the screen scattered all over western Washington, and that's just a good reminder that you know the winter weather is here to stay for now. Yes Dan Griffin live in North Bend this morning, Dan. How's it looking up there? Hey I'll tell you. You know what? It looks pretty dark. Last hour. We were showing you Snoqualmoo . Well, North Bend is just as dark. I'm gonna flip the camera around. So you can see what we're seeing here this morning. It's relatively dark here in North Bend, I was tallying up Puget Sound Energy's numbers, at least from where they stand at Last update about more than 5100 customers Without power this morning, they're saying that strong winds heavy rain, snow melt. They've caused additional outages. But they also say that obviously the wind gusts of about 45 to 55 MPH really The cause some issues as well. So they've been, as they say, working around the clock to assess damage, make repairs to equipment restore power to all those customers, But obviously it takes time to do that. So this is what we've been seeing here is we've been driving through North Bend interesting. Every so often you see a little glimmer of electricity as some of these filling stations. These gas stations like this 76 that we're coming up on here in north end right now. I assume they must have a generator because this is about the only bright spot that we have seen here in North Bend. Once you start to get past this 76 gas station, though it then turns into a dark area dark neighborhood where most people are going to be waking up without power until these crews can really get to work here. They basically saying Puget Sound Energy that some of the hardest hit areas and King County kits at Pearson Thurston counties, and they're saying, you know these high winds that were coupled with rain saturated ground. It destabilized trees, and it made them more susceptible to collapse. And then, of course, those trees fall down in this power. Our lines. And this is the end result here, So now we're really getting into the part of North Bend. I was hoping to show you here live on the air this morning. You can see Driving through. It's just dark. In fact, it's kind of eerie because you know you look around. There's not really much and when of electricity, the stoplights are out. Um and every so often you'll hear in the distance. You know a sound. I think it's a generator or you know something along those lines, but this is essentially what people are waking up to here this morning as those crews try to restore that power, so we're going to keep driving around North Bend. We're going to drive around the area to get a better look at where things stand and try to see if we spot some of these. Cruz doing work? I've been looking at the map to try to get a better idea, too of where they may be. So if we see them, maybe we'll get you a live shot of that as well. But yeah, Here's an example right here. Coming up to these intersections and stop lights just are not working here
