Friday Night Lights in SC: High School Football Week1 Highlights

lucky Murray here here here uh with another another week one high school football review show where we go and we review We review uh the scores that happened this week I talk about the game that was at the fountain in and Woodruff game it was a really really good game really really good game and we also just going to talk about what's going on next week some amazing things that happened this week during during um the week one so we going to get into uh the scores and and and and and situations like that Monday I'm going do my breakdown of the games and also talk about uh the week coming up uh so let's check the scores out and see what's going on around the area when it comes to high school football shall we so as we go back here man we going to look at all the um we'll look at all the scores for right now I right now I went to I went to the scores because the scores at the channel 7 was a lot more stable than it was on wff uh so Greenwood beat Buford 37 to 18 um Woodruff I mean excuse me Wade Hampton lost to Blue Ridge 21-4 Asheville School beat CCS 42 to Z boom boom defeat chesy 34-27 um this is School North Carolina East Henderson beats Madison 4 Z zero Ren which you think is going to be a Powerhouse in that 4A division that's the same division as fountain in uh beats easily 55-7 oh my God Travis Les Travelers Rest lose to Emerald 38 to Z Dorman loses to Grayson 53 to zero after the Dorman beats Greenville last week uh they laid a goose egg this week against Grayson then that's a school may be out of Georgia uh BHP which is going to be a Powerhouse oh my God uh beats GRE 37 to7 I thought that game that GRE was going to struggle and that was something that I uh found out uh Burns loses to irel 35 to 27 I think a quarterback that a coach Bran who coaches hero and he has a son AJ bran as well I think the game cops was looking at him as well uh so hero is rolling um they got things rolling down hermo South Carolina Gaffney and man right now it's 34 all JM man looking to secure a another winning season after they had a surprising season last year um so they trying to build things at jail man uh Keenan lost to peniton 12 to8 did not know that Keenan came all the way up here and played penon close to Clemson um Mountain View Prep which beat uh Souther uh South ch um that's uh southide Christian 49 to7 now Mountain View they're not in the South Carolina League they're not I don't know if if Mountain View purpose in South Carolina League I I think they're independent I'm not 100% sure but they're rolling right now but that's what you get a lot of times when you take uh kids and you and you you know you from these charter schools and you star to make your own charter schools and start to really get the kids around the area these good kids you could beat up on teams like Southside Christian U let me see some more 96 beats west shows 41 to 30 cica beats Woodmont 31-21 so we going to go back up here landram beats Berea 46 to six well it's the fourth quarter but that game is pretty much done Mar lose again the Bowling Springs 31- 12 uh they go out to um th then goes to M next week and that's going to be a pretty good game right there St Joe's uh is losing to Chapman 35 to 21 Lawrence loses to Clinton 35 to8 now that was a rivalry game right there Lawrence is going to struggle this year um this is coach Porter's first year but typically takes a year or two to really get your your people your system uh your identity within the program so they'll be fine um let me see Carolina loses to East Side 27 to Z that's another division that Fountain this in uh Woodruff uh that that score is over uh Woodruff uh and fountain in is uh it was 30- 27 wood won off a field goal so we'll talk about that game in just a second Riverside def is beating uh well defeat Greenville 42-9 uh Hill Crest stumped Clover 55 to 20 Liberty beat Southside uh 34 to 14 um Liberty lost to Fountain in so so that that that's going to be an interesting game with Southside plays fountain in uh Crescent is defeating PTO 21- 18 Abbyville uh is crushing powersville 53- 43 Dutch Fort beats uh spart andberg 24 to7 ffield Central 52 Union County six Walla defeats pickings 49 to 16 and West Oaks defeat clear do Charter 62 to 14 let let's talk about the game I was at this night um I was at the fountain end game and the thing about the fountain end game was this I can only speak about the fountain in game that I was at uh fountain in should have won that game but just like last week they started off 20 to zero um did not settle down at the beginning um allowed a lot of costly penalties they had an interception that they fumbled and it gave wood back to possession um they had a couple of costly penalties uh but they resiliant team and they fought back but when you're down 20 to zero and you're trying to come back man it is hard and they gave up a unsportsman like conduct that gave them uh woodriff plenty of opportunities to punch the ball in and to kick the field goal so hats off the Woodruff they won the game um they was out there in the crowd waving us goodbye I was joking around and said hey Woodruff is you know that way 20 minutes away and the McDonald's is open but I mean it's good fun man it's good fun it's not a region game so it don't hurt you that bad but you still want to have a pretty good record going into region play but I think the fountain will bounce back against Malden um they're looking like a much better team this week and I think that more is to come Hill Crest defeat let's look at the scores again I'm I'm going to go to wff because I think wff has uh the more updated scores to say the least because I I want to see the updated scores I don't want to give y'all anything that's not updated so as we go to the scores right here I'mma pull them up right now so let's see what's popping I'm sorry let's see what's good real quick like I said um GFF oh gath and J man is tied 34-34 excuse me um boom and chesty 34-13 Landrum is 46 to6 in the fourth quarter uh Woodruff I'm Excuse me Woodmont defeating cica 14-10 AC floor is losing the what the chaping that's a Whitmire is losing see let me see guys let me see Dorman okay Dorman lost to oh Lord Dorman we are talked about that let's see if anything changes right now Abbyville still whooping on well Abbyville Fe pow powersville Abbyville is a really really good school they're a 1A school but you you don't want to play Abbyville you don't want to play them boys down there uh almost to the coast of uh North Carolina uh I excuse me Georgia Riverside defeats Greenville Greenville is o0 and two um they are struggling to start the gates off after having a really really good team last year uh let's see if they come along landre Beast barer we talked about that with my uh defeat sparber Christian Academy I'm trying to see if anything else changed guys before we talk about some games right right quick I'm trying to see if where is Hillcrest okay so Hillcrest beats Clover so um so let's talk let's look at some teams real quick while we while we get this thing situated and as I'm talking I am I need to take off my um ad blocker so we can kind of talk real quick so we can look at some of these teams right here Hill Chris another team I follow right I think Hill Crest a real deal baby I think Hill Crest is going to is going to do well they're two and 0 right now and they are we going to look at their schedule real quick and see right now they beat Clover I think they'll beat Greer they will beat Malden Greenwood is probably where they would have trouble and right now Greenwood is 1 and0 they beat Buford and they play dorm next week which Dorman lost and I think that's going to be a game that so that's going to be the game right there where that that's typically from what I've seen the last four or five years Greenwood and hrrest has been a really really good game so I see as I'm going back here I see where that's their first you know that's their first test now let me see the region that they're in because the that's important that okay so that's a region game so Hill Crest Greenwood can they win that region it's tough you know T Hannah is a tough team JL man is rocking and rolling I think Mal is probably gonna be one of the bottom bottom Bottom Feeders right there easily probably be one of the bottom tiers um easily maybe as well but they have a chance to really secure and win a region and get to the playoffs right there I think Greenville is struggling so if you look at this region right here I think they could beat Greenwood they could beat ta Hannah I think they could beat jailman um EAS I think they could beat Greenville I think they beat so they looking like they can go maybe 10- two 11- one so that's a good game right there um who else I'm going look at the teams I'm following right now let's go to the Fountain and fury and the reason why these two teams I I kind of follow is because they're the two teams that's close to me right now and everybody else as I spelled the word wrong guys uh I just let me see I done talk on hold on guys I don't know what's going on I don't type in fountain in so as I'm looking at this and fountain in I I want to uh get that schedule a try too because I think this is the team on the rise right if you look at this schedule right now they lost to Woodruff which they should have beat Woodruff I think they could beat malen Carolina I think they could beat St Joe's that will look like if they do what they supposed to do that's uh one two three four that's four- one going into a region I thought they could be five and 0 but they they lost to Wood Lawrence I think they can win Ren I think is be a hard game west side I think it' be a hard game um Emerald they defeated they did not defeat them boys did they win last week no they two and0 who they beat they beat 96 so they play woodriff next week I can kind of tell what if Emerald do the wood D to see how that game would go even though you can't look at teams and be like all right if they beat them then we can beat them but it gives you indicator of what can happen uh they beat boom strong strong Thurman and they go into region play I think I think if I'm not correct I think in this region you have to be I don't know if it's top four it maybe top six so we going there for region one so it's one two three four five six they may they may you may need to be top four I think that you need to be in top four in this region because it's not like a bunch of teams so top four I think they could beat Southside I think they can beat Lawrence I think they could be one of the teams in thep top four who make the playoffs so I'm looking for fountain in to go into the playoffs this year first time ever in school history and I think Hill crash should make the playoffs too first time in school history as well um so with that being said if you look at all these different teams we have to look at when the matchup is over when the matchup is over uh what we can um see and and what story lines that we can build up because that's a lot of teams are doing a lot of great things a lot of players doing a lot of great things so um those are the scores it's been a great week when it came when it comes down to high school football I think that we are at a point now that once it gets the region play all bets are off I want you guys to remember doing non region play I'm not saying the games don't count but the games don't count towards playoff uh uh the playoff rankings the
