hi guys how are you how are you I'm doing great so to start I talked to Max and Sam yesterday and they talked a lot about how theater kind of influenced a lot of what we look to for the Edgars but as people who have done theater yourselves how does having theatrical humans behind the lens kind of help you guys when you're getting into character and kind of working on set well when I did theater I only did one play on Broadway and I felt very free I felt like I was flying so I feel like this role gave me that same feel and working with Sam and Max they gave us the environment and the atmosphere to feel free to try things and to explore and I love that because I was able to do a lot of things that I didn't think I was capable of doing with this role yeah yeah I would Echo that also yeah um that and that doesn't always happen you know that's sense of um openness and and freedom um but it does make a lot of things uh possible you know trust and um uh and we were a family sort of off screen and then on screen the family element I and I think that's what's going to appeal to a huge range of audience that um because essentially it's about many things but it's family you know women and of course but a family you know and we all know that in its different guises yeah and brendy you get to play like she has her moments where she is she has to be the voice of reason but then you can also tell that she's just kind of done with the situation she's herself in how do you find the fun in getting to play that kind of desperation but also just kind of exhaustion by the entire situation I I love playing different emotions I love the range of the character and that's one of the reasons why I took it on because I wanted to see if I can pull something like that off so to go from here to there like every scene is it was just different and it was fun just exploring just how deep I can go Within Myself yeah and Katherine I love how you kind of transform yourselves like physically for these roles like poor things versus this I was like that's that's not the same human being in but how does that kind of help you get into these more like unhinged performances that you get to do um uh I I I you know that immediately triggers memories of um I was in Prosthetics uh you know so though a very brilliant Prosthetics team and and uh that was kind I think we eventually got it down to two hours or so and then except for in the bath that was a sort of 4 hours or five or something but um um no I just wanted to go back on what you were saying about Brandy and having seen the film again yesterday uh uh uh I I think it's an absolutely extraordinary beautiful performance and that Journey uh is calibrated beat by beat you know uh and uh by so by the time by the time comes to the end I think everybody is living that Liberation that happens um and which is a glorious feeling you know not to end up which is a departure from the original short story but um I think we really need that you know to that sense of freedom and you took us there and that's is really extraordinary thank you I completely agree and for the last quick question I want to ask you know this movie is kind of a lot of people are going to be you're trapped in a house essentially just like these characters are so for you guys what are you so most excited about audiences getting to see when they go and see the front room I think they're gonna feel so good to see that it's not just horror it's comedy it's it's so many different emotions that they're going to feel and I think they're going to love the film and they're going to love the characters and they're going to be able to relate and I think that's the most important part and if I can quickly add the cinematography is absolutely beautiful and and the vision Sal and Max of course but so so so-called horror is is is couched in a a visual of beauty you know and so which is like disarming but um so I think people will enormously enjoy that so it has a kind of fairy tale feel yeah I can't wait for everyone to get to see thank you guys so much for talking with me today I really appreciate it thank you nice meeting you nice meeting you have a great one two
