Great night for Friday night football. And it made me think about tonight's sportscast and I saw that Hebrew played Jesuit tonight. My nephew plays for Hebrew. So I'll have my nephew Leo. So I'll have to see how they did. Have to stick around to the a for a while. Don't tell the sports guys that we all know you're just listening. No, I'm not, I'm not going there. Uh It's a joke. Let's start here. We have just a little bit of rain showing up on our radar. The Dallas Fort Worth area, it's quiet. We go out to the southwest, we see a little bit more rain, some scattered showers, a couple of thunderstorms. Uh, it's east Texas too, seeing some rain. We're kind of stuck in the middle. I don't know if I like the way that looks, you know, the Dallas Fort area, most of the North Texas is just not seeing rain. The good news if we could for our Texas, our fellow Texans here is the area that is seeing rain, the big bend area, parts of West Texas. That's the area under the worst drought. So I wanted to show you that because yes, we have our own drought problems here in North Texas. But the extreme or exceptional drought levels that is in the big bend area and they are seeing some rain, uh also toward the hill country here in North Texas. We do need rain. It's not gonna be widespread this weekend, but a lot of these areas in the moderate and severe drought levels, the moderate right here for parts of the metroplex, the severe drought to the northwest of the Dallas Fort Worth area, they will see more rain over the next several days. So let's talk about that. Now, as we go through, uh as we go through tonight into tomorrow, we're not expecting to see much rain. A scattering of showers and thunderstorms is expected on Saturday. This is 3 p.m. You see how the coverage of rain starts to kind of bubble up as we get into the heat of the day of the afternoon. So that's 3 p.m. It's not widespread, right. You know, we're talking 30 40% coverage now Saturday afternoon, Saturday evening, then on Sunday, Sunday looks like our best chance for more of North Texas to see rain, scattered showers and storms will bubble up again, especially with the heating of the day. That's 12 p.m. Notice as we get into the afternoon, the rain becomes more numerous, nothing severe. That's the great news. If you have any plans this weekend, don't cancel anything. It's going to be totally fine. There will be some scattered thunderstorms certainly for the afternoon and going into Sunday evening, there's 7 p.m. Look at this, some batches of showers and storms moving through and then on Monday for Labor Day itself, still another chance for some scattered showers and storms. But most of that on Monday looks to be south of I 20. The rain chances overall on the lower side compared to Sunday. So tomorrow's coverage 30 40% Sunday, 50 maybe 60% Monday for Labor Day, 40% coverage of rain and a reminder, nothing severe. But please, if you are headed out, I will say this this time of the year with the kind of heat that we do have thunderstorms that bubble up can produce some pretty strong winds, not necessarily severe. They'd have to be 60 miles an hour to be severe. But if you're out on a lake, a 40 mile per hour wind gust, uh it could be dangerous. So something to keep in mind if you are headed out, especially on area lakes this weekend tonight, 74 scattered rain thunderstorms tomorrow, 90 warm and muggy with light winds. The 14 day forecast, you know, I will tell you all of this talk about football and then looking at the highs in the, you know, the eighties for a majority of these next 14 days is fall really this close and not only that we have the scattered rain chances coming today and then you see the highs in the eighties, college football is back tomorrow and Joe's at high school football. Is it really that time of the year, man? Are we finally gonna be able to cool off and enjoy some decent weather? How you doing, Joe?
