we are in New York City for a two game series a Challenger Series game against the Staten Island fairy Hawks and one against the party animals so he's going to have to basically come out in front to hold it here that's kind of that's that's Statue liberty [Music] fine we decided after getting to the stadium and seeing the background and being able to see the Statue of Liberty in the background we thought what better way to start the show than with the Flaming pitch Kyle dipping his hand in some unidentifiable liquid it's happening here oh he lights the ball on fire Kyle leix is Lady Liberty and he gets a strike on the Flaming pitch we exist to make baseball fun that's where everything started so banana ball was born this is banana land [Music] yeah baby Staten Island New York got Statue of Liberty in the background somebody's going to hit a home run to stab GE Liberty and it's going to happen this is a homecoming for me I live a few miles right down the road I think I can actually see my apartment over there in the New York City skyline I've run the Bulldog ball club for over 10 years and the New York Bulldogs travel baseball program we're going to have about 350 400 Bulldog families and friends coming out it's going to be incredible I can't wait to see them I've been with some of these families for 10 plus years and I know they're proud to be able to say coach Adam is one of the bananas coaches I wanted to represent them and and just do great for them I want to make them proud so yeah that's a lot get out of here and right when you're about to go here right when you're like Midway it switches to your point of view oh let's go that's good video content right there oh my God maybe you should go sit down dude you all right how's the face I know dude that hurt dude why would you do that oh is he bleeding tilt is out tonight I mean I'm not worried about that just pisses me off you got to get that let's get started here olon you're starting at third where you at play defense for the first five innings first game fully back I don't think I'm ever going to take this off because now thinking about it I'm like if I ever get hit there again I might never play baseball again it's good to get this out and get ground balls and wear this in VP so I can actually see what it's like it's kind of hard to see out of it but I'll get used to it Daddy oh we're all good I'm pitching tonight so hopefully it'll it'll the swelling will go down before the game starts the only question I'm going to get asked tonight by all the kids is what happened to your face I'm going tell them I can't catch so we just met with the Staten Island fairy hawks just like we do every Challenger this group is uh pretty dialed in we haven't seen any uh you know eye rolls or anything like that um so far so good and I think it's going to be a another great Challenger show tonight you let me hear you [Applause] here he why do you have thep so I got hit by a pitch about a year ago and I ended going blind and when so there was this kid named RJ in Jacksonville he was trying to get our attention the whole game so I grabbed him we brought him and his family into the Dugout and little did I know he had mild autism and he was very uncomfortable in loud places we had a good conversation for the entire inning since then his mother was in contact with me said that he was doing well with his his friends uh getting along with this team a lot better hi Vinnie I got a home run I'm glad you chose me to go to The Dugout by origin one of the most heartwarming things I've ever uh experienced every single game there's moments like that with almost everybody so that's the beauty of banana land there's no place better I love doing these tricks my dad was my baseball coach growing up and he was always doing these goofy tricks he was always bouncing baseball bats on his nose I'm like Dad how did you do that he said just practice it I'd practice it for weeks that once I got in high school I started doing like dollar bills pencil staplers I get constantly made fun of for the stuff that I was doing but like I wasn't going to give up on that you know my dad unfortunately got diagnosed stage four cancer I had to find different ways to make him happy so that's where I started doing the bat tricks on Tik Tok and on Instagram we didn't suppress any of his Antics cuz it' be midnight or 1:00 in the morning and he is out there playing cornhole or throwing the bags over the garage or doing something You' just love to watch you know and sometimes by foot would be in the video taking pictures of him it was very cool growing up with him just fun every day it put smiles on kids faces and I know it makes my parents more proud than anything 2 3 show time [Laughter] [Applause] out of the new there grounder to short andell agular but Dan oerst was busting it down the line I don't even know if that throw would have been in time and now the extra hitter Mikey Edelman will try and get a board here one two now coming it's going to be just about 120 ft from home plate and that Ball's cranked deep to left field Edelman leaves the ballpark solo home run went over the wall more than 330 ft away in left field that kid who hit the Home Run was a 10-year-old baseball player in Yorkville Youth Baseball Academy when I started my coaching career is this not the most magical thing already jaon Olsen there goes coxy Bill following him towards second that's where the throw goes and it is not in time we're going to have a mid at bat pitching change with a one-w count on Jackson Olsen Mike Morrow the manager for the fairy Hawks tonight is to bring in the Lefty specialist who gets the strike out that's the first time in history right hisory of someone coming another picture coming into the game been at bat never seen it before never seen it before I love it my third at bat back after injury they bring in a lefty on two strikes he throws a Little Submarine pitch and I strike out I shouldn't have swung it that's on me you know as my grandfather told me for years and years and years that's banana ball so many years this game's crazy and I love it what's up homeboy dude if my plays having so much fun yeah dude really are great stuff man really good job good stuff we need more Challenger managers like [Applause] him to finish the world's smallest [Applause] [Music] pitcher you realize he's the most popular player we have it's not even close dude even when he hits in the cage the other players take videos of it coming to the Perry Hawks by way of the gateway Grizzlies in the Frontier League Ryan Co with his entire body on the ground able to grab the popup for his 113th trick play of the tour so make some noise and welcome to the final in bananas up two points to Phillips has been a menace out of the pen looking for the two out save it's up to Brandon Pew to keep this game going that one tapped to Phillips sliding throwing in time the bananas take care of the fairy Hawks two points to one and have won the Challenger Series against [Music] them this is crazy this is unbelievable who knew that there was going to be a player that I started my career my baseball coaching career back in 2011 in Yorkville you were there I was I was 10 years old you were 10 years old man and you went big fly on the Kyle luig long like 120 foot pitch that's like a top five moment of the entire tour I app I'll be in touch all right dude thanks so much a lot of family there's more people than I thought they came up from Florida they live here they all lived here okay yeah this is where I was born I lived here for 8 years I haven't seen a lot of them probably in about 6 years I'd say most of them have never even seen me play baseball cuz I moved at a young age so for them to see this for the first time they get to see me uh it's pretty cool special first of all cheers New York City what of the beautiful amazing night first time here well done well done well done all the way through I have one one presentation you know before this year we all said hey we're going to be a part of this we're going to continue to share all the things that are happening and you guys collectively have posted and shared all the amazing moments well we didn't talk about this but two months ago on June 5th the bananas hit 10 million followers all right more than almost every NFL team MLB team NHL team we have made a huge impact and it's creating fans and that's what we do so I'm going to give this to you guys hang up congratulations to everyone what's going on the [Music] Bus All right we in Staten Island baby we getting on the bus now so let's get on the bus ban what are you wearing today Jesse I'm going to mix it up I'm going with going with the yellow touch today first time go I like it I like it come on bring it in h ready you tapped in today yeah yeah man Staten Island and I went to Princeton we're going to start with h banana stuff bananas once you holy bananas guys one not you may not notice uh but uh Good Morning America is with us today and you haven't noticed uh and we have will joining the bananas right here so he's going to be joining ban and he's actually be doing player dance with the guys and be joining a part of some of the celebration so we know this we spent hours rehearsing he's going to have about an hour and a half to learn all the dances so no pressure at all um but we're excited to have you part of it well thank you so much for having me you guys really appreciate it the last thing is we're going to do the world's fastest inning tonight and it's going to be really sweet and we're going to practice that here in a second so this is how this is going to work so the bottom of the 6 when we make the last out it's going to be a 10c switch boom players Sprint off other plays Sprint Sprint on and then within 10 seconds you have another batter off so you have 10 seconds in between Innings so for instance if we're in a slow game this gives us an audible later if we know how to execute this we can go world's fastest let's pick up speed so we learn it here without hopefully a lot of pressure and we do it You' seen this event up on screens before but we're hanging out with them IRL today to see I have what it takes to become a savannah banana for just today let go let's [Music] go it's your birthday today huh 13 dude that's insane I've known you since you were like seven years old you are watching game 72 of the 2023 banana ball World Tour the bananas 28 and 24 against their AR Rivals the party animals all right so tonight I don't know if you guys ever heard of a guy named Stacey Sabathia big Yankees pitcher though he's here tonight he's throwing out the first pitch and this pitch counts fans tonight's first pitch will count in the game now joining us for our first pitch a former six-time Major League Allstar a former S Young Award winner and a World Series champion with your New York Yankees please welcome CC saio the pitch outside and it's going to be a one ball out on ree Hampton to start the game the party animals jubilant that CC gave them a slight advantage to begin thing everybody wanted the chance to talk to this guy and why not you're looking at a possible future Hall of Famer right there let's do [Music] this after a fantastic Challenger game with the fairy Hawks it was time to get back to the main competition the knockdown drag out fight for bragging rights for the tour the party animals were ready for the big city lights but it was the bananas bats that were a blaze early running walk-offs in the second third and fourth as they got five terrific Innings from Ryan Kellogg on the bump and took Staten Island from the animals deep takes off a strike out of Dakota MCB the ball gets away from bber Eric Jones Junior scores the inning winning run Ang win the sixth inning four runs to nothing and get their first point of the night and now this is absolute pandemonium here we're already oh my gosh G deleno is hitting that's a base knock let go let's go let's go let go let go let go let go this is madness how are we already how are we already in action here DJ The Invader on the mound Cox attacks this between the legs deleno at third base with two down Dustin baver now and he pops this one right side watch out Dakota mcfaden and Bill looy in Pursuit and Bill takes down Mike Kinski one of our good friends from the rer broadcast team who hopefully is AOK the party animals down to their final out with the 22 cut in a miss the 126 curve gets the job done and the bananas have won the first of three games here in New York against the party animals after 82 games across 31 different cities including 15 Challenger games we are wrapping up this Monumental tour in Upstate New York with one game in Syracuse and then the final showdown in Cooper toown the bananas could still lock in Victory in Syracuse but the party animals are not likely to go down without a [Music] fight
