Well, in our ready pet go series, we run Acro across many wonderful working dogs in Northeast Ohio. All expertly trained to guide protect or support among them. A schnoodle, that's a Schnauzer poodle mix who is very busy helping out in schools from kindergarten all the way to college. Yeah, a hard working kid loving, certified therapy dog with a resume. That's pretty impressive. Monica Robbins reports. Go, we get great submissions all the time for dog on weather. But Riley's made us sit up and beg for a little more information. I want you to meet Riley this morning. Riley is an eight year old Snoodle. She is a certified therapy dog and also an ambassador for the county's rescue village. In fact, she does so much good in the community that we do. We need to learn more about her. Riley may be small in stature, but as we found out, her experience and accomplishments are long a certified therapy dog since 2017, she spreads joy and comfort to countless students across Northeast Ohio. Yes. As you gaze over her impressive resume, you'll notice a distinct theme. She makes kids smile. And when I see those smiles when they read to her or they pet her or whatever they do with her. It makes everything worthwhile for why she comes to see the Children request granted. So we went along with Riley to both Bride and L and Mandel Jewish day school. She makes regular visits here with her human Karen Williams who finds this a wonderful way to stay connected with a treasured profession. I taught in Beechwood for 35 years. I retired from Beachwood and then subbed for another 10. So this is my way to give back to the Beachwood community. Left foot, right foot, feet, feet, feet. Oh, how many feet you meet God. That was so good. You got the last part too. I'm so proud of you from reading silly stories and practicing letters to even telling funny jokes. What do you get when you cross a Porsche pine and a turtle, a porch turtle, a slow poke Riley is there to listen. Always judgment free but ready to reward with a trick or two. They love it. The hula hoop one that's the most favorite. That's the most favorite is the Hula hoop. They all wanna try it. Her impact extends beyond reading, support, life stressors can disrupt the days of even our youngest learners. Riley's calming presence applies the perfect antidote. You know, we bring him to Riley and it's, it's just, it's amazing to watch how quickly, um, it helps them to calm their bodies calm their nerves kind of reset. A little bit, a little dog with a love of Children who is winning over. Plenty of educators too. Riley helps me do my job because she helps me. She gives me that self-confidence, you know, to help these kids read better. Her job is to make people happy. Monica Robbins three news. Well, since spring time is exam time for high school and college students, you'll find Riley spending time with older students to help alleviate some of that stress that we know comes with this season of testing. What an amazing dog and the fact that those kids, I'm thinking like the Children who read the books to Riley and it's like they have a true audience and I love that. That's so special. Yeah. Yeah. Very cool to see that.
