LSU Tigers vs USC Trojans 2024 Football Preview

hey what's going on man Goose Sports here got another video for you and uh LSU inions are going to battle Sunday is here uh game week is here and uh we'll look at uh what we got in store here for us Sunday so both these teams I think are very similar as last year both these teams had some had had horrible defenses and they had prolific offenses but uh a lot of changes for both these teams uh J Daniels is gone Caleb Williams is gone for USC so both team both teams are going to replace uh Heisman winning quarterbacks both teams are replacing replacing their leading rusher as know USC Marshon ly on to the NFL now Logan dig I'm I'm talking about running backs here Logan dig was our RSU was leading rusher but he transferred to Old Miss so uh you know curious to see if can can Caleb Jackson become that Ball Carrier the number one ball carrier for LSU uh I think he's the most talented player for LSU but uh we'll see as USC as uh they got the transfer is uh woody woody marks out of Mississippi State uh believe he's going to be their uh believe he's going to be their star at running back Miller Moss is going to be a quarterback for USC he had a really good bowl game Garrett NM had a good bowl game for LSU as well so it's it's going to be really interesting to see what quarterback limits the mistakes as of course LSU is replacing replacing uh mid League neighbors Brian Thomas they both going to the NFL and USC is not Taj Washington uh he's on to I believe he got drafted by the Dolphins I believe I'm not sure I think I think the Dolphins got drafted by and also uh Brendan rice also got drafted by the Chargers so both their leading pass catchers are onto the NFL also just like LSU so they're going to have uh they're going to have some new faces at uh at receiving Corp is they're going to have a well I mean I think some of these guys played last year but these weren't their leading pass catchers but they look like LSU know they've got some guys that got some playing time they got some talent but it's going to be who's going to step up to be that one number one receiver for USC and LSU as Duce Robinson uh jacobe Lane Zachariah branch maai lemon there's uh that probably the starting four for USC and over of course for LSU you're going to have CJ Daniels transfer Chris Hilton Kiren Lacy uh you're I'm pretty sure you're going to see Aaron Anderson zavon Thomas Kyle Parker Shelton Samson I think those those are the guys that you're going to see for LSU as some of those guys are going to have to step up and be the number one number two number three receiver uh curious to see how LS l got a lot of talent just like USC in receiving core so some of these guys are just going to get uh they they this is to be their first time that they're going to be like they're going to be the guys on the field so uh I mean I think it's going be a really good game I think this is going to be a high scoring game I don't think either defense is going to improve as much as we're going to see like a 24 21 game I'll be I'll be surpris if we see I think both these teams are going to score 30 points I have a lot of question marks for both these defenses um just can't see how they're going to going to improve uh you know that drastically in one off season uh you know Lincoln Riley hasn't I mean he's seemed like he always has a you know pretty B bad defense even when he was at Oklahoma he's had some bad defenses and he's had some bad defenses at USC uh Brian Kelly uh had a horrible defense last season his first year at LSU the defense was adequate I think I think we had a little more Talent especially uh in the secondary that year in 2022 than we did last year but um I think LSU has a lot of question marks on the defensive line can they get pressure on the quarterback our secondary a lot of question marks a lot of uh this guys that just uh haven't done it uh you know they just haven't performed at a high level consistently enough so that's why I think this is going to be a high-scoring game I think this is going to be going to come down to which quarterback limits the turnovers hopefully you know for for my sake that Garrett nus me doesn't throw uh you know three four interceptions on the come Sunday hopefully we can hopefully we can affect the quarterback LSU can can affect the quarterback and uh maybe call some turnovers that's one thing our our secondary just did not do much of last year was intercept the football I think we I think we only had a handful of interceptions with our secondary last season so um and like I said we I mean we also didn't get much pressure on the quarterback uh Matt house took a lot of heat but LSU revamp LSU has revamped their whole defensive coaching staff they fired everybody on the defensive coaching staff they brought back Cory Raymond uh so Blake Baker comes in so it's going to be interesting to see how LSU and USC how they perform Sunday but uh I think I think this I think this is going to be a high scoring game I say both teams are going to get in thir I say lf2 wins by 3 3431 that's just my prediction you know don't quote me on that uh just you know everybody's got a everybody's got opinion right but uh I'll be live for the game on Sunday hope to see a lot of you here for that and hey man look it's going to be a good game I don't I don't send look both teams both fan bases uh have those uh those idiots who think that this is going to be a blowout either way I don't see it I just don't think that this uh I just don't think that um either defense is going to stop I don't think either defense is going to stop uh one another consider like like in the 20s I don't think we're going to see that kind of defensive performance um I just don't I I I want to I want to see it to believe it with LSU I know they've been talking all offseason how the defense is going to be changing yada yada yada you know but but I'll believe it when I see it so and same USC I believe it when Lincoln rley has a know a top-notch defense cuz just he's seems like he never has a top-notch defense I know that one year in uh 2019 he had a and when they played LSU I know LSU I knew LSU blew him out in that Peach Bowl but that year he actually had a decent enough defense that year but I know Joe burrow Joe burrow that year and LSU offense was on another level so not many not many people stopped that offense that year so but um you guys have a good one I'll see you for the game on Sunday and go tigas
