mediocre Bud trying to improve but apparently mediocre is just my lot in life I don't know what to do probably why I don't play the lottery I mean you figure you see I I I realized years ago that if a Kenny win a $2 scratch ticket then it really isn't worth my time to invest in like serious things like the Power Ball and stuff like that because let's get real don't yeah I don't I don't touch none of those power because I I know I'm never going to win I I already know that's why I don't do like even a lot of the I see some of my friends and I watch people on Facebook post to talk about these fanduels and DraftKings and this and that and how much they can win and I'm sitting there like man every time I try I don't I don't win anything I think the most what's the what's the most you've ever won betting period on anything I don't care what it is it was on there I think it had to be 50 bucks that was the highest but I got as high well it was the thing so it was one of those it was one of those uh fanduels um okay and basically my team was great going into the Sunday night game and it was a Steelers against who were they playing might have been Steelers and Bengals maybe or something like that but yeah you good um yeah so it was the Bengals and Steelers I believe and then I believe what happened was is um I was up going into there I was up into like the 250 range that I was going to win as far as money going into that game well I was still sitting there still sitting well all of a sudden like late in the fourth Antonio Brown gets a punt return he runs it back for a touchdown it took me from 250 all the way down to the 50s marks to get paid out for that because of him scoring I didn't have him on my team so everybody else that had him he got the touchdown points for that um which really knocked me down but no that's it I mean I I I try not to I don't get gamble very much or anything like that I'm not very when I go up to the casinos and stuff I'm not one to gamble either I told you I think uh and your Dad too the most ever won 800 bucks betting straight up folks uh no spreads just straight up win who's going to win who's going to lose football whatever week it was uh 800 bucks I I I got out of that but uh I wish I could I could claim knowledge but it was really just stupid luck that type well guys we don't Gamble and honestly you're not going to get any gambling tips from us guys because we we don't want you guys to lose your money then come back at us for for not giving you guys the you know the correct people to go for or anything like that so we we are not here for any gambling stuff okay so don't yeah Vegas definitely is not bringing down additional security if if Anthony and I show up in Vegas they they don't care exactly they want actually they want to see me there because cuz I'm going to I got to waste all my money I'm just giving it away giving away getting away cuz I'm thinking I'm going to win eventually I've seen this before right it's like it's the more money you put you got to win eventually right but it feel like you probably put all that money in just to get whatever you lost back when you hit the jackpot you know what real quick real quick folks real quick short story uh and then we'll get started I knew a guy Bud uh years ago he worked for the casinos up in Blackhawk and he told me he said you know slot machines Mike he said I'm right now they're not random it is all set it's set based on the weight of the machine and that's when it releases it has nothing to do with you pulling the pulling the handle and the the money just miraculously coming out it's all set you just got to be in the right the right side exactly exactly that's that's kind of what I thought to well guys it is time it is back the NFL is here college football is here we've already had a couple of games go um we had what we had the Chiefs in Baltimore playing Friday um and last night we had I mean uh sorry Thursday and then we had last night the Eagles and the Packers Mike what what were your thoughts of both these games let's go ahead and start off with the Chiefs Baltimore game obviously 2720 uh Lamar hitting likely in the back of the end zone there um but likely stepping out you know uh with that size 14 shoe of his uh wasn't able to stay in bounds but overall what did you feel about both teams uh which teams you know was anything surprising anything you know disappointing between the two teams what you know what did you think well tell the first thing I gotta say is uh Baltimore you know take heed and and and take into consideration Patrick's comments likely change your shoe color I mean I probably help you out a little bit don't wear black you know against the white Endzone lines I mean that's probably what cost you on that if You' have had white shoes they might let you get away with but uh as the game itself but uh you know it just shows what both teams are going to be capable of obviously Kansas City shows a lot of speed I mean good grief they show a lot of speed that's insane uh defensively you know looking like they're going to pick up uh both like you mentioned uh to me the other night that both teams obviously finished one two last season in defense at least in certain categories but uh you know and again but like we talked about this is why you know we've talked about you need to have these guys play a little bit more in the preseason we're not talking about full games but just a little bit more you got to get those reps it's going to we saw this with Baltimore's line you know and granted it's a it's a new it's a new rule but look what it cost them in yards and penalties and things like that because they're adjusting to the new rule yeah so it's those type of things but we saw some sloppy play but again if you're only playing you know a low percentage of three preseason games this is what's going to happen and it's going to take about week five for these all teams folks good bad whatever to reach whatever stride they're going to reach you know barring injury because the guys just have not played together and this is what you're going to get but still Kansas City Lights Out on offense uh you know Jackson you know he and Mahomes both had some mistakes but Jackson looks like he's going to be solid Henry's gonna I that's one thing I didn't understand about is and maybe it was a game plan thing they were worried about with Casey's defense you know they they used Henry early and then they just basically kind of went away from him kind of like they did in the playoff game last year I'm not understanding uh Baltimore's philosophy with this I think that's got to change and now that you got this stud guy at running back you got to get this guy going you can't just give him five carries and expect this this guy takes a while it doesn't come automatically you got to give him a chance to get in Rhythm and start wearing defenses down so hopefully they'll look to do that but uh I think both teams show obviously a lot of promise Baltimore had a chance to at least tie the game you know and send it in potentially overtime if they wanted to go for the win they could um but uh well I'll tell you what Kansas City looks pretty freaking scary yeah so for me I I I thought both teams had you your spot on about the penalties here uh they both looked like they just weren't in sync to start the game um B Baltimore kind of did look in sync actually that first drive I will give him that I was very very impressed by the first drive I mean they took up what like half the first quarter pretty much um great Drive showed off the Run game that they that looked like it was going to be pretty dominant uh justice Hill was nice out of the backfield making some good plays and then and then like you said they just kind of got sloppy after a while right it just felt like nobody was in a groove on anywhere you know can Kansas City's over here grabbing on the defensive sides getting defensive pass interferences you know Stanley's getting all these illegal procedure penalties and the other thing is how does that not get fixed after the second time right it went on three four five six time like how does that not get adjusted right that needs to be adjusted in game like right there and and I they even said in the game you can even hear harah saying hey what you know just tell him to move up or tell him whatever he needs to do that's exactly what it should have been it should be you should be able to look down at your players and see that your your guys are all level and if not then move to where you need to be but other than that I thought Lamar and Patrick pretty much played a really good game um on on both sides they both played the games that they wanted to 122 rushing yards for Lamar on the ground I mean it seemed like they just had no answers for him when he was trying to run the ball uh Henry was a little uh surprising I thought maybe he would get a little bit more um on the ground game but uh they they seem to have a pretty good game plan for him which is why maybe Lamar was able to open up a little bit more with his yards but then that's kind of the two-headed monster that you kind of worry about right um is it going to Bear is it GNA be Henry yeah but like like we were talking about you know I think last night or Thursday night um well last night obviously um this is this is what you brought Henry in for I know Lamar dropped the weight good thing obviously Mason little bit faster but you're also you lose the weight you know those hits become a little bit more impactful and it's it's it's going to take its toll if you keep doing this this is why you brought this guy in because you don't need to have I'm sorry if you're going to have Travis out there or or you know Henry out there you can't have Lamar running for 120 yards in a game like that it's not you know it shouldn't be necessary I think they'll tweak that they'll make it work again five games in you know all teams should find what whatever Rhythm they're going to have and with Harbaugh as a coach they'll figure out the adjustments but Baltimore is a scary football team that's a scary football team yeah yeah yeah because they they showed some good stuff on on the defensive side like you mentioned Kansas City had so much speed but there were times that those defensive backs were keeping with them they were knocking down passes um kind of pushing off the block there um and they did real well uh it was just a little bit too much Kansas City just had a little bit too much I feel like there was just a little bit too many more mistakes um from Baltimore uh I mean not just the fumble but even Tucker missing a field goal right we're not used to seeing that from him he's usually putting money no matter where he's at on the field but recently last year what they put the I think the stat up he was like one and five uh one for five from the 50 and plus Mark or something so he's still he he seems to be you know regressing a little bit but he's still Justin Tucker right I mean he's still going to be money um I don't expect him to miss any Miss more you know I mean I think he's going to get better he's going to learn from it but those were the little mistakes that happened right but in the same time this like you said this is going to show exactly how dominant Baltimore can be or how good they could be because they were literally inches away from winning this game tying this game whatever it was going to be I know Harbaugh was you know motioning to go for two a for two and win so I think it would have m i mean either way they probably losing or winning but you it came by inches regardless so the fact that Kansas City played a pretty great game um Pacho looked good uh not much with Kelsey though we didn't hear a lot of Kelsey's name but they that but that's the thing right maybe Kelsey doesn't need to be that guy anymore would they have you know the the stud worthy uh that speed is insane from that kid uh like you mentioned oh man that's crazy rased rice had a tremendous game uh he he was and they're still missing one of the receivers go yep yeah yeah yeah yeah so it was a great game played by both teams um for I would say at least a good three quarters there's in within it there was another quarter where it was just pretty sloppy play but it's like you said if you're used to it that's something you're going to have to get adapt to because these guys don't play the preseason anymore so now it's like you know if you guys aren't going to be or if you guys aren't playing together you know how are you guys going to get in sync you guys got to get in sync better uh hopefully that's the other thing but so and I know you and I talk about this too folks Anthony I were talking about this I know you folks have probably seen this Goodell's talking about aside from wanting to obviously continue to make the game a global experience and all that stuff but he's also talking about you know adding another week of of of of game you know games account you know going to 18 weeks and reducing preseason to like two weeks and everything is going to become scrimmage interaction stuff like that and I'm sorry that's not going to cut it you know you know you and I both know good and well that coaches don't they're not they're not revealing anything in a in a scrimmage in a camp it doesn't happen and how many times now with all these other scrimmages have you seen these two teams get into fights it's always happening now they're just get into complete fight it's it's not worth it for these guys to already go after each other before the season even starts and so you know the Union's boing at the you know the extra game which I get and this whole Global thing we've talked about this before on the podcast that you know I'm sorry talking about sending you know teams to to on a 16-hour flight to Australia and then you know you're coming back for a game the next week that's insane that's asinine absolutely you know now you're starting to let you're letting greed take over you know quality and that's what's going to happen you can have this game be Global and it's funny you mentioned hey next thing we're going to see a game in Dublin well guess what that's one of the places not Dev per se but Ireland you know this what they're talking about but I'm sorry I just disagree with that and and I told you that as an owner I would fight that now my I know it's mandatory but I'll tell you what if I'm the Walmarts you can freaking build me all you want to I'm not agreeing to this if you want to go to court we'll go to court but I'm not going to have my team going on these ridiculous trips like this I think it's asinine it's not good for the players it's it's not good for the quality of the game I I get you want everybody to see this game I understand that but if you want to do the one or two experiences a year whatever I I I guess you try to do that but I think you got to limit it and this whole thing about putting teams in Europe and I mean I I don't know why don't you put a team in Hawaii I mean you know put a team in Hawaii I mean how is that not not something you want to do but you're right you're right I mean I I can't argue with that I I don't like the traveling either and and other thing is Green Bay isn't going to enjoy that traveling either because they keep going overseas and their quarterbacks keep getting hurt um that second that second game Friday uh well not second game but our Friday game with that Philadelphia Green Bay game at the end of that game you know Lord Love Takes that hit and we've now confirmed now that he should be out with about three to four weeks with the MCL five to six five to six weeks with MCL injury and so with that loss now what does that now mean for Green Bay and Mike are they still a playoff team did you have them as a playoff team uh or you know what does this say now for this Packers team I no obviously a playoff team bud but uh this takes it this puts you know love comes back and if he can play obviously it's a work in progress but it's puts a serious dent in where they could finish obviously in the playoff rankings y uh a lot of people had them as a top seed second seed uh if you miss five to six weeks and I tell you what no no disrespect to the kid backing up love but uh folks I know if you're a Green Bay fan you really got no hope uh you better hope you're playing the bottom of the barrel because you're not well the thing is is this is interesting right well this is interesting right because didn't Green Bay just traded before the season started to get Malik Willis from Tennessee so that is the backup so yeah is so Willis is I think I think he's gonna be okay fill in for this now those wide receivers in Green Bay are insane that might be one of the best wide receiving core like one through six that they half holy crap those wide receivers were doing everything out there they did drop a few passes for love um but man Watson dos re that jayen Reed that Jaylen Reed is that that kid is special he he's gonna be really special but you know then on the other side it was great I I have to say this I have to say it was so great to see sequan Barkley do what he did now I'm not an Eagles fan I'm not happy he went to the Eagles I'm not s here saying I want but the fact that he's had so many people say that you know he's not worth it obviously leaving the Giants you got Giants fans saying that you know he's going to be you know a waste of time all the and he did what he did he went out and he bowled he went out and he bowled last night but he's playing with a chip he's got a massive chip not on one shoulder on both shoulders and he's there to prove a point I guarantee you we talked about this off camera New York uh you got two games that you I know you're not looking forward to any games really uh because you're probably going to lose most of them but those two games with Green Bay uh or I'm sorry with Philadelphia lights out you're going to get knocked out and Sequon is going to be a huge part of that because he's going to make sure that New York regrets treating him the way they did what was New York thinking obiously I mean if you're G to I get understand getting rid of him who wants Le but to the division yeah that's a part I understand well also they were undercutting him what they were offering him I I and we know running backs are being sort of discarded this's been a little bit of a an upswing in the money they're getting now just a little bit obviously like the Caff and stuff like that but they were disrespecting this kid you have to make sure he gets away from your Division I don't care what you have to do you get him away you you put him in the AFC that's what you do you put him in the AFC yeah exactly or obviously you put him with the bottom feder like Arizona who's not going to go anywhere I mean a team that you know he's he's going to struggle with because their schemes suck but you don't trade them to the division that's that's the GU that's the guardan rule all I'm say trade a division all I'm saying is circle the first Giants game just circle it because I I think he's gonna he's he's going to have a huge game you got him in your fantasy league folks start him against the Giants I I I would say absolutely start him for sure but and I will say to the game itself uh last night with the Eagles in Green Bay uh prior to the love injury I tell you and again we go back folks to the first you know we're talking about the first week of the Season here and like Anthony and I just talked about you know you're seeing kind of the worst of what you're going to see from the starters yeah so the defenses on both sides I thought were they look pretty suspect but again we're talking week one those they will both improve they're good defenses but Eagles went through a complete overhaul across the board basically so uh but offensively man I know you're not a big jayen Herz fan but the kid bowed out last night well here's here's the thing is I I Jaylen Herz he had like all of a sudden a flip of the switch I guess right say the kid looked like he was seeing ghost out there in the beginning of the game when he's over throwing I mean throwing an interception right off the bat I don't know how he doesn't see that I don't know how he doesn't see the safety back there um but he did ball out in the second half I I will give him that they they you know saquan was like I said huge part in this offense though but for me um looking at both teams I think these are two teams that you know by barring that injury to love which really really sucks but um I think both those teams could have been for sure playoff teams they they did look good I the defenses are a little Little Eagles defense isn't what it used to be um they do need to figure out though with Philadelphia that Center position with C they really missed Kelsey it showed quite a bit you know and that's I mean you're talking about a Hall of Famer I mean how many years was he there uh just true true true Center to the game absolutely amazing I think he's probably top five centers um when you're kind of looking at it probably all time um so that's hard to replace right it might not even be replaceable who I mean who knows but they got to figure it out right that's one of the most important parts on the field other than your quarterback is that Center he's got to be able to get the quarterback the ball he's got to be able to read the defenses make adjustments at the line when needed you know that's that's the important part of it so um they got to figure that out but I think both teams really look good I mean it was a hell of a game back and forth with each other um you know Philadelphia just was the just the better team in the end that's just kind of what it came down to yeah and uh you know back to your original question about about Green Bay you know are they still a playoff team you know if for some reason you know they can they can balance out these NE let's say let's say he is out to six weeks and let's say they can at least split the six games you know and and your for and whatever uh if love comes back obviously and he can sort of pick up where he left off then you got a good shot obviously you're not going to grab the two seed maybe you're a four maybe you're a five maybe a six but I this I still think Green Bay makes the playoffs and whatever happens then Green Bay showed last year if they get hot and love if he can if he is the real deal and he was having a pretty good game up to uh to the injury but um but if he continues to to ball out uh I think that go to the playoffs still is a really dangerous football team if they're healthy you know we're always talking about healthy you got you got to have a healthy team going to any playoff any sport so if Green Bay is essentially healthy uh I'm not sure that's the team I'd want to I'd want to match up with because I think they're going to be really dangerous if if they come back and they hitting their stride so Green Bay fans you still I mean I know it sucks right now but uh you still got a a pretty good shot to get in the playoffs and at that point with that team one of the youngest teams in the league if not still the youngest uh you got you got a chance to make some serious noise yeah and Philadelphia it looks it looks I mean all signs point to a potential playoff spot so yeah I I I agree with you I I definitely agree with you and with with all of that um I agree that green bake probably should be able to make the playoffs still I think that's a you know a huge trade making there um you know not assuming Willis probably even gets in this year you know loves projected to have a really good year so they didn't expect this to happen obviously but to be able to make that trade obviously was smart uh on the organization um Philadelphia like I said they have some things to work on both teams need to work on their defenses a little bit but at the same time those are two high-powered offenses too so um you know they they may be okay they might be all right they they probably are um but I I absolutely think both those two teams are going to be playoff teams uh after watching that game um hopefully love comes back um 100% um so that way they can kind of see what what kind of push they can make if if he needs to get them you know to where they need to be into the playoffs if Willis just goes and that's another thing I mean what well then what do you do what if he doesn't win a game I mean do you do you risk putting love back in no you really can't because at this point you obviously and again we talked about this and this is why you and I talked about you know in investing heavy amounts of money in guys we were talking about based on performances but so the injury risk is always going to be there I get it but these are type of things you really have to caution against but there's no real way to do that but back to your point you know you can't put him back out there because if he's really not set to go you're you're potentially washing 200 plus million dollars down the drain and you just have to bite it and and and I know they're still looking for it to bring in some guys here while he's hurt I don't know what that really that really cures or helps but you know you got to have a backup um that would be that would be a terrible season right I mean what they were projected what a lot of people had them ranked as um I know my dad had them in the Super Bowl right when we were talking about our picks and stuff my dad has them in the Super Bowl playing in Kansas City this year so yeah obviously that doesn't help help his picks but at the same time Willis could be that guy also he could get him to where they need to be I mean all you need to do as a as as a backup quarterback is just get your team through the games that they're out that's that's yourest the team the greatest quarterback in history will tell you it just takes one injury to get on the field and if you get a chance to prove yourself you may never leave it absolutely you I don't think he's Tom Brady but hey sometimes you just need that chance he's a good kid he's a big kid he's got a good arm um he just doesn't have any real game time experience but you got to start somewhere and he's got a good he's got all the buffering pieces around him like you talked about bud with the receivers and the running backs so he's got all the pieces aside from you know a couple of offensive concerns on on the line but all the offensive weapons are there to buffer you know him learning as he goes so but uh we'll just have to see how they do but I still still think I still think when it's all said and done Green Bay will make the playoffs still both teams as defin I agree I agree I think so too so Mike before the season started um I think n there was a poll that came out uh basically saying who is the most overrated and most underrated quarterbacks in the NFL right now the most overrated quarterback was Josh Allen the most underrated quarterback was Brock birie now most over quarterback is Kyler Murray I know and I and I have an extreme uh dislike for this kid folks I'm not going to put I'm just going to put that out there because I don't think the performance justifies you know where he's being considered as a quarterback because it's not there and I'm putting aside the injuries even when he's on the field the kid is a mediocre quarterback so for me personally if I look across the landscape of NFL quarterbacks this kid's the most overrated piece of trash out there right now if he gets his attitude right he's going to have a weapon now coming into the league you know obviously at receiver and supposedly they're going to have some improvements but he's got to prove it to me but right now heads down Kyler Murray is the most overrated quarterback in the NFL I have no problems no I don't need a second to to to bring this up well okay and I'm with you I I I do think Kyler Murray's is overrated when he came in I don't think he's as overrated now because he's not really in the TOs of a lot of stuff yet because Arizona is just a pretty bad team but they are on the upside right they got Marvin Harrison Jr and like you said if he can get his head on straight figure that out um they there's something there they also have Trey McBride too um there what's that when when you when you and I kind of cut you off my apologies but so when they were when they brought up that topic were they talking about every team or were they every quarterback in the NF about every quarterback in thef I I get I get the Josh Allen thing but I really don't well I don't understand the Josh that's there's that's a word for him overrated that I mean overrated to me means I you know if I'm G to throw out a name I'm throwing out Justin Herbert right I think Justin Herbert's overrated Josh Allen's at least been to an AFC champ championship game yeah you know he just has ran into Patrick Mahomes right Josh Allen is one of the most talented quarterbacks in the league right now now you know with Lamar with M he's he's my preseason MVP he always has his team winning the division he always has his team there in the playoffs he just keeps running into momes yeah I mean it's the same thing in basketball right why don't you guys go ask Carl Malone and John Stockton why they didn't win well because I ran into Michael Jordan okay that's basically what you're seeing here I do I still think Josh Allen will find a way to get himself one I still think so but overrated the guy does everything every single year he throws the heck out of the ball he throws a lot of touchdown does he throw a lot of Pap yes he does he runs he's he is the team leader I do not believe anything about him being overrated like I said I'm going to throw if you throw out the name I would throw out would be a Justin Herbert I mean Justin Herbert hasn't even gotten close to an ASC Championship game uh he's hasn't put out the numbers that everybody wanted him to and the fact is is he just had Keenan Allen and Mike Williams being for his wide receivers and you're telling me that you can't do anything with that Austin Eckler in your backfield yeah should have been better now I allow for the I allow for for a couple of things obviously the coach sucked um and obviously he's had injuries you know but still the expectations like you're talking about bud when he came in was that he was going to be this gold standard guy and I I do believe there's potential there I don't know how he mixes with Harbaugh going forward because Harbaugh's run oriented so we'll have to see how that plays out and even still you know he's coming off of of an injury with this with this with the the planter um whatever's the I can't yeah thanks bu so he's dealing with that so again we're talking about injuries this is the thing this is what I I wonder about Joe burrow you know I here's a guy some people say well Joe's overrated well we don't I don't think he is you know because you know what I think about Joe I think it's the injuries that that have really hampered him hopefully he's healthy this season and we see what really he can do again much like they did when they got to the Super Bowl but Herbert's had those injuries but still when he's been healthy like you're saying Bud the production has not been what it probably should have been particular when you got eeka running back you got these receivers I mean there should have been a little bit more production there you brought in these offensive coordinators to help him out it still wasn't working so I kind of see where you're going with that but I really do yeah so I I don't know it's just to me I just just feel like that is really disrespectful to Josh Allen I I I think the guy has played really really hard every single year I I haven't seen him you know decline you know very much other than the P the interceptions he hasn't gotten better there right I mean but he also hasn't declined there I mean he's not throwing 28 interceptions a season right it's just but in the end he does throw quite a bit but it's not like he's declining he's staying the same way but he needs to get better if he can get better in that aspect he might probably win a game or two more um because of that but like I said overrated no way absolutely not there's other quarterbacks out here in the league right now that I that I consider overrated um for sure on that but as far as the other side of this with Brock py I absolutely believe this is true too Brock p is absolutely one of the most underrated quarterbacks in the league right now the guy's already taken the 49ers to the Super Bowl and almost won the Super Bowl right I mean he he he was there he he was fighting with them Brock birdie very very underrated uh I I know for me this is well this is totally different for me right because you knew before I wasn't a pry fan at all I first needed to see more I needed to see more but then as the season went on I mean the guy just kept producing more and more and more and and whatever you want to say about him if you want to call him a game manager if you don't want to call him I don't care what you call him you guy's a quarterback in the NFL and he's one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL winner he is he's an absolute winner and and I don't care if you want to sit here and tell me that he's got a great team around him so what he's doing what he's supposed to do with the team that's exactly it and he's winning so so so be it great team or not okay so but they didn't win the Super Bowl still so you can't tell me that they're the best team because they're not the best team no I mean he didn't ask to be drafted by the 49ers that's who drafted him I mean the kid said unless I played for San Francisco I'm not going to be drafted because I know I won't look good no he's taken what they've given given him what he has available to him when he's out on the field and he's maximized it folks he's he is a game manager that's what you're supposed to be not everybody's going to go out there and produce all these ridiculous players like a Mahomes with a behind the back pass and all this crap or Lamar running for 150 yards a game and all these other things that's not what most quarterbacks can do Tom Brady wasn't Mr Electric guy was a game manager Believe It or Not folks he's just one of the most brilliant ones there ever was pton Manning was a game manager just one of the most Brilliant Minds to ever stand behind a center in quarterback a football team but they were game managers there's nothing that that you weren't looking for them to play light out football you were looking for them to win and be great making great decisions those are game maners Brock pie makes great decisions now people are like we talk about last week oh you saw you saw those picks he threw right so what there's difference between game there's differences in game managers is is what I'm tring you can be a game manager where you just go in there and you just hand the ball off and you just try to run the clock down right and you maybe you know hit one little screen pass or a little slant pass they don't let you throw or fight that's a game manager of a quarterback that they just don't want you to make a mistake right then you have a game manager like a Joe Montana right the guy didn't have the legs to take off him run so he had to orchestr a great arm either he had to orchestrate his players to be able to be same thing with pton man pton Manning I mean nobody knew what he was calling he he audibled every single time at the line whether it was a dummy audible or not he audibled so you had no clue he always kept everybody on his toes he didn't have the legs to run either and this and that so there's difference between being they can have different kind of game managers Brock py is a game manager where he does what he needs to do to make sure that they win the game yeah he sticks to the game sticks to the game plan that's what he's coachable he's one of those coachable quarterbacks where a coach tells you this is the game plan okay there's the game plan what's the play calling for the game okay I'm going to focus on these plays and I'm going to run those plays in the game and they win because you know why because they also I think the other thing is is it's because he trusts and he knows how great of a coach Kyle Shanahan is Kyle Shanahan puts together great schemes we've all known that he be put in great schemes when he was an offensive coordinator before he was even a coach so when you have that kind of trust in your coach the best thing to do is sit there and say okay what's the scheme you want us to run this all right I'm going to focus on these plays Boom we're going to run them in the game and guess what it works that's why they win that's why they're so good because they stick to the game plan they don't go off of it they don't try anything crazy like you're talking about trying to throw these behind the back passes or hitting deep passes every game they they make whatever works because of the players that they have and that's why Kyle sh Shanahan is a great coach because of that yeah I mean I mean in the in the Detroit game last year you know in in the NFC championship game I mean he had they were down they were down I mean pry had to make the right decisions he had to make the right calls he had to execute the plays that they were asking him to make and he did that I'm telling you what the kid can throw some pretty serious dimes if you watch him I mean he can pretty pretty spot on when he needs to be and he can move out pocket it's just it's sad that you know you see these criticisms come up now and we're talking about preseason and these type of things and and and training camp and all this crap you know you're not even allowing the kid to get back out there and and do what he can do you know but I think once he gets back out there but but again we're talking about an organization that doesn't seem to respect him either we talked about this last week I think or two weeks ago your own organization won't give you a contract because I and I this baffles me this absolutely very few things surpris me folks but San Francisco just not willing to really offer this kid a contract and get it done sealed and delivered is a little mindboggling to me you know because I'm telling you if you if they we talked about this if they go to the Super Bowl this year win or lose her's contract is going to come up and you're going to have to pay this kid so why don't you negotiate with him now where you could potentially get him for a little bit less because if you're allowed to hit that point he's going to hit you for a Max contract and he deserves it if he does that he deserves it I have no problem with it I don't believe in huge contracts but since we're doing them out to everybody now then give this kid what he deserves absolutely I'm with you I'm absolutely with you on that I do I I agree I totally agree so H well Mike my next question here is is I've been hearing a lot of obviously talks about predictions everybody kind of talking about who they think's going to kind of win divisions and Super Bowl picks right recently my question to everybody and what I'd like to know on the Rams this year right I believe you have them pretty high this year yourself that one winning the division what is so intriguing to you about the Rams um this year that that has you don't you have them winning the division correct yeah I like him but well I'll start with sha McVey I think he's one of the best coaching Minds in the game today I think he's he's Innovative he's creative uh he knows how to utilize the talent that He has we know what they've got at wide receiver I mean they're stacked if these two kids are healthy I think Stafford's going to come back we know he's on the back end folks but uh you know obviously age-wise but I still think you know not that Stafford has like maybe like an En VP season in him but I think he he's got a Super Bowl at least a division title season in him potentially an NFC Championship that type of thing in him um and I just think you know obviously losing Aaron MC you know Aaron Donal is a Crusher I mean you don't replace that you just hope to uh to build around the Gap you know so you're not going to replace him you just got to you just got to move forward but I think the Rams are going to be able to do that uh they got a lot of speed obviously they're even good at they're pretty solid at running back as well so I I really like I think all the components are there to make them if not division Champions I really believe they're going to give the PO out they can handle see me I I just I think they're just going to kind of be in that 500 range a little below just because I am wondering what that defense is that's a huge loss on the defensive side Aaron Donald is that working there we go sorry my uh microphone came unplug so for me is with Aaron Donald is he's a pass rusher he plugs the inside up too on the Run what kind of pass rush is now in La if you're not be I I get it you got some young great Corners in a good backfield but in the end if those guys are going to have to cover for six seven seconds because they're not getting any pressure on the quarterback they're there going to be a lot more completions made so there has to be somebody that's going to step step up and take over that role of Aaron Donald and I'm not saying you're going to be able to it's not that I mean it's too hard you're not going to find another Aaron Donald right but at the same time someone needs to step up and at least come in and get nine and a half s nine and a half 10 sacks something like that somebody has to you got to get pressure on it now on the on the offensive side I mean team's great right I I think obviously Matthew Stafford if you look at the NFC Matthew Stafford might be even a top three quarterback in like the NFC really think about it right I mean I think he could be I mean like yeah Goff and maybe pry and you know maybe a Dak can get thrown in there but then again Cowboys I don't know you guys didn't do anything this offseason either right so you know I I I'm not high on Dallas and I don't think a lot of people are high on Dallas what was it skip Baylor said that he do have his Cowboys makeing the playoffs this year he hasn't knocked out yeah he has like eight out of the SE out of the playoffs this year which but at the same time if you're not going to make any moves what's the deal and then you going wait how long to sign CD and then you finally just do it out of nowhere you could have did this way before you has had the option to sign CD you could have gave that money right off the bat there's no reason you should have waited that long for him um I I don't think that looks good on the organization at all but then Jerry's just hasn't been making a lot of good decisions for the past what maybe four to five years it's been that Jerry Jones just hasn't been making the dec the correct decisions out here no and I think too but you know we if you look at both conferences you and I both know and a lot of people watching know if you're you have you know at least a decent knowledge base with the NFL that the NFC from one division to the next they're they're really not offering up a lot as far as a number of teams that can be truly competitive I mean really if you nrow it down we're looking at San Francisco and the Green Bays and the Detroits you know maybe maybe if if you know know cousins goes off and Atlanta you know everybody's talking about Atlanta being this this hot pick to be great this year if they do something but so the Rams have a chance to fit right into it and now with Green Bay having their issues you know uh you kind of wonder what they're they're going to be able to do um again like you say the defense will be an issue uh I trust you know with McVey and what he has for a staff that they'll they'll compensate for that obviously you have to put together more Collective contribution now whereas the Rams last year and previously could say Hey you know we got we got Aaron in here so we can we can focus on this because Aaron's got this aon's going to occupy two offensive linemen as he's trying to push in so that's blah blah blah blah blah so obviously it's going to be more one-on-one now with the Rams in their defense so to your point secondary is goingon to have to come up huge now can they we don't know um I'm trusting that they'll figure out a way to do it if again if everybody's healthy um I just don't like what I see outside of San Francisco and the Rams in that Division I think Seattle is mediocre at best Arizona's they're they're really not even worth a thought um and then Chicago and those type of them you know teams and stuff Minnesota now with the injury at their quarterback so there's a chance for the Rams to make a little bit of noise and you know once you get into familiarity with teams you know the 49ers the Rams and vice versa uh that can always work in your favor particularly if you're playing at home so we'll see how it plays out but uh I think the Rams could surprise some people this year but again to your point that defense is going to have to step it up big time I mean Big T yeah well we'll see obviously they got a big one that's a Sunday night game against the Detroit Lions right and Detroit's another team also that um a lot of people have PID to be a good playoff team really high could be a number one number two seed um I have them obviously in the NFC Championship I also have them in the Super Bowl guys I do um I have them playing Baltimore that's that's kind of you know we'll get into little some of this possibly hopefully tonight but uh I do have Baltimore playing um Detroit in the Super Bowl um I won't give M my winner away yet but I do I think this is Detroit's year I think Campbell has uh a big chip on his shoulder I think he's ready to come back I think he's ready to get this team to where they need to be I love Goff I think go can have a great season um they he has some great weapons for him uh leaport healthy uh omon St Brown great James Willam Williamson I mean that it's a great team uh I know they signed Tim Patrick off to their practice squad from the Broncos yeah um obviously jir Gibbs and Montgomery in the backfield that's a two-headed monster that's great too um when they got some good they got decent defense right Aiden Hutchinson um who I do have ped as my defensive player of the year I do have Aiden um that's who I think is going to have a great year and the reason is and this is why I have them in Super Bowl right guys you have to have great players and you have to have players that are willing to do that right you need to have a like Hutchinson become defensive player of the year that means you're going to get to the Super Bowl you have to have you can't just play okay you know football all year long and just kind of skate by into the NFC get to the playoffs and then just make it right no you got to play tough and that's what Detroit's going to do I think I think they are going to be one of the best teams in the NFC this year um I love what I love the whole team I love everything about him um like I said the only thing that I'm worried about is just Campbell's um decision decision making yep Ian I'm not I'm not happy with it I I don't like the going for fourth Downs uh it cost them in the playoffs too um so absolutely hated it yeah and unfortunately you had to put you know losses on a coach but unfortunately there were losses that were fully on the coach and his poor decision making uh you got to be better than that and you would have hoped because this occurred throughout the season into the playoffs and you would have hoped and thought that he would learn as it progressed but he really didn't seem to he kept offering up all the right words but the actions never match what he was saying you're still making poor decisions so I I to your point Bud he if there's one weakness on the Detroit Lions this season folks it's your head coach yeah you got to you got to if if he starts making these decisions you better get on the phone get on the the line you know Reach Out overwhelm Detroit headquarters with complaints and say dude figure it out because we we got to get there this team is stacked this is Detroit's absolute best chance ever I'm not talking about when Barry in Detroit went to Washington to the NFC champion nothing compared to what this team had this is your best team int Barry didn't have anybody else but himself that's it this is your best Detroit team in history of your organization this is it it's got to be this season and like Bud talked about he's got him going I've got him going he's got him playing Baltimore I surprisingly and I know people won't really understand why but I if he stays healthy I think Cincinnati's got a chance to make some noise uh they say they finally figured out the offensive line we'll see if they have Cincinnati can make some serious noise but we both have Detroit going to the Super Bowl um you're not going to like Theo but uh but to get there is big for Detroit and they're still young enough to build on this so just just but this should be a big big year if they stay healthy I know they got a few injuries on the defensive side to start the season but this team is absolutely stacked and that's not an exaggeration I'm so hyped for Detroit I love Detroit I always have been a fan of Detroit and I hope this year they actually you know can just get over the hump and at least get there please just come on Detroit get there we're rooting for you and we don't live there exactly right uh a lot of lot of new lot of new new coaches a lot of young quarterbacks playing this week Mike to right um getting into these quarterbacks though man it's kind of exciting it's like a new Turn to You know it's like a new era kind of FL coming into the NFL now right with some of these quarterbacks and kind kind of interesting but for me I'm kind of what's that it's an overhyped era that we I really do Bud because you know now you're now you're let now the the the fan base is letting the hype you know predetermined the talent base well see well I I understand what you're talking about as far as like the this draft class yes but I'm also talking about other Young quarterback because like Anthony Richardson's coming back this year CJ st's still young who's going into his second year too um so I'm just talking about the young ones still like that all together but I'm also you know I am talking about these rookies Caleb Williams I I I think we both have talked about this we talked about it last time we were on um just how we weren't we weren't feeling like that hype was there right I don't think everybody's there Nick Wright had them go into the Super Bowl this year against Kansas City right there's no way I could see Caleb Williams taking this team now granted this team has a lot of they do have a lot of weapons right DJ Moore they got you know Keenan Allen um de Deandre Swifts now in the back field for them so they have a lot of potential to be good but I just don't sit here and say yes I can see them beating San Francisco I can't see them getting past Dallas I can't see them getting past Philadelphia I can't see them getting past Detroit so for him to say that was crazy right now but there's other quarterbacks that I'm really interested in kind of keeping an eye on this year and Jaden Daniels is one of them right I think you and I are both pretty high on him um do you think that there's an upset chance for him in Washington this week against Baker and Tampa Bay I tell you what but I'd like to say yes and those first weeks are always you know the hardest week of any football season if you're picking games whether you're you're you know hardcore betting on the games or you're just that Joe fan who's just picking games you know wins losses that type of thing first weeks are tough because you just don't know what you're getting you don't it's just go out there and see what happens and that's why I think usually your picks are usually the worst of the season because you just don't know what you're getting I so based on that yeah could could the could the commanders go and pull off a little bit of an upset I think they could I I need to see how he does in real game time action again we go back to this whole and and now the rookies aren't even playing really in the preseason this is a huge detriment I think and that's going to show up with Caleb I really think it will I think it'll show up you know in Washington you know and it would have shown up Minnesota but you know what I'm talking about uh if they're starting there's a chance uh I wouldn't give it quite 50/50 but it wouldn't stun me because I think I had Washington overall at the end of the season but I think don't quote me I had them either Seven and 10 or eight and nine for the season that's actually pretty good I think that's really good because honestly I think I think Washington is now going to finally find themselves a franchise quarterback and something they have not had a very very long time I mean what are you talking about like thyman is probably the last franchise quarterback well people will tell you that well they'll tell you rien took him to the Super Bowl in Super Bowl 26 I get that he wasn't listed to be a franchise quarterback for them right I mean no I'm saying I mean I know RG3 was supposed to be but obviously the injuries that took away from him and and RG and don't get me wrong I I I'm not against RG3 and I'm not gonna take away anything from him either but the injuries did hurt his career unfortunately and that does suck but I think now Washington has found themselves their quarterback I think this is going to be him I look forward to watching him yeah play I I will be keeping an eye on him I hope he has a really good career but like I said I feel like some of these teams now are starting to fit in with some of these teams and it kind of makes these teams a little better right hopefully this brings the NFL to a stage where all most teams could start getting better like you don't have just these top tier teams anymore now we can start getting teams to get franchise quarterback you know even in Denver right Bo Knicks is is being talked about possibly being that next franchise quarterback you know say you know Denver hasn't had that franchise quarterback since outway I mean we had Payton here but he's not franchised to us because he came in at the end of his career right so no it's outway we haven't had that since 83 all the way up till 98 99 we had not had a franchise quarterback here in Denver so Bo could be that guy for them right who knows Michael Fenix Jr is he going to be that next guy to be up and coming um Anthony Richardson finally gets to see after the injury last year early he gets to come back and see what he can do for Indie now does he make a difference for Indie does indie make a push for Houston and you know for the division because I have Houston up there in the division I think a lot of people are talking about Houston being good is CJ strout going to have the sophomore slump or are they going to run with this like there's like everybody body has them projected to do you know they have a tremendous team the Joe Mixon move over there with him having tank down uh and Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs you know there's so much that's going to go on this first week that is exciting for us to watch I feel yeah you know going back to Denver for a second but you know you realize and I'm glad you you pointed that out with Payton he was not a drafted quarterback so he can't qualify as a franchise quarterback so a great Point bud you realize if you put if you take Payton out of the equation and let's say let's say for some reason Bo gets out there this year and really struggles bad and it doesn't look like he might be the answer he might be but let's say let's say it goes the other way do you realize and my point folks is that this is how hard it can be to find a franchise quarterback if he does not pan out it will be 26 straight Seasons that really hasn't had a franchise quarterback they thought they might have but they actually didn't so it can be extremely difficult folks to find that franchise quarterback like Bud is talking about look at Washington we have to go all the way back again to possibly Joe thyman uh is is what would have been maybe their last franchise quarterback and hopefully you know they they have something now but this is a tough a tough position to find that guy and now you got you know now this draft we've got a few of these guys that people are potentially looking at as as hopefully being that guy if these guys all do pan out like Bud's talking about with what's already established in some of the other areas this could be like a a quarterback Renaissance you know yeah with all this with all this optimism every year because maybe we don't have Patrick and maybe we don't have Lamar maybe we don't have Josh maybe we don't have Joe but we've got maybe the next big thing coming along like you talking about these have so you you hope it plays out but it's I tell you be be very careful but I do like what Washington's doing but I do think they could pull the upset I'm still going to lean just a little bit slightly other way just because of experience maybe yeah I'm kind of Ro for Washington I'm rooting for the kid anyway yeah for sure I'm not all right everybody we're gonna take a quick break real quick and when we come back we're going to actually start getting into some of these games and talk about them for this going to start getting into some of these games now uh we want to talk kind of just quickly kind of go into them maybe give our picks a little bit um kind of just see um what we got to feel for some of these teams this year um and if we got some time at the end maybe try to go over some of our playoff stuff but we will before the night is over guys we will tell you guys who we have we told our who's in the Super Bowl we have will tell you guys who we have winning our Super Bowl gam so uh we're going to go ahead and start with this first game Mike we got Cardinals at the bills um I know you kind of spoke a little bit about both teams here we we talked about Allen um with being a more overrated quarterback you kind of let us know that you know Kyler's you're underrated I mean you're overrated quarterback um but you know what are your thoughts here on this game oh it's I mean it's a tough road game nobody likes to go into Buffalo I don't think any time of the year it's a tough cell because of the crowd obviously with Josh but I just I there's I just don't see you know uh Carol I mean again Arizona just doesn't have a talent base yet they're still developing in certain positions and that's you know that just comes with time but right now going into Buffalo first week of the season I do believe uh the the the situation at receiver could be beneficial to Buffalo because now you have not just one focal point essentially this is going to spread the ball around a little bit I think that's gonna be good for Josh now you don't have one guy coming up to you saying hey I need to get the ball more you know now he doesn't have whether it's an underlying pressure or not now you got a free flow to just get all everybody involved you know Josh is going to freelance when he needs to that's why like I said a little bit ago a little bit ago folks uh right now Josh is my preseason MVP um they may not make the playoffs it's going to be a tough tough season I think uh they might but uh regardless I think Josh is going to put some serious numbers and I think in part because he's going to spread the ball around a little bit more uh he'll be a little bit more comfortable and I just think it's gonna it's going to add to his value as a quarterback and like Bud said he's not overrated this is a this is a good solid freaking quarterback um and I think he'll show this year they'll beat Arizona well my my thing is this game is is Buffalo please just do do not this is week one do not take anything lightly you go in there just take care of business you know you go in there and you just win whatever you need to do you just take care of business and and and don't sit here and think oh it's Arizona I can air out the ball all day long they don't have a great secondary or whatever make the mistake if the running game's working stick with the running game who cares if you only throw for 120 yards in the game but you rush for 250 in the game you win the game just take care of business whatever it needs to get done that's the kind of game plan that Buffalo needs to have they got a better they got better running game I like James Cook a lot um he he needs to take that off of Josh right he needs to not let Josh run so much it's kind of like we talked about with the Henry and Lamar thing you Henry needs to step up a little more so Lamar is not doing that um but cook can do that also so he needs to take that off let Josh kind of get more comfortable in the pocket make better throws where he's not on the run or throw him you know back you know back across his body or anything like that um but I do I do see Buffalo winning this game uh for sure on this one uh they are six and a half Point favorite right now I I I should be able to see them covering that spread too I would think so especially at home if it were in Arizona I I might even allow for Arizona to maybe keep it in the six but at Buffalo no I don't see that happening at all yeah definitely I agree well next game uh Patriots at the Bengals get to talk about your boy Joe right this this is one of those other games it it it we just talked about with Arizona right don't take this team too lightly I know since Cincinnati they there's a chance T Higgins is Lista as doubtful right now's probably not going to play um so they better be glad not gonna have both but you are playing New England that's that's the plus side of it all um but at the same time does Gerard Mayo have this team ready is this is a new season right it's a new coach season does Gerard Mayo have him ready is Drake may this guy Drake May is not a terrible quarterback guys but in the same time is he NFL ready I don't believe he is now he's coming from my from my Tar Heels that I love but I've watched the guy play I don't believe he's NFL ready that's why I'm sitting here saying Jaden Daniels there if I was all about Drake May we'd be talking about New England and I think New England has a chance to try to make a push here but at the same time New England you guys got to deal with the Jets and Aaron Rogers come back got to deal with Buffalo and Josh Allen and the team we haven't talk about yet but we will Tua and Miami that is a tough division to deal with but this game what we're talking about um cincin is a three and a half Point favorite right now oh no sorry seven and a half Point favorite the Bengals are um that that half kind of hard that's kind of hard um I don't know but I I just think New England's there too much transition going on you know new Co I'm worried I'm just worried about that half because here's the other thing not only are you missing Chase and Higgins you are you don't have um Mixon in the battlefield you might be starting a rookie Chase Brown is probably starting and if that so there's a lot of missing pieces to this team right now that I don't know what the Patriots have Patriots usually always have a at least above average to good very good defenses right yeah so all they need to do is make a few mistakes happen get a few picks maybe you know back into back you know in their own end to leave Drake May with a shorter field to to make some plays I can see something like that happen but at the same time if Joe is Joe then it doesn't matter right at that is it may is May going is or is it uh rette I heard it was May but as you see here I thought Jo was getting a call let's see if it tells me on here I do I I'll say this I'm gonna allow New England to stay under the spread somehow you know no they did they they are playing he is starting but and it does say it says jacobe Brett is starting quarterback for opener despite being outplayed by rookie Drake May in preseason see so that doesn't so there's there's my answer right there as to Gerard Mayo making the right decisions or not right it's just clearly says he's been outplayed by Drake May so why not because here's the thing this is what going back to what we were just talking about young quarterbacks that could be start to the FR if this guy is going to be good why not make him become your franchise let him what what difference does it make got to learn sometime got to learn sometime I mean does he really think he has a shot at the The Division I mean I I know you're not supposed to sit here and tell your team you're not supposed to but I mean when he's really looking at it all he really thinks he's going to sit here and compete with with Miami Buffalo or the Jets yeah because I mean I like jacobe he's had his moments you know as a backup over the years but he's not winning your football games he's not winning you the games that matter you may as well put this kid out there and let him learn I mean you got to do it sometime and you're not going to the playoffs anyway so why don't you just put him out there and see what happens I mean what's the worst you could do lose you going probably lose anyway regardless of which direction you go at quarterback right now so just put him out there and let him get some reps and start learning the game that's what that's what you drafted him so high for so just let him play I'm I'm gonna allow for New England's defense to like you said Bud to keep it under the spread but Joe's going to find a way to win it yeah I'm with you motivated he's got a chip definitely uh Vikings at Giants is there an is a battle of the what an awful game I mean I'll tell you what this is the game that you you you you know even as a Giants fan or a Vikings fan you probably turn the channel and watch the other offering because you just can't stand what's going to happen I I think that was a big blow to Minnesota on uh you know with the quarterback situation I know you know they got you know darn back up but I just don't see it here here's my thing with that I'm trying to figure out with Minnesota now I get McCarthy getting hurt was a huge blow but is it though because you now they will be starting a a rookie who in my opinion I don't think was super ready either but you get Sam darnold then now who's been an NFL quarterback who's been able to play he's got some pretty decent weapons R I know hackinson out for the first few weeks and stuff but he's got Justin Jefferson he's got Jordan Addison out there they got a good uh Run game now with getting Aaron Jones out there so I think Aaron Jones can definitely take a lot of that weight off of darnold um with him having his veterans ship so I I'm wondering if maybe Minnesota's not as bad then now that darnold's in there comparative mcarthy in there is the game in New York it is in New York New Jersey or whatever it is what's the spread one and a half for Minnesota that's pretty bad can't get you can't get the the points in your thing is is I I got to go with the Vikings on this one I I like I think there's better better quarterback play better wide receivers unless Malik neighbors becomes that guy right with the Giants I mean he's that young he's the rookie that's supposed to be there um if if he can be as explosive as he was in college maybe he makes some big plays uh against Minnesota's defense and can try to help him win the game I I do like Devon single though running for for the Giants I think he's going to get a lot of the load um this year um with the Giants too but I I I'm going to have to go with Minnesota on this one I think I just think they have just a little bit of the better team between the two man I'll tell you what Giants really they got to figure out a way to win some games or else they're going to have a complete overhaul at coaching staff at quarterback everything I mean this might this whole season might be just a tank job right you know I'm going to go Minnesota and the spread uh I see a three-point win yeah that's pretty sad but the Giants are just abysmal uh Titans at the Bears uh Chicago four uh Point favorite on that one well hey Chicago's going Super Bowl so I guess we don't have any other choice but to pick Chicago here I mean that might be one of the worst takes I've ever heard that might have been one of the worst takes I've ever heard that surprises me coming from Nick I thought you know usually he's pretty incio he aside from can City he's he's pretty levelheaded that's an asine thing to to even put out there that the Bears are going they're not going to the Super Bowl that's I mean and and the disrespect that he gives to the ners the L they have no chance the Cowboys the Eagles the the Rams I mean the disect the Packers to sit here and say that the Bears are now going to run through the NFC and play for the Super Bowl not going to happen that that's a sad thing so he'll pick Chicago Super Bowl play Kanas and then no but they can't beat Kansas City nobody Kansas City exactly I tell you what though um there's going to be a lot of hype a lot of excitement the games in Chicago you know coming out performance I do believe though the Titans aren't great but they had a few Acquisitions I thought they were they did well in the off season I like you know Levi quarterback um or or what how's it pronounced L will l l I'm sorry I said Levi sorry folks Levis I like Levis at quarterback I think keeps it close I'll say Bears win by five I think they'll cover but I could see Tennessee you know I do like what Tennessee did obviously putting Tony Pard back there feel that hole with for Henry I think that's an okay I like that acquisition U they did get what Calvin Ridley um moved over with them too so terrible lineup Levis is the key right Le is the and that kind of this and that I can definitely see the bears but I just don't I don't think the Bears will cover in this one I think it'll be I think it'll be a three-point game or something like that um for them to try to win this and I do think the Bears do win it um it's the Caleb hype right they're going to try to find a way to win this for him somehow someway they don't want him to go down number one I mean and as a bear you know even being a Bears fan if you're a Bears fan if you're in the organization you you you kind of have to win that first game regardless dud you don't want to go down on andone with him well hype you made getting rid of fields and doing all that after you just drafted him number one uh all this hype with you know guys like Nick Wright saying you guys have a chance to go to the Super Bowl with it like that was just you you have to win you have to win right off the bat then and like I told you uh you and your dad you know my pick for coach of the year is Matt you know obviously but here's the caveat to that folks he's walking into much like Caleb he's walking into a dream situation you got a lot of Talent on both sides of the ball a lot of buffer pieces for Caleb in case he struggles the coach comes into again a situation of both sides of the ball where you got a lot of talent so really even if I offer him up the coach of the year award I'm not exactly sure it's completely Justified but we know how that goes you know they're going to look at the all well you got eight wins nine wins and you got them to the playoffs well you're the one of the greatest coaches since George how type thing so it's just whatever but uh we'll see what happens but I think Chicago pulls it out yeah I agree uh Panthers at the Saints uh Saints are a fourpoint favorite in the one Panthers are going to wind up with probably the first pick in the draft next year and I tell you what bud I don't know what's going to be available at quarterback but this is a sad thing because they're burying this kid and he's not going to get a chance to really show what he's probably cap of and that's not been fair to him we talked about this they did nothing they didn't try him in the preseason get him back out there to get reps in why you saw his struggles last year why is he not out there at least trying to get some reps this team is a bottom feeder and you're just putting him right back on to the same situation I I I don't know I I these teams are just they're just too scared to let anybody get hurt in these preseason they just don't want to play but then again it's like what does it matter what does matter because what now look at Jordan love yeah it's a perfect example right now Jordan Love Is Now hurt and he is now out five to six weeks he played in week one and now you're worried about getting hurt I me it could happen at any time yeah it can you got to let these guys play they got to get that feel back again you you when you're when you're out for as many months as you are and you don't see live gameplay you're just watching walkthroughs and you're just kind of here and there you got to get some sort of live play in whether it be a few here and and they used to do this and and I'm not even saying that these players back in the 80s and the 90s and stuff in the early 2000s were playing like full preseason games no they weren't they would come out and play two or three series and then go back you know what I mean and then they were done for the night and then you know maybe on that third week or something then they'll play like a whole quarter maybe or something like that but then the last game then they wouldn't play at all they would just let those guys that were fighting for the last roster spots fight it out for that last game so I'm not sitting here saying no you got to sit them out there and play them for the whole half or you play them for a full game or something like no you're not going to do that they need some series though two or three serieses to get that feel man I got the game playay back I got my footing in again uh you know I what it's like to take a hit again you know all that different stuff same with wide receivers I got to get my footwork down got to get my cuts am I hitting Cuts right same with running backs am I reading the defenses am I hitting the you know hitting the holes like I'm suppos I seeing the holes you don't so then what happens you play teams like you get into week one and you have players like Ronnie Stanley from Baltimore who gets seven illegal procedures or whatever it is you know what I mean you got guys you know getting beat off of you know Z flowers is beating uh tranquil off and he's pulling for pass interference because you're not ready you're not ready to see these these wide receivers you're you're playing against you know the three fours and fives you're not playing against the ones and twos and yeah these guys are faster they're quicker same thing with the Dbacks rased rice that's why rashed rice is getting is beating these guys off they're not seeing that speed no at all in the preseason they're not seeing that at all and so now you're going to put him out there you know against New Orleans is's a pretty good football team you know projected to fight out for the division title and it's just going to be a mess and that's why I don't think Carolina wins more than two games all season at best for them three wins would be miraculous I really believe is right now as bad as this team is that's too bad what's the spread on that game uh on which one the Panthers game yeah four for New Orleans yeah New Orleans covers yeah I'm with you I'm taking New Orleans on this one too uh next game is Steelers at Atlanta Falcons are a three and a half Point favorite and I believe what they said is Russ is not starting this game fields is I mean is that what you heard too yeah it was going back and forth obviously like you know I know Russ has had the ankle issue throughout preseason training camp so I know it's just an ongoing problem but maybe this is what you're getting into maybe I don't know maybe like you talk about maybe just Russ doesn't have anything left I don't know the body's given out maybe the motivation is gone I don't know but I really don't think it matters whether it's Russ out there if it's you know Justin out there you're on the road you're playing a team that's projected to win the division projected to maybe make some noise in the playoffs I'm I'm still struggling to buy into this Atlanta hype butth we'll see but uh that's I think it's Pittsburgh is kind of a mess we talked about what what's what are the two best people on that entire organization it's Watt and it's Tom it is it really is I mean the thing is is is they have a really good defense though right so the thing is is that they're going to have to be the old steel curtains of the 70s right or they're going to have to be the 85 Bears or the 15 Broncos to be able to do anything right they have to be that great you know the 000 Ravens something like that that's what this team would have to be if if if the Steelers are going to be any type they'll have to be that 2000 Ravens team where it was just all about defense and the offense just would try to manage enough to win the game that's how this team would have to be this is how bad I think it is for Pittsburgh this year but I think Toman for the first time in his professional career finishes below 500 you know I I I have to agree with that only because sad I think the AFC is a lot stronger and stuff so there's so many team you know burrow back you know Denver could make be maybe make a push with Bo as a sleeper no like as a late sleeper where Pittsburgh would be because I think the Chargers could obviously everybody has them high too so if there's going to be another team there's some of those small team like Denver that could slide up in there or if like say the Colts slide in there Jacksonville you know team so that's what I'm saying is is those could be one of those teams that they lose to because you know what I mean um what's the spread three and a half yeah I've got Falcons covering that yeah Falcon and I'm curious bud you know and I want to ask you this real quick I mean people are projecting big numbers for Kurt they're talking they're talking Bud they're talking 5,000 yards 5,000 I mean I don't see why he couldn't but at the same time the only thing I would say is I don't see 5,000 well I could see I could see him throw for 5,000 with the weapons he has but the problem is is he doesn't need that because he has a great running back too so yeah I mean he's going to probably throw for somewhere around I believe he's going to be in that 38 to 42,000 range somewhere around there I like that I like that 42,000 4,000 anywhere between like 3,800 to 4200 yeah I see that I see that I somewhere around there he'll have probably about 25 to 26 touchdowns um but beon is the key beon has to take away that from from Kurt he doesn't he you know Kurt doesn't need to be the play maker let be run the ball let him take some of that load off of you too you know what I mean so you have a great running back which not a lot of these teams have right now running backs are scarce in this league right now so when you have a great running back like they do like the 49ers do with mcaffrey you know what I mean like uh saquan now with Philadelphia you you have to let these guys help you out on that offensive side especially with with somebody like with Kurt where we know know that you know when it gets to in that clutch time sometimes he can make a mistake that can kind of hurt your team but he's got great players around him Drake London Kyle pittz we with him so we'll see what happens but I I agree with you I think they cover this one and definitely beat the Steelers week one uh next one we have is Jaguars at dolphins dolphins are three and a half uh favorite some people are calling for the Jags to sort of go in and pull off the little upset uh I got to see more out of Jacksonville I got to see that they're not the team that that sort of caved at the end of last season U before I can make that kind of call and I just don't know that Miami that you know they're a decent football team they they just have to learn how to beat the good football teams the good football teams and Jacksonville is an okay team they had the they were on the precipice of becoming a very good football team and then they collapse so I can't put them there that being said I just don't see Jacksonville being able to go in and do this not with the speed um I think Tu is motivated he's lost the weight um they still got the offensive Talent they're good on the defensive side of the ball too what's the spread on this game Bud three and a half for Miami I I'm gonna reluctantly take miam to cover this for some reason I feel like Jacksonville could play up to to competitive level and maybe sneak out a spread but I'm gonna go with Miami to cover I think two is motivated I think the dolphin remember Jacksonville is the only team this year that I have no idea what they're going to do I have no idea I can't figure this team out because like you said last year that that was that was terrible like I had I mean I had them running away with the division I didn't think anybody was going to be great um I thought obviously Str would just have his rookie moments so that he wouldn't be able to be as good or anything um but then you know he would get better as years went on but no I mean that that was terrible to watch what they did last year I don't know if Lawrence is actually going to be that guy for them or not they have etn they have good um wide receivers to throw to so maybe this is a bounceback year for them I'm thinking I don't know maybe but at the same time they could also be like we talked about third or even last in the division he does figure it out or if um if uh Anthony Richardson comes in and decides he wants to start playing some real ball and and make turn Indianapolis into a really good team Jacksonville's got some problems right so for me um I like what Miami's is doing I think um I'm high on Miami this year too I love Tua obviously I think Wadd and Tyreek are great for him I think they got a great Back Field the defense is good I I I don't see them having an issue covering this one I think they do win and they do cover for sure yeah uh next we got on the list is the Texans and the Colts we just talked about these two Houston is a three-point favorite on it yeah and I you know I know Richardson's got a few uh there's a few concerns with with Richardson because he didn't I watched part of this in the preseason he did make some poor uh past decisions uh didn't look incredibly good but he also you know he missed majority of last season so that's a contributing factor um I think this game has potential to be more competitive than people believe or maybe unless you're a Colt fan um you know thinking that probably can obviously be very very competitive but um I like Houston a lot I think this is a team that could challenge uh for not the best record in the AFC but could definitely be top three record wise but there's a lot that's got to happen for that um I think it's going to be a tough game for some reason it would not stun me first game of the season if some reason some bizarre reason the Colts pulled it out I just don't see it I'm so high on Houston this year I think Stout is that wasn't a one-year you know mistake this that that kid's a real deal Houston's a real deal and I I love this game yeah be I love that they put this game for week one I think it's great because it's both secondy Year guys Richardson's back um he showed such good upside when he first when we first played those first four games so I think this is going to be exciting I do think I do think the Texans cover because they probably do win by three anyways uh so um tough place to play though yeah India is tough but I I do see a good game from it but I just think I I don't I think since it's the first game back for Richardson I think stra still just a little bit better quarterback just a little bit better Talent at each position probably because I would still even at the running back position Jonathan Taylor still hasn't been that same guy that he was a couple of years ago I still would take Joe Mixon over Jonathan Taylor myself and then as far as the wide receiving core I do like the Texans receiving core over the Colts receiving core but they do have still I like Michael Pitman Jr but I still like Diggs better Alec Pierce but I still like Nico Collins better um they they's still quite a bit of you know they had a good rookie too that that could possibly make a splash for them but right now I I like the Texans still I'm high on the Texans myself you talked about your coach of the year um mine is demo I have demo Ryan as my coach of the year too my MVP was Lamar we talked about Baltimore already but yeah for me Demo Ryan I have his coach the year and I think he's going to prove it and this first game probably he show too yeah think that's that could be one of the better games of the first week and we already saw two good on so yeah uh next one Raiders at the chargers chargers are a three-point favorite I tell you what butd you talked about a team that's hard to figure out in Jacksonville this is a game that's hard to figure out period because menu you're not lying you know I like I like Gardner but he's and he's been a star he started in Jacksonville and was okay but I'll tell you what when when your best option at quarterback is Gardner menu I think you've got problems as an organization and I like Gardner I do he's a good guy affable and all that stuff decent quarterback but that could be a problem you lost you know you lost jacobe a running back you're you got a good defense but if you don't have an offense to back it up it's going to be a problem and I'm not seeing enough on the offensive side is you don't want to go uh you don't want to have your first year basically coach go into the year without a really good quarterback or at least a good quarterback at that point right I mean that if you don't if you if you're going in there like that and you're struggling at quarterback it's going to be very hard for him to succeed with that team and they don't have nothing they have nothing really at quarterback nothing even as a backup they've got nothing Aidan oconnell I believe is the other one I believe is the backup who kind of ended the year last year but you know it Pierce you know he's a defensive guy so maybe they maybe they're one of those teams that like the maybe they got to focus a little more on the defense then and try to get that better you know this is going to be you know Harbaugh's first game uh a lot of hype obviously um I think the fans are probably a little bit more excited than they should be I think it's going to be a transition they lost a lot of pieces um so it's not a quick fix even if you've got Harbaugh it's going to take time this game's in is this in La yeah what's the spread uh two and a half all sorry three three three oh man I could go with a push here I'll tell you what I'm gonna go with a push I like the Chargers to win but I'm gonna go with a push okay I think a field goal is almost perfect for this game yeah I could see I think I think the Chargers cover I think the Chargers cover I just I know I know I I'm not high on the Raiders anywhere I mean they have a good pass rush with Crosby secondary's never been great out there for him or anything like that uh Herbert needs to show he's better Harbaugh needs to have a better offense I mean honestly if I'm really thinking about it though the Chargers better win this game by the cover they better cover I mean they should win by like seven or 10 honestly in my opinion with with the new coach with the new offense with new everything like that playing a you know a depleted Raiders team you guys should win this game by at least seven 10 you convinced me but I'm going to go with the Chargers to cover yeah uh next we got the Cowboys and the Browns this one's interesting huh Cleveland is a two and a half Point favorite at home I'll tell you the one reason I I won't take Cleveland the defense is great there's the one one one player that's all I need to hear but already knows where I'm going with this he knows I don't like the guy I know he's just massively overrated has not earned one cent of the contract that Cleveland gave him deshun Watson will be the reason Cleveland loses this game Dallas is GNA win this game uh and now you know obviously don't you know the spread goes their way but I like Dallas to win this I just feel I still I feel bad for Garrett I really do and some of the guys on that defense that's a good defense and they're getting undermined obviously they got the they got the injuries at running back I get that but your biggest crutch is your quarterback your biggest freaking crutch is your two billion doll quarterback yeah I know I'm not I'm not a fan of Desa either but man if he even shows some sort of a some sort of like a Houston deshun Watson with that receiving core that they have now with Elijah Moore Jerry Judy and Amari Cooper and David njoku at tight end like that's crazy insane as to what you could think about now with that division now if Cleveland does become good then you know adios Pittsburgh then right at that point because if Pittsburgh finds a way to be good and if Cincinnati if Joe's Joe we've already seen Baltimore play they seem to be you know very good this year hey bud it's it's going to be tough to your point real quick let's say let's say DeShawn does finally decides to ball out and let's say Fields might find some way to just get him a little above average play him with some decent ton on the off side you got the defense potentially that Division if that played out could be possibly the most competitive division of football if that all played out if it all played out yeah it could I don't think it's I've always said it though myself I'm the one that's always said it too I've always said anytime those teams play each other any time of the year no matter how good or how bad one of the teams may be than the other it's always a fight it is always a fight it doesn't matter it could be Baltimore who's going in the game 12 and0 going against the Browns who are 0 and 12 and the Browns could still find a way to win or they would keep it close and just beat the hell out of them they just they don't like each other in the divisions at all none of those teams like each other get along with each other you know they're out there trying to win and and beat the heck out of each other and it's going back even to when these all these teams first start coming leag back in the day you know Ray Lewis with the Ravens they used to get into it with Chad and them you know with the Bengals teams and Eddie George and and Ray Lewis didn't like each other when they played against each they just were out to try to beat each other in that Division I wonder sometimes but you know Cincinnati made it to the ball you know a few seasons ago Pittsburgh and in go 45 was her last I wonder sometimes if this division they just don't beat themsel they don't beat each other up so bad that come playoff time they just don't have enough juice left I mean yeah I mean it very well could be oh it's crazy but it' be interesting to see what Happ if those scenarios Play Out Boy what a division that could be yeah we'll see for sure I mean I I have I do have Cowboys like you I think Cowboys win this game anyways I mean so yeah definitely Cleveland's not covering that uh moving on I this was one of the games we talked about earlier uh you know commanders at bucks bucks are a three and a half Point favorite um you know I do still have the Bucks winning this game I that that's three and a half is tough on that one but um I'm going to go Tampa but I don't think they cover I think Jaden's going to find a way to keep this game closed I like I said I do think Tampa Bay does win it though um I do like Tampa Bay in that Division I know a lot of people are high on Atlanta which a lot of regards too I I I understand why Atlanta a lot of people are high on him too but Baker showed me a lot last year um that's the reason why he got signed that's the reason why he signed a contract right got PA money this is coming from a man who was at the top of the I don't think Baker can cut it this I mean bud did not think Baker was anything even going back to Collins so for this gentleman to endorse Baker that speaks volumes about how baker has come along and I'm dead serious on because Anthony has called it on this guy from the get and he finally said no Baker's actually showing me something so to hear this gentleman say that you take that into consideration that's a big statement for but to say Baker's you know he's playing pretty good ball they got the new contract they got so many weapons on that offensive side they do they got Kate Aon at tight end Mike EV Mike Evans has been one of the most consistent wide receivers in the last 10 years it ISE last year he he had about he had 1250 something yards and he had he was finished second or he finished first with tou in touchdowns last year and nobody probably would have known that is a beast man he's never pushed the button on on trade me you know you know he's he's put out there but he's he said you know I'll ride with he played with some bad quarterback he had James Winston there yeah yeah I mean he's played with the best and he's played with some of the really really bad I'm gonna go with you but on this um I am going to give Tampa the cover uh but if they can't quite figure out jayen you know because they don't have a lot of game pill on him uh that could work in Washington's favor so maybe they keep it on spread that's the only real reason why I think they can maybe not not cover the spread is because when you don't have game film and say you know sometimes even when a broken play goes down the fact that you have a guy that's mobile and can kind of move around he can always take off to try to make a play right so those are the kind of big things where it's like that that key third and four you didn't get him he gets the first down to kind of keep the play going right where it could have been a turnover and then he scored so that could be it too you know so I I I'm with you I don't think Buccaneers cover but I do have them winning the game interesting game then we also so the last uh afternoon game would be the bronos Seahawks game uh Seattle is a six-point favorite right now over Den yeah I think uh and again you know we've talked about this you know where I'm at with everything with Bo and stuff and I think I hope he's a good dude I've heard nothing but good things about him as a person uh good you know boyfriend husband whatever Family Guy has got his values he is a talented quarterback he's obviously as you mentioned he's a little older than the typical rookie coming into the league um Seattle's a tough place to play you and I both know this they got that 12th man that's no joke that's no joke I feel like that's the only reason why this this spread is at a six yeah because I I kind of feel like it's a little bit disrespect I would have been okay with like a four four and a half even if you wanted to be high on it but six well Seattle showed recently to to prove that they're anywhere if not in the same tier as a Denver team right now yeah but you know what bud I think that leans itself towards uh the fact that B's a rookie and he hasn't experienced this like and that's not a detriment the other thing is there are other rookies that are playing this year against some others and and they're not getting I mean Caleb Williams is a is a favorite I know he's playing Tennessee but still he's a favorite we just talked about Jaden and even B against Baker Jaden against Baker is still only a three and a half no and those are good points but I just think it's it's it's that Lions Den atmosphere you go into it's it's hard to play it's like going into Kansas City you know it's listen to that game in Kansas City the other night even on the TV it was like this is insane it must sound like a freaking jet going off in that Stadium right yeah and I get it it is a tough place to play and and maybe six maybe Seattle does cover um that's all off of off of the Nicks play right it is it is bud because if Nick if Nick comes out and he actually does what he's supposed to do and plays really well I mean this could be a really good game it could like a 2421 type of a game yeah if this game flipped and they put it in Denver I could actually see Denver being favored by maybe two points the three for the home Absol I do like to spread because of the atmosphere because Bo's a rookie uh so I do like s to win and cover uh but I think it'd be a good learning experience for both see again like we talk about yeah I don't think Seattle's gonna cover this I'm not taking Seattle cover I think and actually to be honest with you I think Denver wins the game wow okay Denver I'm Pi Denver I think is gonna go I think Nicks is gonna prove to everybody that they that he can actually do this I think he is I think he's going to be poised I think he's I don't think he I don't think he makes a mistake either and by a mistake though I mean like I don't think he throws an interception or he fumbles oh I think will uh I don't think he'll throw one because but I think he will make a mistake as far as like missing some receivers or like missing a big play or like an overthrow um when he maybe had a touchdown that will be a mistake he makes but I don't think he'll make like an interception or a fumble mistake I'll be curious to see how sean utilizes him with his legs well that's the thing that I like is with him is he he's so mobile and when you have a quarterback like that and you can get him outside this is why I don't think he'll make that many mistakes because once if you're a quarterback when you're in the pocket you feel like you're more like you have to get rid of it because you don't want to take the sack or you don't want to get hit but when you're mobile and outside you have that tendency more to be like okay nothing's there I'm just going to throw it away so I think that's why it's a little bit easier for him with Shawn Payton's scheme to be more mobile to kind of move you're probably going to do a lot more option type stuff um that you can throw the ball away then make a mistake and force something and I don't see Bo being that guy either of being a forcer um he's he's got a pretty good IQ from what I hear and understand yeah so I don't see him making that mistake plus he's older right so he's he's got a little bit more knowledge a little bit better IQ which could probably help him which is that's why I'm saying I like I said I think he'll miss some throws but I don't think he'll make a mistake as far as stri like an interception or fumble yeah see last thing I'll say about this but we talked about this at the very very start of the podcast with not playing in the preseason or at least playing against Pilla defenses and those type of things and that's where I think you could see a pick I say possibly two because he gets forced out of the pocket that type of thing he's going to finally begin to see re real defensive schemes that he hasn't seen yet and that's all rookies folks it's not just Bo it's going to be a Caleb everybody's going to see for the first time real defenses and trust us I mean no not that Anthony I have played but we seen enough football to know defenses you're not you get vanilla this vanilla that in the preseason that's what you're supposed yeah Denver should definitely scheme for a lot ofit they're gonna a lot I still think Bo is gonna have a solid game 275 I could see two touchdowns I'm gonna say two touchdowns in a pick 275 well if he throws 275 they should win the game 275 I mean I was thinking more of like a like a two 235 240 and a touchdown and then you know jaante too because javant they have javante so I think javante should try to is gonna try to run the ball obviously more because you got that's the one thing is when you have a rook qut you're going to run the ball more I I expect them to run the ball more um probably a little more options because they have a guy like B that that can move that can move with the with the running backs and stuff so yeah but I am going with Denver on this one I think we I like it but I like it uh and then I think to me this is this is the biggest game even though we know we have the Monday night game and obviously we had the Chiefs game already but for Sunday this is the biggest game it's Sunday night games Ram Rams at the Lions and and Matt Matt's coming back to Detroit Go's obviously playing the Rams again um we talked about both these team this is basically a huge game already in week one right because we've talked about I already asked you I've been kind of wondering what's the what you know what's the big thing on the Ram do the Rams prove that they're able to stick around or they're going to be here and pull off the upset um or is Detroit going to prove that they're actually going to be dominant this year and take the Rams out or both these teams going to show that they're going to be good and we're going to see a hell of a game like I can see this game easily being 3431 when it's all said and done right Detroit's Detroit's a four and a half Point favorite on this one too that's a tough Sprint four and a half that's a tough one that is kind of surprising um I like Detroit here I'll tell you what this this this could be I thought I I thought you were leaning towards a jet game but I get you but I agree with you this is the big game of the week this is the big game of the week what's left anyway the Kansas City Baltimore game was huge um Detroit's got something to prove here as great as they were last year they know they had that game one they had that championship game we talked about this while was going on game over Detroit's going to the Bowl they've got San Francisco be so they were there they were it was done Detroit's on a mission I think they know how close they got they know they're ready they know they've got the talent they're a Super Bowl team the uh don't want to let the Rams and they played the Rams in the playoffs last year and it was a good game but this is a different atmosphere it's Monday night the fans are hyped it's going to be you know lit as they say um but I think Detroit's up for the task I think they'll actually I'm going to say they cover it's it's kind of like I said they have them picked to this being the highest scoring game too I mean the total for the points over is 52 and a half so that's the highest for this week other than it looks like the new the bills Cardinals game they have that at 47 and a half 48 and a half for the Dolphins Jaguars 48 and a half for the Texans Colts but other than that the highest right now is that game at 52 and a half so like I said these these two offenses could light it up that's the thing you could see that um it's a huge game I I am taking the lions in this game and because of the fact that the way I have the Lions playing this year I think I don't I'm not high on the Rams like I told everybody I'm not I'm not as huge on them um so I do think that Detroit wins and I do I'm going to have to pick them to cover this one they and they should if they are going to win the Super Bowl like I said they have to be dominant Detroit to be dominant so if if if the Rams are supposed to be as good as everybody says then go in there and prove everybody wrong and go and beat them by you know 10 go and beat them by you know you know 14 whatever it is go in there beat them by two touchdowns and say no we are here Rams aren't that team you know I get it and it's going to suck because you know Stafford's coming home the people are going to be excited to see him but at the same time it's like nope sorry you're a ram now you're not a Detroit we got golf golf's been taking care of us we're here we're ready to go we're fighting for for a Super Bowl this year I want to see that I want to see a 14-point win yeah and you know Stafford wants to come in and make a point I mean that's that's you know stick it to him so to speak type thing I get it but I agree with you I Detroit particularly at home you got to put teams down and out make a statement let everybody know you don't want to come here you do not want to play us here at all period and what we do on the road we'll do because we know we can win on the road but you do not want to come here because you're not going to win don't care who you are you're not winning in this house I think M Detroit's on a mission I think that they know they know what it feels like they know they're close so I'm excited I'm in totally P for Detroit definitely definitely last game for the week Monday night Jets at the ners ners are a four and a half Point favorite Rogers playing again week one on Monday night I mean going home no nothing bad could happen right I tell you tell you what I and I don't Rogers isn't I don't think he's not taking the Jets to the Super Bowl he's not Jets have a solid freaking defense they've got one of the best defenses in the league they really do offensively they can do some things if if if they can protect Rogers and let him stand up and do what he knows how to do as far as efficiency and things like that they're not winning this game they're not beating the 49ers uh I just I don't see it um and I think the 49ers can cover um I think it'll be a good game I think you know the the Jets have some Talent they got a good coach um and we'll just you know but Rogers isn't he's not going to take you to the Super Bowl folks that time is gone he can get you to the playoffs if he's healthy but the whole super worldl thing has got to go the 49ers I hope they're not on the back end of this but I really don't I I'm that's why I told you I think you know if the Rams everything plays out defensively I I hope the R I hope the ners aren't on the back end of this of this you know this uh consistency so to speak because it seems like I don't know it just seems like it's starting to WAN a little bit and I hope it's not you know could understand what you're saying not against the Jets and and I agree and here's the thing for me the key for the Jets for the season is Rogers and the game yeah the key for the Jets this week for me though though if they want to win is what does Bree Hall do that's the key for me I think because here's the thing is they already know the 49ers n Rogers and Wilson he's going to want to try to air it out they're going to want to see what Aaron can do coming back but at the same time if the Jets are smart if you can run the ball against San Francisco try not to throw it against them you know what I mean but if you can with Bree Hall can can run the ball and get somewhere close to 80 90 even if he hits 100 it's going to be you know lights out for possibly the 49ers I like because I I I I just I feel like if you're running the ball against the ners then the defense is not playing well um which could be rough but at the same time I love py I love the offense I think it could be very back and forth um for sure um but more back and forth to the point where it's like you know it's still going to be somewhat low scoring but you know people will get down to their area and they'll have to punt or something get down the air punt a field goal and it just be back and forth right because they have two great defenses right uh two good quarterbacks going against each other I mean there're both teams have very good teams all around so that's what's going to make it very good but I I like the coaching better for San Francisco I like the running back play more for San Francisco um that's kind where I take the edge a little bit to take San Francisco in this game and to cover I think San Francisco wins and will cover the spread on this one but the Jets are still there and I I know you said Mike that the Jets aren't going to Super Bowl and everything a lot of people have projected them to make an AFC Championship Game even get to Super Bowl 2 but I don't know the one thing for me if Rogers is Rogers with the weapons that he has he could he definitely could he could yeah and like I said it's all about what how good the defense actually really does Salah needs to step up as a as a coach uh and really take leadership really you know keep this team on the right track especially Rogers right he's already been off the track with you know on the offseason going and doing his therapy thing whatever it was sitting in the dark room for however many days and then he didn't show up to the OTAs or whatever and you know they said it wasn't no show basically and all this and that so it's like keep the team on the right track like don't let don't let Rogers overtake this team just because he's Aaron Rogers you're still in charge you're still the coach don't let him run like in in Green Bay fine whatever they kind of let him run it I mean he was the face of the whole entire franchise but he's not the face of the Jets right now he hasn't even played yet but how many Downs has a jet anyway so you don't have that you don't have that you know seniority as a jet to sit here and say that you have control over everything go in there play the game show them you could still do this and see if maybe you can do something for these Jets team that they haven't had in a long time help them out see what you can do but if not then they're just going to be at same mediocre team as well yeah and you may you used the perfect word when you were talking about Rogers but we talked about this before all in it folks jet pans this is your reality with Aaron it's it's all about could he had one season of did Super Bowl 45 everything else has been a could mm that's his resume could absolutely one with one did and that's to me unfortunately you can say all you want and I actually have the Jets getting to the AFC Championship Game folks believe it or not but that's as far as it goes because again Aaron is a could he's not a do one time and in that career that for me is not make you 10 time or 10 of the best quarterbacks ever one of the 10 best ever I'm sorry so we'll see like but said I mean it it could but if that's your resume that's not very impressive so we'll see what happens absolutely absolutely well guys we're getting towards the end here but I did promise that we would let you guys know who we picked um like Mike said he did have in the AFC Championship Game Baltimore and I mean uh sorry uh Casey or Cincy and the Jets correct that was your AFC in NFC you have Detroit and Sam Fran correct uh I think it's actually Los Angeles I think Rams correct correct Rams okay and then you have we talked about it already you had obviously the Bengals and lions moving on so who did you have winning the Super Bowl then this year Mike yeah folks real quick again this all comes down to Joe Singh healthy obviously everybody's staying healthty for c for Cincinnati particularly the offensive line if they can block for this guy Joe's motivated I think that's going to carry uh it's a tough road to Ho in the AFC but Joe's a good quarterback when he's healthy I think this is the year I took Cincinnati to beat Detroit now I'll tell you this I like both but if that is the game I will root for Detroit I like Cincinnati I love Joe but I I I want Detroit to win a Super Bowl so I'm with you lion fans I'm with you but I gotta go Cincinnati I think Joe's on a freaking Mission he's tired of hearing the naysayers can't stay healthy can't do this I think he's on a mission Cincinnati wants to in a close close football game but go lions and for me I have Kansas City playing Baltimore um with and the Lions playing uh the ners and I do have Baltimore knocking off Kansas City to then play Detroit in the Super Bowl but I do have Baltimore winning the Super Bowl um it does suck like Mike said but there there's just something still about Detroit and until I can see that Campbell makes those changes and he's not going to go into a game that's of that magnitude and go for on a fourth down that maybe you shouldn't um cuz there's always a time right time and a right place to go for on fourth down and sometimes Campbell just hasn't figured it out yet um so if for me I just feel like if until he could show me unless he does show it then maybe they do have a chance to beat a Baltimore and they do have a chance to beat a Kansas City if they meet up with them again um that would be huge and they could possibly win a Super Bowl but for this year um even this was we had made these picks too guys just so you guys know before the game um was played um on Thursday um we had already talked about all these picks so it's not like we're just going off of that game that we've seen too um so I did have Lamar and I do have Lamar as my MVP this year um and I think he would be Super Bowl MVP too and I think it's just going to add to his legacy um on top of that too but we we'll see guys I mean like I said this is these are predictions for this year please let us know in the comments what you guys have uh who you're rooting for this year who you're keeping an eye on this year like we like I talked about I'm going to be keeping an eye on Jaden Daniels um as far as games this week I think Mike and I are keeping a big eye on for one of the morning games is that Houston uh Colts game obviously a huge game for Sunday night for us before we had to head back to work kind of get relaxed watching a great you know Lions Rams game um but in the end we're excited right football is back NFL is back um so it's fun it's fun it's nice to have this back it kind of feels like after you know all the stuff that you deal with you know nowadays and it's an election year type stuff and we don't get political or anything on here at all but it is an election year people are always a little weirder around this time of the year and stuff so it kind of the football coming back kind of makes everything back to normal a little bit right for some people it kind of just brings it back a little bit to to some normaly but but once again guys let us know we appreciate you guys checking us out uh we should be back yeah real quick I did not forget no Trad game fans you got some problems you got some real problems you're the number five team in the country and you can't beat Northern Illinois you lose 16 to 14 and you're the one of the greatest franchises of schools in history and you can't beat Northern Illinois at home oh this is a sad day yeah I gotta tell you I actually I kind of rejoice in that because I really you know and it's sad because I grew up a Notre Dame fan Joe thyman all that stuff Joe Montana I mean I love Notre Dame but then you guys got the contract with MBC everything went to your head it was all about Notre Dame refuse to join a conference because you're too good too great nothing won't do it we're better than everybody else this is this is what you get it's called your comeuppance because you just think you're too good for everybody in every other conference and you're so great that you just blew your playoff chances with a loss in Northern or Northern Illinois at home so enjoy uh I'll send you a wreath uh something like that to to commiserate the moment but uh through it all I'll still be smiling because this is what you get when you carry that type of arrogance so maybe next year folks
