"I Am Sam." (Dakota laughing) You're not like other daddies. I'm Dakota Fanning, I have been acting since I was six and I've been very lucky to be in quite a few movies and TV shows, so let's see how well I remember my lines. "Uptown Girls." For sure. I was eight when I made "Uptown Girls." Obviously the biggest
thing about Uptown Girls is Brittany Murphy, who
I miss all the time, and when I was that age
I looked at Brittany and I just was like, you are
so beautiful and glamorous and fun and like effervescent and kind, and her wardrobe in the movie was so fun and I just, everything about
it, I just worshiped her. I play a character named
Ray who's very uptight and precocious. I usually don't like that word. I think I say that line in
the bathroom of the club. Even at that age, getting to say these like ridiculous lines for a child. Definitely trying to be an adult. Oh that's "Twilight." That's one of the Twilights, right? Jane? Yeah, "Eclipse." Either we let them do what
they were created for, or we end them. Decisions, decisions. Just playing a villain
and like an evil character was super fun, and getting to be a
little bit of a part of the phenomenon that was "Twilight." "Ripley." Dickie's ring is in here. Yes, that is from "Ripley." Marge Sherwood. That moment is sort of a
pretty climactic moment in the series, and doing that scene was super intense. We were filming in this palazzo in Venice and loved the experience
of getting to be Marge. "The Cat In The Hat." You had your real hat this whole time. Mike Myers played the cat. I played Sally. Spencer Breslin played my brother Conrad. You might have stumped me there. I don't know...
(buzzer sounds) Oh, okay, yeah, all right. "The Secret Life of Bees." Just really, yeah, a lot of
beautiful women in that cast and we all developed a
really wonderful bond. Open it. What was I... What have I tried to open in the past? - [Producer] "Coraline." - Oh, okay. Yeah, "Coraline." Oh my God, yeah. - Go on. Open it. They'll be there all right. - It's the 15th anniversary
of "Coraline" this year. Worked on "Coraline" from like 9 or 10 and up until it came out when I was 15. We would get done recording
all the lines for a script, and I'd be like, "Okay, well we're done." You'd be like, "All right,
well see you in a few months. We'll do it all again." I was like, "Do it all again?" Like, okay. People really love that movie and so it's an honor
to have been Coraline. Why am I not able to do this anymore? I was doing so good. My brain is shutting down. - [Producer] "Once Upon
a Time in Hollywood." - Oh God. Okay, yeah. Why am I doing better with the older ones and worse with the more recent ones? That's kind of alarming. Yes, I play Squeaky Fromme, Quentin Tarantino's "Once
Upon a Time in Hollywood." I'm telling Brad Pitt that he has picked the wrong time to visit because my boyfriend
George is taking a nap. It was a real serious dream of mine to work with Quentin Tarantino. It was like one of those dreams that you almost dare not speak out loud. It was just something in my own head that I kept in my heart. And also getting to work with Brad Pitt was not too difficult either. Well, you're kind of... Are you going sort of
chronologically, like, "The Alienist?" No. - [Producer] "The Equalizer 3." - Oh God, yes. Right. You don't look like you sound. - Why can't I remember the recent things? Like, I can remember everything
from seven years old, but I'm having a hard time remembering when I was 29, a year ago. This is bad news. "Equalizer 3." I got to work with Denzel again. He is one of my closest friend's dads, so I've seen him over the years. That's "The Perfect Couple." That's one of my favorite lines. He was loaded and five foot six. I'm sure they were very much in love. I just love that line. I say that in the police station, giving some backstory
on that I know Merritt, Meghann's character, and she is one crazy lady, Abby. But it was delicious to play. Watch me in the new limited
series "The Perfect Couple," only on Netflix.
