We are still learning details about the shooting that killed former Page High school. And Clemson wide receiver De Andre Overton. Overton was shot over the weekend at a house party on Spring Mill Road that from my Susan Lake spoke to the homeowner where the shooting happened. The homeowner didn't want to go on camera since deputies do not have anyone in custody responsible for De Andre Overton's murder. However, he did tell me that he tried putting a stop to the party that was taking place on Saturday at around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning, Guilford county deputies received a call about a loud house party and noise disturbance on Spring Mill Road. The homeowner told me he's the one that made that phone call. He says he uses the home as a short term rental and rented it to a group of women who said that they were having a girls weekend. The homeowner says the group contacted him about having some friends over to hang out. He says he shared his concerns with him that he didn't feel comfortable with that. It was shortly after that conversation that the homeowner says he went to check his outside cameras around the home and noticed that the Wi Fi had been cut off after many attempts to contact the group. The homeowner says he heard from a neighbor that there seemed to be a large house party taking place. That's when the homeowner called law enforcement to drive by and check it out. The sheriff's office says on their way to respond to the noise complaint, they were informed that a shooting happened at that location. Former Page High School and Clemson University football star DeAndre Overton was found shot on scene and pronounced dead. Deputies say the incident was isolated and the investigation is ongoing. Crime. Stoppers announced Saturday it's offering up to $5000 for information leading to an arrest. In this case. The homeowner says since the incident, he's seen some older posts on social media notifying people that a large party was going to be taking place at his home over the weekend which he says isn't allowed.
