the performances can be can be better uh but I think it it's um even better feeling than that we have gotten the results and we know that we have to work on things but um we can we can only uh do better which is good so we will keep working and uh do better T of our season so far really um you know both away games we we should have come away with a lot more than what we have um played well controlled the game for the most part yeah they were threat obviously at different times particularly in transition but um certainly had enough chances to to win the game comfortably how you get the results I think indicate how you're successful you're going to be long term so we know that we've got a lot of work to do we know we've got things to improve but running through the squad I think we have characters and leaders and players with extreme ambition to to do well and yeah I think you can see the collective spirit in the performance as well and thanks to join us uh you must be wondering how we didn't win that let alone lose it yeah look um sort of similar to our first away game um you know we certainly um should have got the more out of the game than obviously what we have and um you know again it was a tale of sort of controlling the game for the most part creating a number of chances and uh not taking advantage of that you know in in the days ahead when when you break it all down what what sort of things are you looking for from that game to sort of turn performances like that into into wins not too much different apart from the end product I guess and um I said it's not an easy place to come to you know the supporters here create a really strong atmosphere for the home side they get little things go their way and you got to ride that tide and I thought we did that you know there's very few times where you know I felt we were at all under siege and you know play the game in a half you know there a couple of transition moments I thought we handled really well and then like I said the number of chances we C we should have really got something more happen yeah well it ended I'm sure you know but it ended 20 efforts on goal to their to their n yeah um and it wasn't just the 20 efforts I thought it was you more times where could have tested you know the CER even more so as I said it's been t a little bit so far but at the end of the day it's it's a good performance um you good football some um strong individual performances as well and we' got to we got to just keep uh banging that to just the last word you obviously Ru came in today how did you think he got on yeah I thought he did well I thought he handled it you know to a unique challenge here as I said um you know Crow sort of you know crowd all sort of um strong atmosphere and I thought he handled it well um you know they've obious got you know some threats up front particularly the space and a couple times I thought he handled it really well um so I thought you know it's a great experience for him I he's still only 22 and U he's going to play a big part in our season and um I think getting through that will will hold him in a good State thanks okay Brennan I guess from frustrations the name of the game today isn't it we played ever so well yeah I think we did and obviously that's what causes the most frustration today it was uh it was a good performance I think in terms of dominating the game which it doesn't get much tougher to come and do that here and at the end of the day We've Come Away with nothing which is really disappointing because the football that we played the CR we TR uh created sorry um yeah we just I think listen next he say we deserve to score I think we've got to be more clinical and better decision making but um yeah I think it's really hurts to lose today yeah exactly and performances like this here especially coming here and dominate dominating Newcastle look that that that paves well for the season to be fair yeah exactly I think in terms of performance again that's the only thing we can take now we can't keep dwelling on these games where we haven't scored enough goals and we've lost of course we're going to think about it and think about ways that we could have stopped them from scoring but I think in terms of the performance how dominant we were especially in that second half for large Parts I think that's the that's all we can take going into the next game really it's interesting because just after they scored I had to look at the stats and it was 20 shots to eight when they scored yeah and I think again that just shows how well we were playing I think um most of them weren't even pot shots either I think we were getting some really good opportunities P had a few from the edge of the box I think maybe a couple of them were a bit uh rushed good in mind I think on my right left foot it was definitely a bit rushed but yeah I think it just shows the amount of uh chances we're creating and again it just really hurts to say that we've actually only scored one goal today when we we've got to score more than that you must be wondering how we going home without anything yeah obviously um very similar I guess to to our first sort of away game where you know we controlled it for the most part um nullified most of the threats that you know Newcastle have I mean they not it's obviously a difficult opponent here at home um you know the the the crowd create a pretty strong atmosphere for the home side and things little things go their way but I thought for the most part we handled that really well um and then gain the ascendency in the game and you know we just needed to to to kill it off and we didn't and um disappointing second goal I thought we switched off a little bit but game should have been well over by then so uh another sore one unfortunately um where we haven't got the rewards for our play but um you know ultimately it's three strong performances for the first three games um the the results that reflect in that way some many blls kind of whipped across that sixy box again we really missing in actual strik oh um yeah potentially but I still think even outside of that we we we just had some really good opportunities a little bit more composure um yeah Fair played in Nick P I thought he had a outstanding game um but I thought we could have tested him a few more times with just some better decision making it's not just the opportunities we did create I thought there was another probably you know 6 to 10 moments where we could have created even more opportunities so um so yeah and like said that's been a sort of a constant theme um for us that we're trying to sort of break through drag yeah I thought it was good BR you know it was um it was a great opportunity to expose him I mean he's only 22 he's you know he's still a young man in terms of especially for a Defender and I thought exposing him to this atmosphere and the threat the particular threat that Newcastle plays with isach up front um he had to be you know um really concentrated I thought he was I think you know he's going to play a big part in their season I think him coming through that um yeah sort of that whole experience um will set him up well can I just ask about why you decided to take off S halim and bring on Johnson I think CU pep booked and like part of his game is's just really sort of stopping the opposition and on the flip side Lord Kelly had been booked as well so I just thought Brennan coming on and and sort of running after them I felt I just felt we we would sort of run over the top of them in the second half I got that sense just before half time and I thought you know if we can get the ball to our wide players um we can cause them some problems and um and it did it worked out that way but like I said we just didn't take advantage of it well lot of shots from outside the box is that something you've instructed your team to before the game no when opposition's defense so do it's pretty hard to get in there they got 10 bodies in there at times um apart from isach everyone else is kind of in there but you know we we kind of worked our way into that area pretty well but there was other times where we got even closer to goal in the box and I just like a little bit of composure which sometimes our positioning was off where we should have been U we W and um yeah we let them off the hook I mean the stats sort of show the kind of performance that Newcastle put in today and anyhow there how how you get the results shows whether you're going to be successful long term was was that just a case of needs must at the moment given the state they are in and the state of their opponent yeah yeah I mean it's been a busy all week for Newcastle I think as well off the pitch you know the owners are there today um obviously gay was supposed to come and didn't get it over the line and of course he started be crafting B Center halfday so I think Eddie sort of set up differently in a sense we would have to sit deep and and it's not like to protect them a bit to protect them because naturally I was a crafts of fullback and BNS play the last couple of Seasons the left back as well so obviously bop's a big Miss uh Sher was suspended today um but again they they're desperate for a center half and maybe a right winger as well but at the same time Ed house set his team up differently today to sort of sit in a sort of relatively low block and and sort of hit them on on the Counterattack at home which maybe the fans might not be used to it since James's Park how hard is it to to sometimes have to do something that is T ically going to work if it goes against what your home fans want well you have to have a belief in what you're doing um and at times you have to compromise and I think that's what we've seen from from Eddie today in a performance that wasn't well the last two or three years I think Eddie's been style has been defined by this very high energy High pressing team we exciting to watch but there are sometimes there are moments where maybe that's not firing not working maybe early season there are moments as sh mentioned there in terms of selection all of a sudden you got I have to compromise to protect and also have an eye on opposition and say well what's their threat and what can we do to them now one thing is to try and stop them I think they were quite lucky today at times we'll see that but they also know that in their attacking players that when Tottenham commit a lot of numbers forward so I think that was probably a game plan today considering where they're at at this moment in time and that and that's kind of what anre poog said afterwards in that Newcastle got the better of Tottenham in the transition MH well defensively there there was question marks over them defensively definitely today mark it was um you know this is a straightforward ball from from Nick pop you we look at the back four here they're not together there's no leadership in my opinion and and they should be together as a back four the two Center half should be pushed up and then you look at the front three of Newcastle they've got Pace they've got power and again it's just a clearance from Ni po up the field brilliant touch from Anthony Gordon but now they're in trouble you know they're tracing back to their own goal away from home of course and this is a warning shot again they're sitting in a low block but Barn just with a shot just wide of the post and and it's a warning for them now this is the first goal uh we highlight Romero here the center half who's your main Center half the main leader at the back he just goes on a mad one here I have no idea where he's going to be honest you know he chases chases down twice and then there's no reaction to get back into a defensive shape we highight Puma he's got to get back now and cover for his Center half cuz he sees isak's in a danger position now I think pume would be in the position where Barnes is if if if Romero didn't go on a on a mad one and he picks up Barnes and and they don't score so again it's about leadership at the back leadership as a team and defensively you know this is danger we've seen this last year we taught them the high Lane now Alexander eack one of the quickest Strikers in the Premier League Mark and and to give him that much space I don't think it's a ball down the side now he's at your nearly fre 1 V one I think if he gets his head up and squares us to Barnes It's a another tap and this is too easy on the transition for sure for Tottenham and and Angel have to sort of take some of the blame himself this one's Madison Joel Linton turns him well but I think Madison at this point is on a yellow car so can't really drag him down probably should but look at the highl G Tottenham it's Madness I mean Murphy's sort of in a in a sort of sprinting position Romero's Square onto the ball which is terrible as well and keep keep an eye on Romero's reaction as well he got to Sprint back and try and defend the goal again it's brilliant for Murphy of course and and and and pits it on a plate for esack again it's just it's all too easy but that's it's a brilliant goal from Newcastle but defensively you know Tottenham all over the place but if you're in that Tottenham back four whilst you may take that kind of criticism on board at the same time you may go well you lot further forward really could have scored a few more well I definitely could say that definitely could say that if if we're talking risk and reward or style of play Tottenham do stay true to thems El we know how they want to play and one one effective thing to do is get lots of players forward and then around the Box their fullbacks porro joining in all the time and we saw it was a an afternoon of lots of opportunities which they spurned for whatever the reason whether it be the execution the Finish or the decision making this this one here is I think his decision making in terms of he's got ah head that um and when that drops down there it's really hard to stay on top of the ball with with your knee there as he ends up doing you got running ahead that it's a it's a big big massive chance um but after that it was moments of getting a lot of numbers forward here and for whatever reason not getting the right finish Newcastle yeah a lot of bodies behind the ball but I don't think this was so much newcastle's good defending I think it was more Tottenham not making the most of those chances so from the manager's point of view he's right to say that they they had a big control of the game in terms of the chances they had this is a strange mve from son now I think when he is the one Striker number nine in the Box it might be because he's not an out andout Striker he he goes to the cut back he should be getting in a six Shard box so it was an afternoon of those things not quite going right for them and this is later on in the game again this is a decision roll him roll him in there and I I think he probably cutting and maybe getting a shot or across the face and then make those wrong decisions so as a manager I understand and as we say we know he will keep doing this but you do need your players at the top end of the pitch to deliver cuz if not and you're going to play the way and commit a lot of numbers and you're play them with that High Line and if individuals don't defend correctly like we saw then you'll lose games it's the Premier League a level of team as Newcastle a strong team hello and welcome along to the game between the um Tottenham hpur and the Newcastle United Newcastle is a good team but against the Tottenham that's very very annoying for the uh Tottenham that did not score the goal till now because Newcastle have reached at the end of the game and there is no such a goal from the from the Tottenham hot spers to the Manchester United so from that you can conclude how much this game is important as according to the uh title race so Newcastle has a lot of um has a lot of difficulties to face uh whom to face men to face to fa uh Newcastle United at the Newcastle stadium so Newcastle will face the Tottenham Hors at the St James Park Stadium and this is important to understand the clash between the Newcastle and the Tottenham hot spaceace and also if you look at the Clash the probability Newcastle has a probability of 40% to manage this game well if we look at the if you look at the match that at the SC James B stadium so Tottenham has the probability of just uh 30% to win this game while Newcastle has more chances to score the goal in that game so from that you can conclude that this game is important as the critical point of view so much states are 44 till now because 27 minute has been completed there is no such goal that has been scored from the Chelsea Tottenham and the Newcastle United side four shots four shots from the Tottenham hot spers shorts on Target Two for the uh new two for the Tottenham hot spers while n from the Newcastle United 62% position in the game for the Tottenham hot SPS well if we look at the G uh another side of 38% position in the game for whom for the Newcastle United side 135 passes in the game so far for the Tottenham hot 83% passes has been done in the game for the Newcastle United so the game is becoming crucial after 28 minut has been completed in the first half and there's no such shots on target from the Newcastle United side although the probability is much much different for the Newcastle against the Tottenham hot spell but hot spells make a good uh start up but what about the result will they score a goal and receive three points in the Premier League points table or not so see you in the next video byebye
