my name is Samar Whitney Jacque the water spirit now there's not beer and I'm working on my first play-fighting annalistic voice it's about a young indigenous woman who wakes up with stories to tell it's the stories about healing it's about relationships family the stories about my experiences as a young girl growing up and in my relationship with the water and the relationship that I have with the land and my family my name is Andy Mauro I'm a designer sonographer some people call me a designer Turk and this is a great example of when that title is appropriate because we're in the room together at the beginning with this amazing offering that natalie has made which is visual which his story which is language which is song and which is movement with are you here to help embody that movement but the roadmap we've been given by Natalie is so profound and so powerful that it really feels like we're just kind of helping to realize those images that have already been put in front of us in this amazing Orchestra retelling Natalie's words are so rich with imagery I remember reading this story for the first time about a month ago and just seeing the images come to life in front of me and that is a really rare gift with literature I find that that's something that I look for in work as somebody who creates movement who like sees the world in like blurs of colors and story and emotion I've always been a visual artist and I've always chanted but this gave me an opportunity to to bring my stories to life stories I've painted I find that I was appointed my life and I'm still in the point in my life where that my my stories need to be louder than a painting can speak and I wanted to bring our stories on stage I think it was time for us to bring our stories on stage for them to be heard through dance and movement and and song and this is what I've always want to do
