Toronto International Film Festival Kicks off with Massive Tragically Hip Party

everybody come this way everybody [Music] [Music] [Music] be [Music] [Music] [Music] come on everybody come [Music] on come on [Applause] [Music] [Music] go who was in the theater just watching the documentary so it just released Amazon Prime on September 20th and for those of you who are there yes yes everyone should watch it let's hear you can everyone to watch this film all right so we're here to hang out with you and do some singing and we thought we'd run through a nice set of like he said we're here to hang out and do some singing so we thought we would sing like Sweet Caroline and uh Fire and Rain it's no sweet [Music] Carol wrong now we're here to sing some songs by TR the hip and let's hear it for the band I heard maybe the band would be somewhere around here so maybe you'll see but they populated in the crowd with a lot of lookalikes just to keep you guessing just in case all right first thing we're going to do is we need to warm your voices up if you don't know who chir chir chir is I mean this is a but it's also you you are the show so if you have a bad time today it's really more on you than us but we're here to make you sound good and not care about how you sound necessarily just sing and then we'll work with it we're very aware that some of you will not sound good but that's okay that's all right I'm sure you're good at other things we don't know that for a fact we we not sure we hope so for you and your family I hope for your sake it doesn't matter to me necessarily should we do a vocal warm up I think we should do a vocal up so this is very very simple we're going to sing some songs we're going to warm up so everyone just stretch your arms out all right ateas that week that you've had Shake Your Hands shake your legs pull your arms back and just lightly feather the face of people on either side of you all right now go side to side all right I see some people not stretching it's clear that you haven't stretched for 25 years I think that you should do it for yourself do something nice for yourself roll those shoulders back forward on the count of three everyone take a deep breath 1 2 3 hold it in for 12 minutes it's first half of our show all right let out one more time 1 2 three all right so we're going to do a call and response to be [Music] [Music] w [Music] [Music] please it's my P over here thank you so much you [Music] [Music] [Music] similar type of considerations for liability [Music] yeah yeah we [Music] it's amazing it's amazing and then hey hey all right let's have a night boys right exactly and I literally like how are you [Music] two well I know one person really post in one of
