TCU WR Jack Bech talks Frogs’ fall camp

Intro if you feel comfortable in the system man well for sure 100 once you start knowing the system better the plays come easier you start be able to play freely so you know we're what two and a half three weeks into Camp so not everybody in the team really knows Playbook included me so it definitely getting pretty comfortable with the office you like it I love it I love coaching prowl is what he's bringing um how expensive our offense is going to be and like we have playmakers all across the ball I mean we got 10 receivers that could play we have four running backs five running backs that can play we have a really good online you know second uh too deep on the line two really good three really good quarterbacks um I'm excited we're gonna have as a new phone for sure they've been using you so far in the offense are you mainly the slaughter you've been kind of moving around I've been moving around a little bit I don't want to get too much into that but yeah now I've been moving around a little bit though how tough was it for you to not be able Being out of spring camp to go through spring camp uh with you know being out and how glad are you to be out there now in Fall Camp getting all those reps you're definitely very happy like football is the thing I love most in this world a lot my mama and my dad and uh and Jesus so you know it's great to be able to be back out there playing ball with all the guys um but no I've been very excited to get back on the field um showcase what I can do and I'll be able to help this offense out but I just took the spring as a learning you know go out there get a lot of middle reps get to know the offense and obviously it's much different when you're on the field getting all the getting the real reps not just the middle reps but I very happy on that give me some insight in that in that white receiver room I mean it feels like you got all kinds of parts and pieces and playing the game your name what's the competition like what's the camaraderie like what's it like yeah Competition that's one of the cool things um like everybody like I said we have 10 guys so we're all pushing each other every day because you know everybody wants to rock everybody wants to be a guy and all that does is make competition to like and it brings the standard up way up here so every day everybody's coming out there every time you're in the game you're going full speed as hard as you can for those you know two three four plays you're in It's just in the camaraderie between everybody as well it's a big Brotherhood um you know that nobody ever gets you know like feels like I'm just like once like everybody knows that they're gonna have a part to play in the offense um I think it's been cool just seeing everybody go out there work every day working uh day in day out um so what made TCU so attractive when you were looking for a new school report Offense yeah there were there were definitely a couple couple pieces um obviously like that aerated offense just you know that ball is being slung around a whole lot um obviously the whole office coach Staffing uh Coach Collins for sure whenever I saw him his presentation with his staff I really knew that's what I'm gonna like I was coming here no matter what your body's even changed since you've been here because of his influence give us some insight into what what that has done to you what his system is up here I'm your morning I could sit here and that's the only thing we could talk about for two hours but no just everything um everything he does from a nutrition standpoint or working out standpoint I feel like personally we we're the hardest working team in the country and it's not even close but not only are we that because there's also like an intellectual part that comes into play with everything they do so you know it's not only are we working hard but we're being smart which I think you know everybody works hard but the intellectual part that we add in I think that's what gives us that one percent in that edge Jack when you first got here First impressions in the spring these guys were coming off a national championship appearance what's some of the first things that you noticed about this team maybe mentality wise and some other things when you first got here everybody's voted from from A to Z it doesn't matter if you're first or any second stranded or eighth string everybody everybody's bought in um and how does somebody like cause in the weight room um to just lead us every day with this whole staff it's really been incredible I tell my parents every day how grateful I am for him uh for his staff and for Coach Sony um like I haven't noticed two leading us I feel like people can't have anybody else better uh your favorite DB to go again Favorite position well I'm usually in the slot so I'm going to Nickel uh to be honest we all have really good slots they all have different capabilities um you know some are bigger and stronger the nipple of some are a little quicker and faster but my favorite I don't know I don't know they're all we we gotta like I said I was sitting there as well it's gonna be one of the best in the nation if not the best so you know this one's going up against all those guys every day it's only goodness better as well Louisiana bragging rights you've never pulled bud or Josh aside just for Louisiana bragging rights or anything like that uh funny we actually with bud man we're always saying 717 whenever we were younger and like sophomore junior years something like that so we already got our reps in but uh no but definitely like Bud as well just all those guys it's um but it's funny we do actually have a good Louisiana kids with this team so just being able to relate the bottom with them has been pretty cool experience as well what food are you missing the most Food all my grandma's food like all the Crawfish you know shrimp fish shrimp bad crawfish this crawfish that probably stuff like that boiled crawfish things like that for sure when you watch Coach Swinney practice out there it looks like coach browse has a lot of enthusiasm a lot of energy what's it been like getting to be coached by him it's been awesome especially whenever you have a coach that not he that doesn't just sit back and Coach but really like gets in there with the guys it's always brings like a different feeling a different like Aura would especially like the hall offense um it's been awesome like you said he's so passionate and he loves the game uh just as much as us and it's so cool to see that because and he really I love like everything he does and how you know we run the ball and even though it's like throw the ball a lot don't like we're definitely gonna have a run game um but it's just been cool to see like how many different things he does but often I've personally never been in office that does so much like as we do just like how we can move everybody around like a running back can be we can just do so much and we're just so creative so it's definitely been pretty cool anything else for Jack
