[Music] on to the Big 12 the most exciting conference in college football because this race is just gonna be so unpredictable so many twists and turns I mean this this conference is probably my favorite Power conference now because of just the collection of teams are just so much fun and they actually somewhat regionally make sense somewhat uh yeah teams are a little tough you you randomly have West Virginia and then the northernmost team is what Cincinnati either Cincinnati or West Virginia yeah um oh wait no no Iowa Iowa State's like way up there oh okay well never mind but like so you have Iowa State Cincinnati and um uh and then randomly UCF out of nowhere and then West West Virginia everything else kind of makes sense though yeah yeah I mean like everyone else is is is close together and it's gonna be just a lot of fun yeah um jumping right in though sleepers I have uh UCF um I think KJ Jefferson is going to take what he had good for him um in Arkansas and then take it up a notch at UCF and despite it being a very competitive conference I think um I think they're gonna surprise some people oh yeah I like that one I I was thinking about UCF myself um ultimately I end up going with TCU because so many teams have be mentioned as a sleeper in this conference and TCU is not one of them um them being what two years removed from losing in the national championship yes and that is because you know like after you come off a national championship you know all the guys are on you and then basically everything that TCU did well to make the championship went wrong for them to fall in year you know last year they started losing one score games the offensive line wasn't as good they were losing the turnover battle like all these things turned like just took a complete 180 flip I think a lot maybe not everything but a lot of those things will turn back in a direction um you know Josh Hoover their quarterback kind of got trial by fire last year when he got thrown in um when injuries happened if he can stay healthy throughout the whole year he's gonna be pretty good because he started playing good late in the year like I didn't even realize um the Oklahoma TCU game at the end of the year happened but like he put up like 45 points of what was a pretty good Oklahoma defense um so like you know he tore it up there late in the year after really struggling for a while um you know the offensive line they they brought in some guys from the portal to help address it I also think they're just back to being bigger meteor men bigger meteor men like they needed up there and you know they made some changes on the defense to improve that side of the ball I think they'll also just get better at forcing turnovers as well yeah um bust candidate we both um picked Kansas State uh I think Justin for reasons uh because Chad and I may have Cyber Bullied him no I'm fairly certain that you pick them because we bullied you last year about ranking them um but my reasoning is Will Howard isn't anything to really look at uh in terms of a quarter back in my eyes but uh he was the only thing keeping this team afloat so now that he's gone I think they come crashing back down to earth well I mean don't overlook Avery Johnson like they kicked with Will Howard out because they liked what they had in him but I think he's still very young he's an electric Runner but he needs some development as a passer and this goes into why I now have them as a boss um you know he needs a work as a passer and the offensive line is a concern um you know they're they're basically replacing everyone up front and then finally the other reason is because you know I looked at them compared to a lot of the other teams I liked in this conference and you know like they they play a pretty tough they play a Road schedule that can really trip them up in a bad way um you know just a lot of different tricky environments they aren't used to playing in could also um you know mess up their season and put them blow some of these other teams have in contention yeah so our conference Championship I have the Utah Utes over the Kansas Jayhawks Utah is turning into one unit of a program and they're pretty deep um they return quite a few starters um I think I think this is how they start trying to compete with the top programs they went from uh like what 15 years ago um maybe a little bit more than that being a program that Urban Meyer was trying to bring up now they they're there and I think um I think it's like one of those NCA dynasties that you're like whoa where the heck did they come from that's kind of Utah you just kind of they just slid under the radar because they were living in USC Shadow Oregon Shadow Washington Shadow for a little bit now they don't really have any of them to compete with and I think that they just take this conference and they're like look here Sunny this is our conference now Kansas I like Kansas they um what what's his name jayen Daniels yes Jaylen Daniels not confusing Jaden Daniels so that Tri me up quite a bit early last year um jay lynn Daniels I think is gonna have a sell year um but just come up short against the UTS by the way while uh while I'm talking about Utah I kind of want to spend like 15 years in my college football 25 just making Utah versus Utah State the biggest rivalry in sports oh yes that would be a lot of fun yeah oh that'd be awesome and then both games like you had the mountains in the background um you know they're they're actually finally Reviving that rivalry this year um Utah is playing at Utah State which is really cool yeah um that's enough college football 25 talk people didn't come here to specifically hear us talk about that they may they may have come for tidbits um yeah Kansas I like I like a lot of what they have um my what kept me from putting them in the conference Championship game was I'm still worried about Jaylen Daniels making it the full season because he hasn't yet you know like he's been electric when he plays but can he manage to play all 12 regular season games that's gonna be the big question if he does the schedule sets up real nice for Kansas to make a run but that's not what I have I have Oklahoma State over Utah um Oklahoma State just has a ton of experience back olly Gordon one best players in college football with a very non inspiring quarterback class this year Oly Gordon does have a realistic shot at winning the Heisman I agree obviously he he has a DUI as a bit of a black eye on him um so you know I know that could hurt the voting for him but I mean this team just you know the offensive Line's one of the best in the conference uh you know the defense is going to be impr improved like I I was amazed that there wasn't more excitement around them until later this off season because yeah this team's gonna be one of the best teams in the conference I mean Mike Gundy you know he's gonna be one of the best coaches um you know his team's always gonna be good and yeah they're GNA be right in the mix it was tough to pick against some of these other teams they're like Arizona uh you know our wagon um with faf and T-Mac there like those two are going to be the most electric wide receiver quarterback combo in this conference but I mean they just you know obviously the coaching change just kind of hurts a little bit but I mean don't don't think the Arizona is gonna fade completely out yeah this team's gonna be right in it until the end they uh were one two in Heisman um in college football 25s like for their time together like the entire time they were together uh love that they're so good in the game yeah but sucks for UC hopefully it's cheaper to get in yeah I know right um yeah I mean you know this is a Cincinnati show like we might as well close out the Big 12 year talk about Cincinnati yeah what are your expectations for the season same thing as last year low um I think what they're going to do is they're probably going to get a little better in the Red Zone but I don't think they're going to get a whole much whole a lot better um it it did worry me that Dante cor Leon um I it did worry me with the blood clots he had um but I guess it's taken care of because I really haven't heard much since he got I guess he got cleared again play so um I don't know what that was about I haven't heard a whole lot about it since it really didn't make big news it just kind of came out in like a couple like bigger people uh tweeted about it and then nothing else since um right they're their games are a lot of fun to go to so like if you go to a game that I don't plan on going to then you should definitely go and um and enjoy the game uh if you decide to go to a game that I'm going to then just stay out of my way um uh the traffic getting there uh it it sucks but um nippard stadium is a beautiful stadium so if you're ever passing through and got a chance to look at it it's it's pretty dope um yeah it's one of the few stadiums where you can just walk in at any time yeah uh a few years ago I worked near nippard stadium and um I would get grab my lunch and either eat it in the stadium or I would eat it and then just go chill and that's when FC Cincinnati was um playing there so then they would be like warming up or they'd put the they'd be putting the turf down for uh for soccer very cool yeah so yeah that's my expectations of Cincinnati this year yeah yeah it's it's hard to tell I mean you know they just yeah uh um you know execution key Downs is a huge key for them and we're not confident that's going to happen I just don't think they really have the offensive Talent yeah I think they have the defensive Talent still I think they can keep that going but I just don't think they did enough offensively uh their running back's really good um but I outside of him I don't maybe a receiver or two I think they lost like half their receivers um but I still think they got a good one um I don't even know who their quarterback is this year be honest with you on that likely Indiana transfer Brenan sorby but um I think they have an internal candidate kind of pushing them for the job I don't think that it's going to be that hard uh I think that they're going to I think that if we if we at 32 years old wanted to walk on to UC then maybe we could compete for quarterback as well Matt that's probably not the case I mean we are we are well past our primes at this point my Prime is just beginning you see this you see this Justin you see you see these perfect this perfect beard angle nah you would even make the practice squad tackling d I mean I'll take that yeah I mean the only role I think I could ever take is like it would be funny to be that one per the one normal person in the Olympics that goes up against the real Olympic people so that they you know people can tell how hard it is uh I feel like you would be that guy but I think I could would I think I could maybe not in the speed category I'm not really that fast but I feel like in a lot of other categories I could probably hold my own for a little bit depending on who it is yeah neither one of us is that fast I would get toasted if I was a corner but yeah um but yeah that wraps up the Big 12
