[Music] KSL Sports Live is brought to you by Riverton Chevy the Chevy Weight Champion well here we are the day Utah football fans have been waiting a long time for the start of another college football season and once again this year the expectations high as always for this Utah football program picked to finish first in the Big 12 in their first ever season in the conference but I think one thing that fans are probably most excited about about the beginning of the new season is The Return of their starting quarterback cam rising of course cam Rising missed all of last season with a knee injury but tonight against Southern Utah he looked like he never missed a second Utah's opening drive ended with Rising finding a wide open dejon Stanley for a 64 yd touchdown and a 7-0 lead after just one quarter of play now Utah's next possession that one carried over into the second quarter that that's when Utah fans got to see something they've been waiting a long time to see rising to Brandt keithy for a 29 yd touchdown Keith's first game since since September of 2022 Utah's up two touchdowns then things really got going rising to keithy on an 18 yard touchdown that put Utah up 21-0 in the second quarter Utah's fourth possession Rising goes to Stanley again and he burns down the sidelines 79 yards for the score Stanley with 150 yards receiving in the half it's 28 nothing Rising found keithy for a third time and this was a beast mode touchdown from keithy breaking multiple tackles for the score rising's career-high fifth touchdown pass the first Utah quarterback to throw five touchdowns in a half since Brian Johnson did it in 2008 true freshman Isaac Wilson came into the game making his Collegiate debut he was sacked on his first career snap and then two plays later thre an interception but Utah had a comfortable 35 Z lead at the half now Wilson did make some progress late in the game in the fourth quarter he was able to find former BYU basketball player Caleb loner for their first career touchdowns and the youths you know what they did what we all thought they would do which is dominate for a big time 49 to nothing win over suu
