Meet Army's #71 So OL Paolo Gennarelli, Starter at RG in Lehigh Opener

it's K crater for camat media we're at Army football practice Black Knights just about 10 days to their opener against Lehigh have a chance to talk to a sophomore offensive lineman poo generali and it's been getting a lot of time at uh at tackle uh number 71 Pao good to see you how was practice out there for you was good to see you Ken uh practice is good just working on my fundamentals you know trying to get better every day especially up until Lehigh very good now tell us you were in the scrimmage on Saturday you were getting time it looked like a right tackle is that correct oh was right guard oh Right Guard okay tell us about moving up into that spot and uh what are some of the keys in in playing right in playing Right Guard uh well being playing Right Guard you just got to be a physical guy and I have a lot of teammates around me who have help me kind of like Get get on top of my fundamentals Lucas Scott who played Right Guard all last year has been a huge help to me I've been like using him like as a mentor like all all camp and up until now good now tell us where you're from and why you pick West point I'm from Canton Hills Illinois and I came to West Point because I've always had a desire to serve where's that in Illinois uh it's about 50 miles west of Chicago okay I used to go out to Elgen quite a bit uh and uh so so first day of school uh today how was that uh pretty fun pretty excited to get it going some uh fun classes so very good how is it just uh getting set getting uh you know getting the opportunity to get playing time being in the in the in the top of the of the depth chart how is it for you you know kind of having being able to move into a spot where you're going to play quite a bit um I'm really just fortunate to be in this position and especially the coaches moving over Lucas Scott to right tackle which gave me that opportunity um it's just a blessing honestly um and I have a ton of guys around me to support me um will Jeff coat has been huge for me who recently came back uh Bill CIS also another guy I'm leaning on and obviously Lucas Scott and con freaking coming back it's been huge and just to your left you've got uh another so sophomore Brady small yeah of course Brady yeah he's H you know it's quite a good offensive CL line offensive class your sophomore class and how's it just uh final FX just getting set for a new year and uh and your opener in 10 days uh just really excited still trying to master my fundamentals uh we still got a lot of work to do as a team so very good poo generali uh good to meet you and our best wish is uh on getting set for the opener good to see you crater for cam Vats media
