Anthony thank you. Well, we begin our focus on breaking the cycle of youth violence. Three teenagers and a ten year old are now recovering after being shot overnight by another group of teens. That's right. It happened around nine yesterday evening at a home on Collier Street, which is over in southeast Houston. And that's where we find Fox 26 Jade Fleury, Jade. Yeah. The victim's father tells us that those teen suspects came all the way back here from Brays Bayou to the home before killing. Or excuse me, before shooting his four grandchildren. And he says that those teens threatened to force their way inside and kill everybody in the home. Otro otro. Jose Corona's home riddled with bullet holes. Thursday night, three masked teenage suspects opening fire on his family, injuring his four young grandchildren. They pushed the door and started shooting the children. Barona says the children's mother saw the teens coming to their home with guns and told everyone to go inside before they opened fire. Barron's identified the victims as four siblings a 16 year old, a 15 year old, a 13 year old and a ten year old, all of them taken to the hospital, one of them in critical condition. One teen was hit in the stomach. The teen, older than him, was hit in the leg and they say they can't remove the bullets because it's lodged between nerves and bones, and it can affect them, Barona says. Another grandchild was shot twice, once in the groin and another in the leg. The youngest child was shot in the calf with a bullet passing through her leg. I saw my grandson was grabbing his stomach and saying, I'm going to die, I'm going to die and trying to fall to the ground. According to family members, there was a conflict between one of the suspects and a teenager in the family. The grandfather says his grandson is familiar with the individuals who carried out the shooting. Those kids probably knew each other, the victim and the perpetrator. Community leader Damian Walker works with underserved communities and violence intervention. He emphasizes that community involvement is crucial to reducing youth crime rates. It starts actually with the community that those people are in, and it comes down to the churches, it comes down to the schools, it comes down to law enforcement.
