I'm sure you've heard the news a shooting at Omaha Northwest High School has left a community in shock during lunch hour a 15-year-old boy was critically injured in a shooting that took place at Omaha Northwest High School a 14-year-old suspect was quickly apprehended by law enforcement thankfully the victim has since stabilized this incident is part of a disturbing trend of school shootings Across the Nation following a recent tragic event in Georgia where four lives were lost the frequency of these events has reignited debates of about gun control although meaningful legislative changes remain Out Of Reach authorities believe this was an isolated incident between the two students in response the school district cancelled all evening activities and closed the school for the following day with plans to resume classes soon our hearts go out to everyone affected let's hope for a future where schools are safe havens not sites of fear and violence
