This is not your traditional grocery store. The Dollar General in West Hempfield Township is the newest chain store to add fresh produce to its shelves, which shoppers say and a produce is really fresh. The produce is actually amazing. And as a discount store, consumers say the prices for these products fit the bill. I can honestly say when I went in there, I was surprised I could get cherries for $2 like they're like 499 a pound at the regular supermarket. When comparing the West Hempfield dollar General produce prices to the nearest grocer giant food stores. Prices were considerably higher ranging from a dollar 50 to $3 more.
