at Harris Teeter our purpose is to enrich lives one mill one family one associate and one community at a time for customers we do this through the quality and variety of products we offer the exceptional customer service and the way we show up in the community our people are what makes our organization so special and we care for the well-being of our customers and Associates the meaning of enrich is to improve the quality of something by something else to be as genuine as honest as possible when interacting with customers treating them like people I love the people that I work with and the people that I work for it's definitely a group of people that all they want to do is make the customer happy some people just needs someone there a listening ear a friend and I made a lot of new friends at my haris Teeter it makes me feel good when I know that I'm giving customers you know great experience in my department and you know getting them something to take home to their families and makeing sure everybody's happy and bringing families together making people feel welcome and making them feel at home and making them feel like it's their personal hairs Teeter to shop with every day my purpose in Harris Teeter is to help other people sometimes these people don't even have family they come in and we're the only people that they see on a daily basis and we enrich their lives just as much as they enrich ours Lindsay is doing such a great job in the deli just want to let corporate management know what worldclass service I received from Kaye on my express lane order last week we were helped by two people in the Delhi section they went above and beyond with customer service Carol always does a great job making subs this sounds like our customer Jennifer and her husband you know they come every Friday it's just really a positive experience when you've got people coming back mission accomplished we have this amazing guy that comes in our store every week and is just really become part of our team it's going to be his 14th birthday we want to do a surprise birthday party we walked in and everyone was lined up they had signed and there were balloons and cake and how often do you go to your grocery store and cry and this time I cried three times to have that kind of community you you're going to shop and it has become like weekly family those type of moments is just what it's all about and you know it doesn't get any better than that it makes me feel like I'm doing my job that's my number one goal is this real yeah it's a real thank you so much to whoever did this I appreciate it and it means a lot when I think of Harris teer friendships come to mind this is my manager Teddy my rock for what I'm going through right now forette uh she has cancer and her hair was dropping he had me come into to work one day he goes come in I have something for you and I walked in and he took his hat off and he had shaved his head I was amazed and awe it he made me Tey working with Teddy is awesome makes me laugh makes it worthwhile to go into work I've never had support like I do here and uh it's like a second family to me so yep our purpose of enriching extends beyond the stores we have had countless volunteers show up to give their time to a range of philanthropic initiatives that Harris Teeters supports we offer an annual Roundup program where our customers get to choose what initiatives they are passionate about we know it's not easy for everyone to give their time so rounding up their purchase gives them an easy way to give back to our communities know we are with them and for them a group of our leaders went to volunteer time at a food pantry up north and during their 3-hour shift the food pantry ran out of product to give the community they decided to take it upon themselves to go back to their locations and get enough food to rebuild that food pantry so that the community wouldn't go without this is the type of leaders that we employ that's how we we enrich lives of our communities har enriches lives of the community by providing food for uh for them at the stores and also providing donations to food banks and donations to the Local Schools we are super proud that Harris teer has been such a fabulous partner of ours for all these years I know how great the Associates at Harris terer are because I shop at haris teer and what I want to say is thank you there will be people because of your efforts that will have a meal that they may not have had a meal enriching lives is our purpose this is why we come to work day in and day out with a goal to be better every day and we make sure every voice is heard we lead with Integrity always we stand for each other's success we are all in it for the same purpose a purpose that has and will continue to make Harris Teeter and its people so exceptional Harris teer is the best place to work can't imagine working anywhere else I want to build a career with
