a woman is behind bars for killing a cat and consuming its remains at around 10:45 p.m. on Friday the 16th of August 27-year-old Alexis tiia Ferell was arrested outside a public housing complex where she resides located in the 1100 block of 13th Street Southeastern Canton Ohio Alexis is a accused of killing the cat by stomping on its head and then eating it in front of their neighbors police responding to the scene found Alexa squatting next to the dead cat with blood on her hands and feet and fur on her lips police received a video of the incident and Stark handy Humane Society collected the cat's carcass as evidence it's unclear who the cat belonged to Alexis was charged with prohibitions concerning companion animals injuring animals and disorderly conduct by reason of intoxication and was booked into the star Kenny jail during her on Monday the 19th of August her bom was set at $100,000 a preliminary hearing is scheduled for the 26th of August Alexis has a criminal history which includes multiple theft convictions as well as a 2023 felony conviction for child endangerment which was sentenced to 3 years probation early this year Alexis was also sued for eviction by the star County Housing Authority that case was subsequently dropped by the plaintiff
