he said that he's not thinking about coaching he doesn't desire it now but he could coach tomorrow and it's not coach hiring season and we'll see what happens he's going to coach he's going to teach not coach but teach a course at USC in the spring but you know we know how the season goes 32 teams they get thrown in the blender there's going to be good teams there going to be bad teams the bad teams are like how do we get better we fire our coach we hire a new one he wasn't really mentioned at all last year and he's only a year older than bill bich for crying out loud age discrimination is very real in the NFL it's very real right whether they get sued for it or not is a different issue we want young we want fresh we want cheap they don't mention that part but I think he should be considered bill bich is going to be considered why wouldn't he be considered yeah I I I hear you I mean that basic logic is what makes you wonder right I I you know Pete Carol is cool he's going back to teach and all that man I'd love to be in some class that Pete Carol is the the teacher that would be amazing right fast yeah right fast fast he ain't slowing down no he's not he's not he's not and he'd probably you know be quite entertaining that's for sure but I I hear and and it is interesting like one hey I would say yeah I don't expect him to be a a head coach again I don't because of what you talked about the age discrimination of like Oh wait we're going to get him and how many years is he really going to be here and coach before he goes wait I'm getting too old to do this all that that's going to scare people let alone I think he didn't show the ability belich did of course to run every facet of an organization let alone evolve in ways that no coach has ever evolved in their life I mean nobody like Bill bich I mean he's changed himself 97 different times just to win a football game so that's where I think there's probably a little more hope in bich than Carol uh you know as far as moving forward but you know you're painting it is a positive the big negative with bich is you got to give him the keys and let him run the show and then if he comes in as something other than the guy in charge of everything he's just the head coach can we trust him to not try to take over you know you got 40-year-old general manager that wants to draft the receiver from Texas Tech in round four and Bill just kind of rolls his eyes and makes a grunt oh I guess I'm not drafting him so you don't have that with Carol that's the thing Carol just come in and be happy to be the coach I know he basically ran the show in Seattle he'd be I get the feeling he'll do whatever you want me to come coach I'll come coach and he'll do that transformation where he looks every bit his age until it's time to go and then it's like he throws off the the jacket and he's out there jumping and running around and throwing the football I mean I just think it's it's not fair for him to not even be considered he I got you there run your run your businesses however you want owners dysfunctional teams keep doing dysfunctional things don't consider a guy that won a Super Bowl don't consider a guy that went back to the Super Bowl the next year don't consider him hire some somebody else who's completely unproven who's never been a coach and then you'll be hiring somebody else two years from now you know that's the point about age oh how long's he going to coach well let's say you get five years out of him are you going to get five years out of the person you hire who's 37 who's never been a head coach before who may or may not work out so anyway I'm not on Pete Carrol's payroll yet but maybe I maybe working on it yeah you enroll in that class he's teaching you need to get in there hey Pete Pete give me a cut I'll get you back in the NFL I'm joking okay you have a chance to win $1 million in the NBC sweep Stakes on Yahoo fantasy just download the redesign Yahoo fantasy app or go to NBC sports.com fantasy million for additional details what are you waiting for hi it's Mike Florio thanks for watching pftt on YouTube hit subscribe for the latest news and Analysis from pro football talk
