[Music] so a significant PlayStation 5 graphics showcase is now live along with a PlayStation 5 Pro performance leak we're going to talk about a lot of interesting stuff there PlayStation 5 Pro shuts down PC talk and a new big update for the PlayStation 5 is out now with a great new feature those are the stories we're going to cover today and if you could hit that like button on the video thank you to those that do it and as always it's very much appreciated first yes or no is the $700 PlayStation 5 Pro worth it to you or not I've seen the conversation online going back and forth on the PlayStation 5 Pro where there are people who do find it worth the price and are buying it others who don't find it worth the the price but are still buying it anyways and then you have other people who just are not buying the console period and don't find it worth it I'm curious what the result is here so comment below yes or no if you think the $700 PlayStation 5 Pro is worth it or not let me know down in the comments below now diving into the first story of the video the PlayStation 5 major update 10.0 is now live with a great new feature so for anyone who's new to the channel I usually cover updates like that the day they go live I didn't get a chance to do that yesterday because I had two doctor's appointments before anyone does no need to worry about that I'm fine but let's just dive into this story here so this update finally launched I was honestly wondering what was going on with the next major update because they were taking a bit longer than usual to launch this thing I will say this is another minor update even though it's a major number but they did include something I was hoping they would which is the welcome hub for everyone so let's get through the other features first party share is the first feature here you can now share links to your party chat to people not even in your friends list give them a link and they can join in right away via the PlayStation app or PlayStation 5 there's also going to be an app update in the coming weeks to allow you to share links via that as well they now mention beta features specifically here which makes me wonder if going forward more features will be coming that might not be in the beta we'll see it looks like that right now to refresh everyone on the beta features personalized 3D audio is Sony's new audio tech on your PlayStation 5 that allows you to run through multiple rounds of testing to hear various sounds from various Direction and you can let the PlayStation 5 know how you personally hear those sounds it'll take this information and adjust the 3D audio settings to fit your ear setup I've used this feature and honestly I haven't noticed a big difference from normal 3D audio even switching back and forth and retesting myself to see if that changes anything again that could be a different experience for you so of course give it a try enable remote play for the individual user just as the name says you can now limit which user can use Remote Play on your PlayStation 5 adaptive charging for your controller which was just a PlayStation 5 Slim feature before obviously now it's also a PS5 Pro feature as well uh what this does is it charges your controller in rest mode but only up to what the controller needs so if your controller is at 70% it'll charge for 30 more and stop charging to save power and now we come back to the welcome Hub and this is the feature I care about the most year since it's only been a US feature entire time this is your console snapshot dashboard where you can adjust a bunch of widgets to what you care about when it comes to your PlayStation 5 experience you care more about seeing who's online and your messages you can put widgets for that you care about trophies you can put widgets for that basically there are widgets that you can customize to Showcase what you care about on your PlayStation 5 in a snapshot dashboard setup you can also change your hubs background and this is where it stings a bit you can have live wallpapers but only here Sony please just give us themes across the UI or even just at least give us live wallpapers across the entire UI I think live wallpapers across the UI is something feasible I and I hope this is an initial testing for that let's see please just give us something like that across the entire UI this feature dropped for select users in the US yesterday and over the coming weeks it will roll out globally starting with with Japan and then Europe and then everyone else I honestly have no clue what PlayStation's beef is with Canada but here we are that's everything and if you're enjoying the video so far hit that subscribe button and join our growing community on our way to 150,000 subscribers now diving into the second story of the video PS5 Pro PC shutdown so since the beginning of this PS5 Pro announcement and honestly even before that you've had people talking about making an equivalent PC to the PlayStation 5 Pro recently this question was asked of digital foundry's owned Richard lead better over at IGN and the answer is pretty much what we kind of already knew he pretty much said that an equivalent PC would cost a fair bit more his exact words he focused on the fact that the pro has advanced right tracing that's not currently in any AMD GPU it has a dedicated machine learning block which is also so not in the AMD gpus he compared it to an Nvidia style setup mixed with AMD he stated the closest GPU would be nvidia's RTX 470 and be and pointed out that the cheapest one he found on Amazon was going for $540 and beyond that you have to get a CPU motherboard memory power supply case 2 tby SSD Etc the GPU alone is $540 only6 $60 cheaper than the PlayStation 5 Pro the GPU alone basically in the end this is all to say that what you're getting in the PlayStation 5 Pro you can't build an equivalent PC for that same price and this is also without including how good pssr could be again it also could not be the greatest off that but based off the images we've seen so far from digital Foundry and the high quality video that we've seen over at IGN which we're going to talk about in a sec it's looking pretty good so far but you guys let me know if you game on PC or not let me know down in the comments below and now diving into the final story of the video the PlayStation 5 Pro graphic showcase and the PS5 Pro performance leaks so first off the graphic showcase this was awesome to see and I don't know why Sony didn't Supply this off bat but right now you can go over to IGN and watch a high bit rate version of the PlayStation 5 Pro revie feel this is significant because it gives you a much better look as to how the PlayStation 5 Pro stands up against the base PlayStation 5 when it comes to Fidelity again the PlayStation 5 Pro is running at 60 FPS while the bass is running at 30 it's honestly impressive how good it looks and it gives me a bit of confidence in pssr which is the upscaler from Sony in some cases the PlayStation 5 pro version looks a bit better which was surprising to see but I'll leave that to digital Foundry to break down down when it comes to image quality beyond that we also got a PlayStation 5 Pro performance leak which is also impressive according to moris La Dead who spoke to a certain developer they stated that it's easy to play around with the PlayStation 5 Pro where you essentially move sliders up and down to bump up uh bump up resolution or performance he got early testing footage for a new game running on PlayStation 5 Pro compared to the base PlayStation 5 and stated that the PS5 was running at 1080p to 1600p at mix of medium and high settings and could barely hit 60fps the PS5 Pro without pssr that's the big piece here without using pssr ran at 600p to 4K with all settings set to Max quality and it ran at a lock 60fps that's impressive this game with pssr could achieve for sure that 4K visual at 68 FPS apparently the developer also testing a 120 HZ mode on PS5 Pro as well which is amazing to hear but most people like myself will be using that 4K 60 mode one thing I do want to note about pssr is that mors Law's dead stated it recently got an update because developers were complaining about image quality I hope this new update fixes those issues because what we've seen so far from the reveal and the screenshots from digital Foundry it's looking like it's worth working really well but you guys let me know if you're excited to hear about the PS5 Pros performance or you don't
