[Music] so apparently tyer with TT Star Wars movie is not happening he has been fired from Lucas film uh it's not happening also kathen Kennedy has been cathine Kennedy um Leslie Hedland has been completely fired as well from Lucas film um yeah I mean that's kind of the main headline to be fair so we'll just take a look this is from uh Matt McGloin over on Cosmic Book News who a lot lot of people will discount this instantly but just wait because there has been some good reporting from this website um it's not their exclusives are not you know their track record is closer to being you know there's more positive than there is negative on the uh exclusives I'm very tired and I'm I'm on painkillers so excuse my weird stuttering okay deal with it um conversations that this individual has had with insiders at ComiCon has informed him that Tao with is definitely not doing a Star Wars movie at Lucas film you you don't reckon culture no I believe that no I believe what he's saying and mloy gets it right more often than not so but yeah I look at this and I I truly believe it based on some of the statements coming out of Tao with uh in some of the later articles and interviews that he Dido closer to this year at the end of 2023 I think he was kind of setting up the idea that um maybe he wasn't going to have a Star Wars film after all um I I think the blooms off the rose um and uh were about to find out why yeah yeah so uh this individual says previously tweeted about it mentioned in with the rumor that Marvel may have removed reg brav New World director blah blah blah it was also told by The Insider that Leslie Hedland is done at Lucas film which makes sense you know can see that as well uh and a lot of this is to do with sort of Thor the general sort of vibe and things like that so insiders told this Matt McGloin that the reason Tao witht is no longer doing a Star Wars movie at Lucas film is because of what happened with Thor love and thunder he was told that white Titi didn't finish Thor love and thunder and it was it was a complete disaster and that Marvel gave him the boot from the movie wasn't told whether or not a new director came in to finish the movie it sounded like Marvel finished it themselves which you I mean you could do because their movies are not exactly difficult to finish are they no they're cookie cutter and most of the action scenes are done prior to like you know finishing the film so I mean a lot of the CG I action things that are you know those are ready to go you know or we need this character to fly through here and land here for this shot uh it says this I was it was also told that wititi didn't finish the re-shoot and the Final Cut of the movie I was also told that Marvel had a really difficult time putting together the Final Cut of Thor love and Thunder and the Insiders you could tell told him that Marvel kept running into issues with continuity with the story they would get to certain parts but didn't know whether where to go to next couldn't sync things up right with TT even admitted they struggled through the edits and right up until the end what you got in theaters was apparently the best version so as a result with TT is out at Lucas film and not doing a Star Wars movie anymore what what what's your thoughts on all of that then I'm not surprised um I I I've never really thought that he was what he is I think he's great with his own material because I think he has a vision beginning to end I think when he takes something else he tries to make it his own kind of like Leslie hedin did with the acolyte so I think that yes they probably had issues with continuity they probably also are having issues with continuity because they don't wait for a completed script and stick to it it doesn't help so but uh yeah he is more of an aour you know do his own thing guy than he is a you know play nice with things kind of guy which is how we ended up with the version of Thor that I thought was rather detestable after you know Ragnarok which I thought he did well with but you know that should have been a planet Hulk combination film rather than what it turned into yeah yeah that yeah wasn't particularly great um oh I also you have to remember if you can recall and I I covered this in the video I did on this subject very quickly Mr H and you will remember this um Tao with Titi was having a three-way trist apparently with r I think that came out publicly out of Australian press right yeah I think so yeah so um yeah I don't think that looked good to Disney I think I think Disney's having some trouble with some of their people that they hire and they're being embarrassed by maybe their uh their their only friends accounts [ __ ] s oh dear hold the Mayo on that one I guess you know anyway yeah I think um you know what it's such a shame as well isn't it right like you've got an actor like Chris Hemsworth who takes the physicality of the role Thor very very seriously having to work with this clown who doesn't take the character seriously remotely like Thor and Chris Hemsworth deserve a better movie a more serious movie movie what this clown can do uh and like that's that's someone I'm someone that likes tyo witi movies right when he's doing his own thing those films have majority been actually pretty good they're actually pretty decent or flag means death I mean I can go through a list of stuff that um he's good at um you know what we do in the shadows um I mean JoJo rabbit was brilliant yeah yeah yeah good film good film um yeah I mean I I he was never a good fit for Star Wars though was he what a weird fit what a weird fit for Star Wars yeah and didn't he only get that because he did the work in the Mandalorian as the robot yeah is it an I8 Droid is it an I8 i88 yeah it was it wasn't i88 but it was one of them IG yeah that was the original that wasn't who he was he was a different IG no I know oh ig1 sorry no yeah what there's one of them I don't remember he's going to look it up now I am looking at up yeah ig1 says all off so all right whatever po yeah yeah whatever ig1 um but that that's pretty much how he got in with Lucas film was just doing a voice voice over like what lame man lame I'm glad he's gone again don't think he's good uh his own properties that He makes himself that's good he's good like that but yeah I mean he came out and said that he only did the Thor movies for a uh for a paycheck to feed kids like he wasn't even interested terrible stuff terrible stuff and that would be the same deal with the Star Wars movie he'd just be doing it for a paycheck he needs to do stuff where and most all directors do to be fair need to do stuff that they're actively interested in which is difficult to do I understand because you've got to take jobs for money um but people's talents are better served in something which they're actively interested in it seems clearly you'd think that was not rocket science but it seems to be anyway closing thoughts G I've I've talked enough closing thoughts um he will not be missed uh he probably had little chance of creating anything that would have felt like Star Wars which I think is really important for anything that's future Star Wars I I think I think in order to bring Star Wars back to life you need somebody that understands what they're doing and I don't think he does yeah yeah yeah yeah agreed agreed um so Kath and Kennedy you're fired not cathine Kennedy is fired Kennedy says you're fired Kath Kennedy should be fired well actually uh some news on that front a rumor broke out uh in a couple of different places that lends us to believe that she may not survive beyond the second quarter of next year that's that's that was always the case it was 2025 but it wasn't guaranteed that she would leave but it's not guaranteed now it's just no it's not but the rumor came out it's interesting who from well Pro and some other places with different similar rumors they covered it they covered it this morning I I've been busy I've got got I've been doing a lot of stuff today well yeah with your your with your foot date that you gave everybody my foot date my
