Donovan Edwards comes into the season as Michigan's lead back but k m last weeked Carri yardage everything else do you feel that Michigan should utilize Edwards more as a I think they need to utilize him to his skill set to his ability he's great as a receiver he's great he he's thrown passes he's great on the edges he's great in space so they need to utilize his playmaking ability and what he's good at his strengths they need to incorporate it within the offense so he can be successful we need to put him in position to have success and that's getting him the ball on the edges where he can use his speed where he can use his one cut ability and make explosive plays cuz they're going to need that explosion in the offense not only tomorrow but throughout the whole season how difficult is it when you're a running back like him that's had a lot of success and you know you've had all these big big games and everything but yet in some of these other games you can't seem to break through and just kind of get held back there man It's just tough as a running back um you know it's not always going to be block the right way when you get sometimes the the blocking scheme will be different when another running back's carrying the ball you know some you might somebody might miss blocks you know this is part of being a runner you just have to stay patient you have to stay committed and you have to control what you can control and that's your attitude that's your demeanor on every single play coming out the Huddle and he's done a great job of that overcoming adversity um growing maturing as a back and he's a great player and um I think the team just needs to do a great job of putting him in position to have success cuz he has great game breaking ability big explosive play ability and that the offense is going to going to need that and um Donovan has done a great job of growing and maturing as a player and he'll show it throughout the season I do one quick follow up uh K mullings what did what did you see out of him in week one and what when you're a linebacker switching to running back like H how does that work and how can that be beneficial for him I think linebacker and running back are very similar they're basically the running backs of the defense you know they kind of got to beat patience see the hole hit the hole and um obviously he's made a done a great job transitioning over he's just a physical back uh they can turn around hand it to him and um he can wear down the defense soften up the defense and that's when you can utilize you know Donan to come in and have explosive plays later or play action pass um that's the running game is going to be critical for Michigan so khle Mullins getting Donovan Edward going if the running game could be efficient and effective for Michigan they'll be able to have success in the game especially with the inexperience at the quarterback it it'll help him not have to play a perfect game so they definitely need K Mullins they definitely need Donovan Edwards off line need to get going so this offense could be productive tomorrow
