Three individuals are unaccounted for following a small plane crash in the Fairview neighborhood.

good evening and welcome to Prime news tonight we begin with a tragic story out of fair viiew where a small plane crash has left three people missing and a neighborhood in shock earlier today at approximately 10:20 a.m. a small aircraft crashed into a row of tow houses on Hartwood Circle just 3 minutes after taking off from the Troutdale airport the plane carried two individuals plunged into the residential area completely engulfing at least one home in Flames authorities have confirmed that the two people on board the plane and one resident of the town home hit by the aircraft remain unaccounted for Gresham Fire Chief Scott Lewis reported that search and rescue operations are ongoing but no fatalities have been confirmed at this time the port of Portland issued a statement acknowledging the crash but the cause remains unclear Air Traffic Control recordings indicate the plane departed without issue before the tragic incident occurred eyewitnesses described hearing a loud explosion followed by a fire that quickly spread through the crash site firefighters were on the scene within minutes working tirelessly to contain the blaze within a couple of of hours the Flames were extinguished but the damage was done five families have been displaced from their homes and the neighborhood is reeling from the devastation as the investigation into what caused this horrific crash continues the community remains on edge hoping for answers and above all the safe return of the missing individuals our thoughts are with the affected families as we await fur further developments in this heartbreaking story stay tuned to Prime news for more updates as they become available
