hey everybody hope your day is going well we are back with a reaction Barbara triand is singing You'll Never Walk Alone and this was at the 2001 Emmy Awards just one or two months after the September 11 attacks and today uh it's 23 years ago as of recording um this was also request by Donna thank you so much for this request and donation let's listen it is I still remember you know where I was when when those attacks happened you know I was 14 living in Belgium you know just going to school and I had a computer class in the morning that was the first class we had and I just remember that we because we had computers in the class you know there was only classroom with computers we could we were watching it over and over he just so real you can't fathom what happened we still can't 23 years later and um even though I was 14 and I I couldn't fully grasp what had happened but I knew that everything had changed being a child of a Muslim father I knew everything had changed of course for the families for the people who lost their lives for America but just for the entire world You'll Never Walk Alone man it's time to come together man but it's tough it's tough out there [Music] when you walk through a storm hold your head upart and don't be afraid of of the dark at the end of the stor there's a go and sky and the sweet s song of a love [Music] through the wind walk on through the rain th your dreams be TOs and blow [Music] [Music] W head up when you walk through a stor Hold Your Hand Don't Be Afraid of the Dark at the end of that storm there's a God and sky and a sweet silver the sweet silver walk through the wind walk through the [Applause] rain though your dreams be to and with hope open in your heart and you'll never your never through the through the you never walk home oh [Applause] [Music] hey that's Dominic keni right there played Uncle junr on The Sopranos and AA t we also got um Andy cptz from NYPD Blue oh damn I forgot the actor's name yeah my my mind is uh somewhere else right now what a performance it's um I couldn't even pause it like I usually pause once or twice but seemed proper to uh to let it run amazing singer you know very powerful voice we we've done a few reactions now to to her music and to her performances and yeah she's uh on a different level vocally and uh music can really be the great unifier and um unfortunately uh it takes one of these terrible events uh to bring us together and that only seems to last for for a short time doesn't it whether it U it's these horrible horrible U attacks or you know just a few years ago the pandemic it seemed like we were able to come together then you know sometimes you know uh even as as a as as the world not only as one country but as as as the world you know not you know man and division is not only it's it's going on in America right now but it's it's it's over here as well you know in Belgium politically uh a lot of division unfortunately because there's more to life than than just politics there's a lot more to life than just politics you know man it's a powerful performance can't believe it's 23 years it's still hard to Fathom that and what it is done man yeah You'll Never Walk Alone I hope we can uh unify even even this song is divisive in the football world you know but you know it's more fun in games there I hope uh maybe not so much in England the UK people can tell me that uh but man come on music can can really bring us together and uh it's better that way you know you're never going to agree on everything but that's fine you know isn't it Whatever happened they agree to disagree and shake hands and move on guess I'm naive guess I'm naive but anyway this was a great performance uh definitely going to be checking out more of her performances and I hope you will join me once again and uh thank you for being here thank you for being here I wish you a great day peace
