Phil a 3-0 win on Darby day against shuy town just how was it watching on from the sideline today first of all we we knew what it meant to everybody today um another rivalry between the two clubs and it was important we were conscious of that uh but equally focused on on what we had to do out on the pitch once once the whistle went and I thought in the main we controlled the game really well scored some really good goals um we had probably the only period as when we scored the first goal we kind of got a bit frantic in our defending gave some free kicks away and invite the ball in our own box but that was probably the only criticism really um I thought all around it was a very controlled performance from us and uh yeah naturally we're very pleased aside from what you've just touched on there to get another 3-0 victory at the Stoke kiras it feels like a pretty special time to be involved with the club at the moment doesn't it yeah that's right you know the the kind of uh Full House again and the atmosphere just I want always want the lads to thrive on that and enjoy that kind of big match day atmosphere cuz it felt like that when you walked in the stadium today I came here about half1 12 and you could even feel them there was a great feeling around the place everyone was looking forward to the game and and the lads have really handled that very well and uh played some great football and you know the first goal again you know everything we spoke about where we felt we could hurt Sho we did Finding Elliot in that little pocket and Jimmy in a great position and bod's in the Box again and a superb finish from Molly and do you think that sort of support brings the best out of your players on a Saturday um yeah I think the lads Thrive with with the one the expectancy to the the match day atmosphere and you know everyone was speaking about this being a big game and we know it was a derby and and it was a heightened atmosphere because of that I feel we're a team who's used to playing under that kind of extra pressure of um packed houses and uh we enjoy it and I think we showed that today I know it's something not something you take much notice of but top of the table after today's result while it is early stages it must be a pleasing sight for you yeah of course you know it's a good start for us it really is we know it's just that but equally you know there's been some good performances in in the first five games each game is offer as a different challenge we knew shoy today would come off and sit behind the barn we'd have to find solutions to break them down I felt we did that really well and we've we've had a lot of games over the years where teams have done that and it's very important that at times we've got to show patience but equally miss mix our game up as well and I thought that mixture of going into oi and playing short and switching the play is really good today and uh you know we looked a dangerous team you know in possession and to speak about those supporters now the Roar from the stadium at times is truly electric for you as a manager there can't be much better feelings no it's it's great to you know to be stood on the touch line and just enjoy it because um you know the whole ground are right behind the team and you know that's kind of that togetherness is is so important for us it really is and you know it's just making sure that the opposition find it difficult and the intensity their supporters create really helps that obviously the intensity of the way we play and put teams Under Pressure you know really doubles down on that but it's it's very important and and the supporters have been brilliant I think right from the first game this season you can see they are really up for this season they really are bolting away people away and yeah it's every game you know we say to the lads that you know don't get complacent we're doing well you know we can do get better it's like the supporters the next game we're ready to go again and everybody plays the part just finally next up for you side a Bristol Street Motors trophy game against sford on Tuesday is it going to be a good opportunity to get some players some minutes yeah definitely there's um a few players like James McLean who play today remarkably really he had trained all week had to have an injection in his foot um but obviously Jimmy was desperate to play and was thought he was superb so there's a few players like that we need to take out the firing line for Tuesday equally some need some minutes and we'll be looking to to you know have a good night here on Tuesday against the sford team we haven't had a game today so I expect them to field a strong team but that's good we want that and we want a really competitive game thank you for thank you
