Tragic Fire Destroys Beloved Wolf Lodge

hey everyone today I have some truly heartbreaking news to share from kurella and Idaho on Monday afternoon the iconic Wolf Lodge Steakhouse a cherished Landmark was engulfed in a massive fire for those of you who might not know the Wolf Lodge Steakhouse wasn't just any restaurant it started back in 1939 as a humble convenience store before transforming into the Beloved Steakhouse it was known for today since the early 1980s it has been a Cornerstone of the community famous for its warm atmosphere and mouthwatering Stakes that Drew both locals and tourists alike sadly the fire is reported to have started in the chimney and quickly spread to the attic consuming the entire building in Flames the scene was dramatic with smoke plumes visible from miles away fire officials and law enforcement had to urgently ask people to steer clear of the area so that emergency crews could do their work the Wolf Lodge Steakhouse wasn't just place to grab a bite to eat it was a gathering spot where families and friends came together to celebrate countless special moments it sudden loss has left the community in shock and disbelief Tom Engel who has owned the restaurant since 1993 saw his lifelong dream and the community's memories go up in smoke the outpouring of support from the community speaks volumes about the impact this establishment had on everyone now let's talk about the brave firefighting efforts Crews from multiple agencies including the Idaho Department of lands and the Idaho State Police responded to this for alarm fire nine tenders carried water from Lake Kur dalen to douse the Flames despite their best efforts the fire spread to nearby Woodlands igniting a small wildfire that was eventually contained three firefighters suffered from smoke inhalation and heat exhaustion but thankfully they were treated on the scene and not hospitalized the restaurant manager however wasn't as fortunate and sustained second degree burns he is currently receiving medical treatment and our thoughts are with him for speedy recovery an investigation is ongoing to find the official cause of the fire initial reports suggest it may have been a grease fire that ignited in the chimney this is truly a significant loss for the community the Wolf Lodge steakouse was more than just a building it was a place filled with Decades of memories laughter and joy it's a reminder of how quickly things we cherish can be taken from us thank you for watching en joying me in keeping the Wolf Lodge star from the Kuran community in your thoughts during this difficult time if you have any memories or stories about the Wolf Lodge Steakhouse feel free to share them in the comments below let's keep the spirit of this beloved institution alive stay safe everyone to catch you in the next video
