Well, our weather impact team is expecting tropical storm Francine to become a hurricane before it makes landfall. Yeah, we're roughly 24 hours away from that landfall in Louisiana and the news is better for our neighbors to the east. You see Francine is about 400 miles off the coast of Morgan City. It's expected to become a hurricane. Now, last night, it looked like the storm could even strengthen to a category two before landfall. But now it appears there's more wind shear in the northern coast of the Gulf and it's gonna keep Francine a category one. Governor Greg Abbott says even though models show the storm will not make landfall in Texas right now, Texans should take precautions. One thing that we've learned is that the predicted pathway of a storm like this doesn't always turn out to be true as a result. We need to be prepared for the possibility uh that conditions could change, that could cause the storm to move a little bit further to the west. Uh with uh increased danger to parts of Texas. The governor said, while people in Houston might be anxious about losing power again. He says center point has made changes and knows it is under a microscope.
