a beautiful sweet gift and the fact that we're like going to be like beach side and I'm going to be painting these I'm glad you saw the theme of why I wanted I saw the vision and I got all my stuff and I'm so excited to paint this [Music] week the stes W did you get S on dressing sweet is awful our favorite lunch ever is taco salad so Mama vogle spoiled us and for bir made some for our birthday so we're indulging in having this for lunch yeah thank you my pleas [Music] [Applause] [Music] a little bit cloudy so we're going to we decided to take that opportunity to go back put away the umbrella and potentially do maybe some editing and have a little bit of happy hour we're going to do like a preppy hour to the happy hour cuz we're going to plan to have some birthday dinner and drink so we're just going to relax before then and slowly get ready [Music] exactly it rained on our happy hours so we're going to go back and have another yes some Cheri and beer [Music] all [Applause] right to show I can't hand [Music] oh for a punch in a little today oh last night was so fun yes we're struggling this this is this is 32 yeah I can't keep up so I definitely need a little bit of electrolytes this morning so we're like let's go to the market we had intended to get some Assa goowls there but it opens at 10: for that for the Assa bowl for some which I was like a little I was like damn I was really craving that but this will do for now and they'll hold me over until we need to eat we'll get outside BS this week for sure oh my God yeah [Music] definitely so I am going to be painting in my coloring book Caitlyn actually picked it today I was like Caitlyn you decide what I'm going to paint today and she decided to pick the seagull so we're going to see how [Music] goes I have treasure treasure okay let's see you're going to start seeing a theme swey shells see out of my pockets look at that oh my God [Music] [Music] [Music] grab nice and then what is this the so we're trying to make the sunset move we're going to go right now oh God I don't know if we're going to make it I don't [Music] [Music] either last night we all collectively decided we wanted to wake up early and do a morning yoga session on the beach so that's where we're heading off to now which I'm really excited about I can't wait we have our tablet with us so we're like we'll put on some YouTube cuz no one is a yoga instructor here no but it doesn't stop us so we're going to do that and maybe read some affirmations as well yes [Music] what's the [Music] so today we are in Ocean Beach so what's great about this place is it has amazing shopping food and restaurants and great happy hours we usually go out here but this morning we decided we're going to do a little shopping and we're going to see what we can find today yeah we're going to let the stores talk to us today which is super dangerous but we're living for [Music] it I like that color I [Music] got my sticker for my water bottle wo y let me see let me see than cute oh that's adorable all right [Music] cute right I like that [Music] okay really sad didn't have any of our sizes I think it might have been because it's like towards the end of the summer so they're just not having any inventory left kind of fun but it's okay we still had fun and there's so many new things happening in Ocean Beach like so many new stores really surprised so we definitely have to go back yeah let good right I don't know [Music] yep [Music] [Music] [Music] giving me an excellent excellent [Music] excellent so we are going back to Ocean Beach but we're going with the cousins and we're going to do a really fun ice cream run and we actually did see earlier today that they had like a happy hour at housers which is our favorite spot the best spot ever so we're thinking I'm going to maybe stop by and get ourselves a drink there [Music] yay [Music] nice excited RI rolls oh my God I [Music] Dr [Music] we decided to wake up early to set up our chairs and our kubana um for a little bit so we kind of quickly just went to the beach to do that now we are very hungry so we decided we're going to go to the market to get some bacon egg and cheeses of course uh because R doesn't open till 10 I know which is okay but which is really exciting we kind of we Tred wake up a little earlier than usual so we could go to Sunken Forest today which I'm really excited to show you I know I can't wait it's such a little magical place it's a little bit of a walk but it's so worth it [Music] the Food review mom I didn't make it it's amazing yeah it's absolutely delicious yes that is really good yeah [Music] we're discussing how long this took us I think roughly if we get this wrong I will write it down we'll correct ourselves it is a 2 Mile one way from Ocean Bay Park potentially three potentially three I think between two and three but it's from ocean Bay Park to sailor's Haven that's the beach but we are going to be visiting the really cool park that's in the area called sunken Forest yes which is super cool and I'm excited to show you see for you'll see for yourself why it's called sunken Forest our Montage [Music] yeah yes [Music] down see that [Music] our comfort lunch has always been a turkey sandwich on the beach nothing beats it in my opinion I love a good sandwich but fresh turkey sandwich so so good and I would have any more of the I usually like the your bread but I have it on a Brios bun not complaining [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hold [Music] okay so we are going out to Ocean Beach tonight yes I'm so excited we're going to be doing Margarita and Madness I also think we're going to be like sprinkling in some other ones and we'll see what the Vibes like [Music] [Music] y we didn't do anything that we actually said we were going to do tonight so we ended up just going to houses for zippies but then we were like you know what sounds better going back to skooners I know which we're going back home now so it was kind of an early night but honestly I'm kind of fine with it I'm totally fine with it [Music] [Music] we are back in Ocean Beach because we're finally getting our ASA I know so we found out that they open at 9 here not 10 we're like go little early so Mama vogle actually went with us we enjoyed some little coffees together but she's getting our Assa Bowl now cuz now it's 9:00 so we got here a little bit earlier to just like ketchup enjoy our matcha K coffee yeah it's so good but yeah we love I love going to the town super early cuz it's like not many people so you get to really enjoy the streets and just like enjoy the peace and quiet yeah [Music] so finally I'm getting to my little crocheting project it's not close to done but I'm really excited I'm learning this new sort of Daisy granny square I've never really done granny squares before I really only do blankets um so I'm really excited to try it out so far it's not looking too bad it's starting to look like a daisy we will see how it goes [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so our cousin just got so we're literally been celebrating but we need a little break from the party so we are doing our favorite little um I would say like relaxing activity and going to the beach at night is obviously one of our favorite things to do I love sneaking out to just hear the ways that have the the night Beach to ourselves [Music] I'm up a little early so that's why I'm by myself today uh because I kind of wanted to crochet and save the beach it's our last full day but it looks like it's kind of overcast which is kind of a bummer but it's okay we'll make the day the best that it can and honestly at the same time we also have to pack so as you guys know about our previous Juju it works out [Music] a change of plans the entire water was hitting the dunes so I couldn't even sit if I wanted to so I'm going to go back back to the house and maybe do some packing I don't know like maybe take the morning to just kind of settle in and do those sorts of things and crossing fingers then maybe get sunnier later [Music] the chocolate oh [Music] nice see [Music] so because it's not the best of days and it is our last day which does make this a little less painful we are going to be packing now and we're just going to wrap everything up and clean up this crazy mess of a room yeah I'm looking forward to it [Music] that's the most we could do for now since we still have the rest of the day in a little bit tomorrow cuz obviously those little last minute things yeah and plus we're sharing a room with Mama vogle and our sister Caitlyn so not all of this is ours but yeah so this isn't just us but we cleaned what we could on our end so now everything's good and I think we're going to go to the beach the beach right because it's starting to a little sunnier out which is good you to [Music] appreciate [Music] we didn't go to the beach today no yeah we ended up just doing happy hour early and then we ended up going to Schooners for this pirate party I know it was so cool end up being so fun we ended up going there for like most of the afternoon and then literally we just got so tired from drinking that like no one went to the beach but it kind of worked out there it's kind of Cloudy so it's not much of a beach day to begin with so we're all like you know we're just going to like enjoy ch's company at the house and maybe like hop in and out of Schooners throughout the day since the pr party is pretty hopping but we're just enjoying the rest the day since it's our last full one with the family I know yes we ended up just grabbing all the chairs and we're heading back now yes [Music] last night was so fun I know but we were I was tired so we went to bed much sooner than all the cousins and they ended up going out to Ocean our defense though and if anyone knows us they put a movie on and makes me go to sleep I feel like sabotage sabotage no I was really tired so I was like I don't think I want to especially cuz we have to like leave tomorrow and do last minute things responsible shanon but now I have Foo this morning but here's the the reason why I bring this up is because they had such a good time they left two bikes in Ocean Beach so we're just going to grab breakfast and go grab the bikes for them since they're all still recuperating from us so we thought we would help out and we're like we're going to walk down there and we'll just have breakfast yeah so we're going to do that and yeah and enjoy our last morning here I [Music] know nice one B we only found one though we don't know where the other one is so we're like trying to figure it out cuz we do not recognize any of these [Music] bikes SEC cured the bike and the [Applause] bagel [Music] yay last morning here I know it's so sad I am so bummed it makes it a little easier though because it was it's a little rainy it's overcast so it's kind of like a good send off cuz if it was sunny I would not want to leave i' be like no I'm too sad even though I am still sad I thought I'm not but it's just been such an amazing seven days no it literally has been so amazing and I'm so glad we're able to take you to our little moments of peace and quiet and the little special spots that we love since we've been here for like 26 years 1998 figured this out while we were here which is insane but every year has always made either something different or special about it that constantly makes us really excited that we come here as a family every year I know [Music]
