We want to get to a developing story in Fort Worth, a robbery suspect stabs a teenage cashier. This happened at the Kroger on Camp Bowie West Boulevard near West Loop 820 today, Matt Houston joins us live from the scene. Matt, we're told that teenage girl is in critical condition tonight. Yeah, with serious injuries. Izzy. You can see the flashing lights over my shoulder here at the Kroger. We are still pushing police for more information. But as you said, we know that a man uh came in, attempted to rob the store, stabbed a cashier repeatedly in the stomach and sent her to the hospital. Fort Worth police say though they have taken that man into custody. The victim again, a young woman is at the hospital now with serious injuries. This all happened around noon. So five hours ago, police are still here. Kerger tells us this sort will remain closed until Fort Worth PD finishes their investigation. Police have turned away literally dozens of would be customers, some coming for groceries, others for prescriptions and Viviano Ayala who you'll hear from in a second. He came to cash a check. He said the same thing the others have told us this is a minor inconvenience for him. A tragedy for the people inside. And not really surprising. I'm just not shocked over here at the Las Vegas Trail area. You get some riff raff here that they're trying to take stuff over here and when they get caught they deny it, deny, deny, deny. Yeah, something's gonna happen here someday because of these confrontations that constantly go here at the self checkout. Now three other regular customers told me people often try to steal from this storm. We're still waiting for police to tell us what kind of weapon the attacker used here where they caught him and whether there is surveillance video, security video from around here that could help with their investigation. We'll bring you more as we learn more information about what all happened here and what police response will be in Tarrant County. I'm Matt Houston. Just a few hours.
