and we're going to talk about the biggest game of the WNBA slate a four game card but everyone's going to be watching the Chicago Sky hosting the Indiana Fever The Ticket uh from what I saw prices are astronomical to get into win trust Arena home of the sky and the depal BL nean men's and women's basketball teams and this one is huge because Indiana is looking to get to 500 for the first time All Season since they started Z and zero they have not had a record at 500 and they come in 15 and 16 while the Chicago Sky 11 and 19 barely Clinging On to the eighth and final playoff spot with 10 games remaining this game will be available to you nationally on ION so check your local listings it tips at 7:30 eastern time and is the final meeting of the Season between the two Rivals and make no mistake it is a rivalry Caitlyn Clark against Angel Reese they play together on the WNBA Allstar team they will play together down the road on the US Olympic team but right now both are in the running for the Rookie of the Year with Kiton Clark had despite all the double doubles that angel Reese has notched and uh you know scoreboard plays and right now Reese's sky has won two of the three meetings that these teams have played so if she can win three out of four that might offset the fact that Caitlyn Clark's fever have a better record and uh she has done really well both of them have uh since coming back from the Olympic break Indiana 4 and one since returning from the Olympic break they lost a game 90 to 80 to uh the Minnesota links whove had a fantastic season but they've had wins over the Phoenix Mercury the Seattle Storm uh and the Atlanta Dream on the road and most recently they beat the Connecticut Sun the other night 84 to 80 really impressive win uh the only thing that went poorly for me on that game is that we did not get to 165 points falling just short because uh Connecticut basically gave up after a Miss three from D Carrington decided not to foul Caitlyn Clark and the game went under by a point in this one the total is set at 164 164 A5 it opened at 163 three and a half and uh 5 and A2 were the uh was the opening number for Indiana laying that those points on the road it is now 6 and a half seven and the reason why is that Kennedy Carter has been ruled out to the health and safety protocols she's been ill the last few days in fact earlier this week uh Chicago couldn't even practice because they had so many players out sick and so they played against the Washington Mystics the other night was a seesaw battle and ultimately the Chicago Sky lost at home and the mystics won 74 to 70 despite 10 points 11 rebounds six assists and three blocks from Camila cardoo who's getting better and better Carter didn't play in that game so they have some experience going into this one playing without their best player their top athlete you know Angel ree obviously gets all of the pub uh but since they traded Marina ma the Chicago guy has relied on Kennedy Carter's contributions on both ends of the floor and those will be missing here obviously Kennedy Carter went got onto the national stage even though she's been a standout player in the W in the past due to her cheap shot her around the world against Caitlyn Clark the first time these teams met way back on June 1st uh and the sky ended up winning that game and the fever got revenge a few weeks later and picking up a victory there remember that the Indiana Fever started the season 1 and8 and they're still just six and 11 on the road uh only Washington at 5- 11 and the Dallas wings and LA Sparks at 2 and4 have worst Road records than the fever but the sky have the second wor or the worst home record in the WNBA uh they really have struggled and they're one and five since since returning from the Olympic break they've lost to the Mercury by 20 on August 15th lost to the aces by two last Sunday on the Asia Wilson uh buzzer beater right after Carter hit a huge three that looked to be sending that game into overtime they've lost at Phoenix by 18 at Connecticut by two and then most recently as I mentioned to Washington and in that game Michaela on muy started and led the way with 15 points they used Lindsay Dan Evans marah Jefferson who came over for from Connecticut in the marina ma deal and Rachel banam as well got some minutes banam also a three-point specialist that came over in that mabery deal and mabery has played well against Indiana in those first three meetings you had 15- n 22 and three and most recently 65 and four but Chicago chose to rebuild without her uh Caitlyn Clark in games against the Chicago Sky her her first one was a little quiet 118 and6 in the onepoint loss in the win she went for 23 8-9 and most recently in a onepoint loss she went for 176 and 13 and uh that game most recently was played in late June it was a Chicago win at home by a single point uh and uh it was uh notorious because the sky won 88 to 87 as Angel ree won uh SN the 8484 tie with 53 seconds left on layup but then uh Leah Boston missed a a late shot Wallace also missed a layup that she could have hit and uh Caitlyn Clark did not even attempt a shot in the final 219 so chrisy sites sides had a a lot of criticism directed her way over that loss but things have been great for the fever since then so with the number now at 6 and a half seven I want no part of uh playing these points with Indiana even though they are the better team without Carter in the mix and even though the sky have been a notoriously bad uh home team I think that the play here is on the under I think with uh the Personnel that Chicago is going to employ to try to overcome uh Kennedy Carter's absence they'll look to do so uh hang in this game by defending by rebounding which they do extremely well they won the board battle against Indiana two with three games and we'll see a lot more of diamond to Shields who played 15 minutes last time out and will probably get the Clayton Clark assignment since she's such a Dynamic Athlete uh Angel Reese her rebounds total for this game is set at 14 and a half I want nothing to do with that because it's so inflated but Reese against Indiana has had games of 8 and 13 11 and 13 and most recently 25 points and 16 rebounds and as I mentioned the go-ahead bucket in the final minute camil cardoo has also fared really well against Indiana she had 15- n in her first game and that was uh just after her debut she had 10- 10 and 16- 10 most recently so it would not surprise me if uh cardoo comes up with a double double if you want to ride her points rebounds and assists uh I would be on board with that too I would stay away from Angel Reese's numbers just because they're so inflated Caitlyn Clark's uh points rebounds and assists are 34 and a half for this game and again she uh did Eclipse that in two of these last three meetings against uh the Chicago sky but I think this one will probably have a slower Pace with Carter not around to score as easily as she does uh when she's right and Chicago is at their best so that's our play here for the wager talk TV YouTube channel we like the under on
